[HEADING=3]Chapter 7: The Dark One[/HEADING]

Nicole sat up from her perch on the Eiffel Tower. Soon.... She went over to the Anti-Koltanium Bomb and activated it...

All around the city, the roars of beasts and other Koltanium infected startled the quiet morning of Paris. The infected started their way to the Eiffel Tower.

Winter, knowing what is about to happen, starts running to the Tower as well.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"Oh, just splendid thank you." Sara said with a smile.
<color=purple>"It is a beautiful day isn't it?"

Gwen heard the bomb 'n stuff....
<color=purple>"Oooooor not."

OoC: When did we move back to Paris?

Riou looks up. "I wonder. It almost seems foreboding..."

OoC: @Jort It's not something he does on his own. It is the True Rune. It shapes his destiny and others. And it's not all rainbows and puppies. The Bright Shield Rune has it's own desires, that I don't want to spoil. And resisting that urge is dangerous to him.

@Slenn: Bomb didn't go off... In actuality, "bomb" would be a terrible word for this device. Its more like a "resonator".

From the Eiffel Tower, the sounds of gun fire and the cutting of flesh can be heard.

"DIE CRUSADER SCUM!" yells a voice from the Tower.

"TRANS-AM!" Explosions are heard.

@Rosh. Well, she heard screams from the "bomb"

OOC: @CmmdrRosh in relation to the "bomb". if it is an air based pathogen like a canister of tear gas, it is not exploding as such but still constantly emitting the aforementioned pathogen. or am i missing the point?

@saltyk it makes no difference. Orikan makes these productions according to the natural laws of time,space and a advanced form of hybrid astronomy and chromontology (don't have the necron codex on hand but they have their own name for what he does, i just can't remember it). something unnatural can change the foreseen outcome so it becomes his personal quest to correct these mistakes (for example: the warp is essentially concentrated emotions mixed with magic, travel through the warp can create unforeseen events)

Tophat groaned.
"Why can't we go a day without something happening?"

"I suspect nothing good... It sounds like war."

@Jortluzz: At this point, it really doesn't matter. Paris will die. That's final.

Fucking help us damn-it! yelled a voice in Gwen's head. It was obviously Winter. A mental image was shown in her head.

Hundreds of Koltanium-infected Parisians swarmed around the base of the Eiffel Tower, clawing their way up. On a platform above was Winer guarding Nicole who was playing around with a device latched on the tower.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>Don't yell in my.... mind alright! I was just asking! Geez. "Come on you guys! Winter needs our help at the tower!" Gwen yelled, and she ran towards the Tower.

Sara and Gordon followed behind.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat sighed, and ran after Gwen.
Why am I even doing this?

Orikan paced towards the Eiffel tower, striding atop the rooftops and gliding across streets as if he could walk on air.

OOC: Hi everyone. Just in time or what?

Grace and Gerry suddenly awoke and saw people running away from the ship. They follow. "What is wrong?" Grace asked Gwen as she ran beside her.

<color=purple>"There were these screams earlier all over Paris and Winter shouted in my mind to help her."

As the group arrives, a lone Koltanium infected stands below the platform where Winter and Nicole are. It turns to the group, glaring at everybody venomously.

It unleashes a screaming roar at the group.

"Ah hell... Of course! It would just happen to appear now!"
