"Then it was a battle to remember. Will you sing of your soldier's glory?" He grunted again and then remembered an oft seen occurence among humans. While their men fought or were slaughtered around them the commanders of many ranks always fled or attempted to. The leader should die with his men. "Why are human leaders such cowards? They seek to flee when they should have died with their men."

"My duty is to defend the bridge and judge where my men are needed. There are squad leaders on the battlefield to lead the troops into battle while the officers see the big picture."

He growled. "If a leader cannot lead from the front he is no leader. Tell me this as well human. How did you achieve your rank?" He said leaning closer. "By cowering behind your own men and surviving?"

 

[Skrag The Summoner]

The Four.....Horsemen as they may be road at great speed towards the surface of the planet. as their steeds took hoof upon the ground their momentum dissipated in a flash yet something lingered. The first horseman rode upon a white steed, the ground sprouting with life as his steed galloped. The second had that of an aura of noxious fumes, these caused great boils to sprout from the ground and engorge in decay. The third galloped with a trail of fire, its hoofs ablaze with the heat of a furnace, and the last.....the ground shriveled and everything dropped dead, shriveling upon the ground

"Follow, my brothers, I sense that of great ......potential"

 

[Kirke]

Dalik calmy turned around to face the Swordmaster.
"I was chosen for my rank because it was the position I was best suited for. I know troopers who have fought for decades, yet only hd the rank of private. I am also responsible for the well being of my ship, and coordinating with other Blades so that the battle is the most effective possible. I do not fear battle, but it is not my duty to be on the frontlines. It was never my choice, but if I was ordered to lead from the front, I would."

"Bah!" He said turning away. "On Sanghelios a warrior is only considered for mating if he has killed two enemies in battle. I held the rank of Field Marshall. I had personally killed thousands to achieve that rank." He turned back around. "I judge you unfit for command. Soldiers cannot follow a leader who is behind them. Show me your worth!" He said hand flexing and reaching for his Energy Sword.

 

[Kirke]

Dalik held his ground, arms crossed over his chest.
"I have sworn my life to my tribe, to do whatever I am told. I care not what you think of me, I know my worth."

Maris walked out of the ship, and drew her spinfusor.
"You better not draw that weapon!"

He snarled from his hunched stance. "I challenge him. If he lasts longer than 3 strokes I will tell him of my failure and ask of him his name." He glanced at the weapon wielding human while his left hand hovered towards his Plasma Rifle.

 

[Skrag The Summoner]

The four housemen drove their steeds onwards, disagreeing in a eerie fashion and reappearing upon a cloud overlooking the group

"Conflict? Anger? WAR!!!!" the third horseman yelled, his steed rearing at his thunderous voice. He lurched forward, as if to charge down towards Dalik and the Swordmaster but the first held out his hand, stopping the charging steed

"Stop Brother, we must not interfere with the realm of mortals until the day of reckoning"

 

[Kirke]

"As I said, I care not what you think of me. Since I have no quarrel with you, I do not accept your challenge."

He snarled and flared his mandibles. "You deny me this? Defend yourself! There is no honour in fighting an unarmed opponent." He growled while drawing the Energy Sword but not activating it.

 

[Skrag The Summoner]

"I WILL NOT HAVE PEACE!!!!" the third horseman yelled again, drawing his gigantic sword.

"Damnit man shut the hell up, your not going down there" the second horseman retorted, grabbing his long,decaying whip.

 

[Kirke]

"If you attack, I will fight back with all my might, and the lieutenant over there will as well."
Dalik stayed in his rather relaxed position while Maris prepared for battle.

"2 on 1?...then it is a fair fight." With a motion of his hand the Energy Sword turned on with its signature crackle. Not wanting to instantly kill the human he started with a slow diagnol swing to allow him time to draw his weapon.

 

[Kirke]

Dalik leaped back, drawing his spinfusor and using his jetpack to gain elevation on the Swordmaster. He and Maris fired one disc each.

He leapt aside of the shots. "Cowards! Fight me with honour!" He shouted raising his fist.

 

[Kirke]

Dalik fired another disc before landing, and Maris waited a little to see where the Swordmaster would leap next then fired there.

He snarled and started strafing, deactivating the Energy Sword while drawing his Plasma Rifle in his left hand and started firing. His long strides and eratic movement were part of the Elite way of war. Never present a stationary target at any range.

 

[Skrag The Summoner]

"Violence.....sustains....me" the third horseman said as the blazing inferno that was his steed subsided into a smolder

"Thats better, now who wants some popcorn? i think this will be a good one" The second horseman said as a rotten bag of what can only be assumed to be popcorn was pulled from a grime encrusted satchel upon the saddle of his horse.
