You're first mistake is the "Oh, they're crazy why bother figuring them out" point of view. They have a very specific agenda; Pissing people off till someone physically assaults one of them, then they sue and take the money to fund the spread of their pretend Jesus-babble. That's at the heart of protesting anything that will really make them look like fucks.

And who better to goad into either taking a swing or just "an incident of assault" then a (I would think more likely than not, male) High-School student. Or their parent if they can push the right buttons with their child.

It's their "donation campaign" nothing more.
