The First Amendment is a *****, aint it? It sucks what they're doing , and I don't agree with it at all, but that's the price of living in a free society. Free Speech doesn't mean Nice Speech That I Agree With'.

People should show up with ghetto blasters and play "Holy Diver" in the ears of WBC...that would rule.
Not only that, walk towards the idiots holding up the horns and shouting at them to go away.

Or something like that.

Eventually their bullshitting should end. I hope...
Oh, it will.

Keep in mind, they are still mortal.

-eye twitch- Okay, I say smile, nod and then find out where they parked and slash their tires. Break a window or two. Pour nail polish remover on the paint. That should do it... Better yet, they're based in Topeka, yes? That's not far from here... -evil handrub-

Fred Phelps is 80. So, just enough time to get a whole bunch of people organised and picket his upcoming funeral, eh?
I am so in. Already got my "God Hates pompous assholes!" sign ready to go.

are these the same people who protest at soldiers funerals?
Yep, the same twisted (possibly inbred) family that protest the funerals of Soldiers.

I'm amazed that a **** like him has managed to outlive Dio.

The congregation is made up mostly of pastor Fred Phelps and his family. The pastor has 13 children, and at least 54 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He described himself as an "old-time" gospel preacher in a CNN interview in 2006, saying, "You can't preach the Bible without preaching the hatred of God."
I find that statement utterly appalling. It's the words of someone who is completely twisting the actual intent of the Bible to suit his own hateful, bigoted view of the world. Last time I read the Bible (which was a few years ago, I admit...) God was supposed to be a merciful, loving God. So what if Dio pioneered the 'devil horns' gesture? He still brought joy, or at least some sorts of positive emotions to his millions of fans.

Good lord...it's people like this that give Christians a bad name. I sincerely apologize for the fanatical lemmings that pretend to share my beliefs.
Amen to that. I realize they are doing this to spread their message, but it also says in the Bible that God's disciples shouldn't shove their message down the throats of people.

I REALLY hope the hearse driver is a hardcore metal fan and takes the chance to plow through the mentally defective bunch.

You know what I'd like to see? A large group of metal fans picketing and protesting at that church's services for the next week. Or month. Or year.

It might teach them a thing or two about respect for the privacy of others.

I've got a way to deal with this. It'll be a splash.

Step 1: Go to funeral (bring friends, boom boxes, cameras, and Tomboy single's)
Step 2: Wait until the WBC shows up and starts picketing.
Step 3: From inside the crowd, raise boom box above head (after inserting CD) and get attention (sonic feedback should do nicely, if you can create it). You may want to set it to a specific track.
Step 4: Tell your buddy to turn on the camera.
Step 5: Shout "1, 2, 1-2-3-4!" and push play.
Step 6: This happens.
Step 7: ????
Step 8: Profit!

Get the word out people; tell everyone you know.

One of you guys be a pal and get this onto the Chans, wouldya?
Would be certainly awsome, it's just that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqv8UJc72SU would be better.

But highly doubt chan would be interested, they are not personal army.

But mayby if Ano will say something... Who knows.

I hope all the metal lovers kill them. No, I don't care if this is something I shouldn't say, but the WBC is the very scum of the Earth. Forget Hitler, forget Stalin, forget Mao, these people are pure evil, but with less power. They don't deserve to live on God's green earth. While the metal fans are on a Dio concert in Heaven, they will be in Hell. (And I will be on an In Flames concert with my family and best friend.)

I hate these people. If we could, I say we should form a gigantic circle around their church so they can't leave and blast Black Sabbath all day. Complete this with "God Hates the WBC" signs and we have a plan I could really go with.

I'm so glad he got banned from entering the UK when he was planning to picket a play in my hometown.
Fred Phelps is going to die very soon, and it won't be from natural causes. The ground will split apart and he will be swallowed by fire, and the skies will open and all of the soldiers whose funerals he picketed, the men and women he insulted by calling them 'enablers' of some kind (whatever the fuck THAT means), and the groups like 'fags' that he's attacked for no reason will laugh and throw rocks. As he goes, those of us around on the day will rain blows on him, and we'll pick up his wife and family and toss them in with him.

This is coming from an atheist, so you can tell how much I hate the guy.
