Sephiroth sighed. There was so much going on.
It was immensely difficult, he supposed, for his Controller to make any sort of contribution to the plot with all of these other Controllers also vying to become the major contributor. Sephiroth was not used to being a side character. Nor, he suspected, was his Controller. In fact, he judged that his entire reason to be was some desperate attempt to avoid being exactly that.
Nobody ever thought they would end up as a supporting character, and yet here he was in a world full of people all with one motivation:
AFFECT THE PLOT.
Some, evidently, were better at that than others.
In fact, if Sephiroth's Controller decided just to stop now, there was no way of knowing what would happen to him. He would cease not only to have meaning, but to exist. He would be in some limbo, frozen in one spot and yet somehow not existing in any spot at all. Unable to affect or be affected, without the being that gave him purpose.. he was nothing.
That hurt.
