Flying towards the poachers, the bug thought on what would be the most effective method of taking them down, deciding on the method it used to hunt baboons. Holding its wings still, the bug began to descend, then went into a dive. While swooping in, the bug shot a glob of thick glue from its nasus at the poacher that walked up front, covering him in the sticky residue, and when the other poacher began to turn around upon seeing this, the bug took hold of both of his arms with its pincers.
While the poacher that was covered in glue tried to move, which wa smade more difficult by the noxious fumes the glue gave off, the bug lifted the poacher it was carrying closer to its mouth and took a bite out of his neck, tearing out a piece of the cervical vertibrea, essentially decapitating the man. Shallowing the bite whole, bone included, the bug descended again and touched down on the ground, dropping the corpse and walking over to the poacher covered in glue and stung it with its tail stinger, injecting a large amount of venom.
With its still living prey envenomated, the bug walked back to the dead poacher and felt at the corpse with its palps before biting the it into manageable chunks, which it then swallow, hair, bone and clothing included. Once this was done, the bug felt at the rifle that was left behind with its palps, and lightly clacked its mandibles upon finding nothing about it was edible, thus being nothing it wanted to bother with.
With its first prey eaten, the bug moved to the second poacher, who by now had collapsed as a result of both the venom coursing through his veins, and the noxious fumes. Pulling the poacher out of the glue with some effort, then began biting the poacher into chunks again and eating these.
Once it was finished, the bug moved to the rhino corpse and began eating this was well. It could only manage to eat a portion of the lower left hind leg, however, being full after it. The bug tried to drag the rhino away, but with it weighing well over a tonne, it was way too heavy for the bug to move, and it was forced to leave the corpse for now.
Walking away, the bug dug a tunnel, crawled inside, and cocooned itself.
