I used to wear a watch but then it ran out of batteries and I never did figure out how to change watch-batteries. Also people were always asking me what time it was because they knew I had a watch, instead of taking out their phones. Darn them...

But when I wore it, I had it on my RIGHT wrist - this always shocks people for some reason, but I'm left handed damn it - with the face on the back of my wrist. Opposite of how you have it that is, OP.

I wear mine on my right wrist, facing away from me when I'm standing with my hands by my sides.

unused thanks to the wonders of the Smartphone.
The pocketwatch has returned, and it has more functions than even a 100,000 dollar watch.

I wear mine on my right wrist, clock side on the top of my arm. Everyone tells me that since I'm right handed, I should wear it on my left wrist, but it feels weird.

I wear a silver Seiko solar powered watch on my left wrist facing upwards- wearing it on the reverse side is a bit effeminate.

I don't think mobiles have made watches redundant, watches, and by that i mean the expensive ones, do have an aesthetic quality that mobile phones can't replace.

I have a pocket watch I carry. There is no substitute for that kind of awesome.
If I ever get a jacket I'll so get one of those.

Despite being a right handed dude, I also wear my watch on that wrist. Odd habit that I picked up years ago. Seems normal to me but other people seem to become bemused by it.

anti-theists and my little pony fans are obviously the top 2, but there's a lot of overlap and I can't think of any others that would push pocket watchers out of the #3 slot

I don't need a watch, I have an implant on my optic nerve that overlays my vision with a rudimentary heads up display which has the time in the bottom right hand corner....

ok I lied, I'm right handed and I wear a green seiko chrono on my right wrist facing out. I can't stand wearing a watch on my left wrist, it feels unnatural.

I don't get all this Hurr Durr I have no watch I has phone lol being bandied about. I want to know the time, I look at my wrist. I don't have to go rooting through pockets for my berry. I dont have to unlock it or take it out of a holster or anything. It's just there. on my wrist. aaah Convenience.

I would like a nice pocket watch but they all seem to be garish and gold like good fountain pens. SOmebody give me a nice SILVER pocket watch!

Haven't bothered to wear one in years - always having a phone in my pocket made having a watch as well seem kind of redundant. Really they're just man-bling these days.

When I did need to wear one for telling the time, it was on my right wrist with the face on the palm side. Because I'm special.

If I wear a watch it's usually face is on the inside of my wrist. Otherwise I use the good ol' cellular phone to get the time of day.

Seeing as I haven't entered the cell phone age yet, a watch is actually useful to me still.

I remove the bands off any watch I own and keep it in my pocket.

I came into this thread preparing to bring up how much I really want a nice pocket watch, and was totally expecting no one else who was into them. I love it when I'm wrong.
