She nodded at Scorch, but generally disregarded him for the moment as she turned to the figure. "They don't have that sort of thing..." she readied her spirit wrist blades.

Phoenix walked over to over to the figure slowly and shyly.

OoC: @Nailik ...wow. We REALLY need some more non-caucasian characters in the popular culture. And yeah, you were right about the brown. It'll work. For the record, if there's anyone actually trying to imagne what the characters sound like, I'd imagne her sounding like Sheva from Resi 5.

Also, I'm trying to say she's coming from a little ways off, not just right out of the wall next to the group.

The figure became clearer: a woman with brown skin, a staff on her back, and wearing a robe with leather armour. She stopped for a second, waving to get attention, then continuedo nward.

Scorch glanced at Crystal.
"I've seen people disappear because of their eyesight, and I've killed people who just happened to work for the wrong side. All warfare is disgusting." He looked somber, then added: "Except for explosions of course!" In a more cheery tone.

OOC: On the topic of coloured characters, another one of my choices for historical type character was Hannibal Barca. That would have been fun.

She asks Katrina, as Crystal puts her hat back on. "Well whoever that is....I hope there friendly....I'm still to tired to fight..." She then turned to Scorth. "Too true......although with explosions it sounds like you'd have a happier time" She said to him jokingly.

"That's horrible..." Terra said glumly. "Isn't there some way around this? Like maybe... get to this 'Prize' without killing the others? Should you manage that, then no one wold have a reason to fight, no?"

"They kill magic users where you're from? Where I'm from magics the only thing keepin the monsters out of the towns and whatnot." Raven turned to the figure "More company? You guys are a magnet for people."

Eventually the woman stopped. She reached into a pouch on her belt, pulling something out, glowing in her hand. She concentrated for a moment, then jumped... and landed inches in front of Phoenix. She put the object back into it's pouch, then looked over the group. "Hmm..."

 

[Kirke]

"Everything's better with explosions."
Scorch said while taking out a thermal detenator, which he threw a few decimeters into the air, catching it when it came down. He repeated this while looking over at the woman, looking a bit suprised as she jumped.

Katrina shook her head. "I've seen him recently, a sadistic grin on his face wielding a tech fire sword. He'll stop at nothing to make sure magic is erased from history... And his extreme obsession with me... It's disgusting and just reeks of incest." she gripped her hands as they became fists. She turned to Scorch with a better mood. "I have to agree. Pyro magic is really, REALLY fun to do."

Phoenix hopped back from the woman as she hid behind a tree and watched the new person.

I believe it is the work of God, and His word has always been absolute. Unless it has been twisted and corrupted in the telling over the centuries, then I do not think there is another way."

"Then... when we get Joseph, you should read the book! If you're immortal, you should be fine." Terra suggested, her mood lifted slightly.

The woman looked at the cowering Phoenix. "Are you allright?"

"I don't need magic for it, just some good gear. Like this."
He said, grabbing the detonator and holding it up for Katrina.
"Class-A thermal detonator, with a five meter blast radius."

"Maybe... didn't it desintegrate that Axel fellow into ash? I've never heard of an Immortal experiencing such a fate, but if there was one other way of slaying me other than the traditional method, that sounds as though it might work." Jacques said thoughtfully.

"I agree, making potion bombs is quite fun!" Crystal said to Scorth, she then looked at the women. "yeah, we get new people quite a lot.....more and more recently too....." She said to Raven. "So much for 'everyone in the world is dead'"

Katrina shrugged. "Whatever floats your boat." She sighed. "Well... Now that you guys know, perhaps I should actually have my true armor out then."

"Yes... Y-y-you... startled me and..." Phoenix bit her lip alittle.

@Gear: Katrina and Ethan are based on Ragna and Jin. With the current state of the game having this 'magical inquisition' it fits just perfectly.

"Hmm... Axel was a demon, but I don't think he was immortal." Terra replied as she looked up a bit.
