Goku scratched the back of his head with a sheepish smile. "Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. When I realized you were heading towards us, I figured you were coming to attack us. And I'm not really looking to fight you as long as you're not a threat to us or anyone else."

He then looked at the car then back to the man, his expression getting more serious. "Of course, you did try to run over one of these people here and without provocation. So, you will forgive me if we don't assume your intentions are entirely benign."

The man looked over his shoulder at Goku, and said, "I wasn't trying to run her down. I was coming to talk."

Tavish caught up to the group and pointed his grenade launcher directly at the man. "Don't you move, unless you want to get buried in a soup can." Tavish threatened. Keeping his weapon raised with his right hand, took out the wanted poster for Darren with his left hand. Tavish unfolded it and looked at the picture to see if this was the man he was looking for.

Seeing that this man was in fact his target, Tavish put the poster away and pulled out a bottle. "This is him. This one is MY bounty, so all of you can step back now." Tavish said to the group. He approached Darren with the clear intention of hitting him with the bottle.

Samus stood back at Tavish's request, disengaging her armour to draw her Paralyser just in case.

For the first time that anyone among the group had seen, Goku's expression twisted into anger. His eyes narrowed and his eyebrows angled down, as his smile disappeared replaced with what was almost a frown, and his muscles tightened as he clenched his fists.
"You don't expect us to believe that, right? You accelerated after turning directly for her." He said with a much deeper tone than normal that belied his anger at the obvious lie.

Darren stared at Tavish and raised his hands slowly. "Fuck." Hearing Goku, he replied, "I'm a professional driver. I would have stopped in time. I'm not a murderer, without a good reason."

Tavish swung the bottle at Darren's head despite that he appeared to surrender.

 

[Slenn]

"Exactly, your acceleration was that of a person wanting to do a hit and run."

She let Tavish approach him.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Oh come on, really? You're just gonna give up? Damn wimp."

Vicky expressed her disappointment as she rested her left arm against her hip.

Darren grabbed Tavish's wrist with one hand, preventing his attack from connecting, and punched the demoman in the nose. "That wasn't very polite."

 

[Saltyk]

Watching Darren punch Tavish, Goku commented, "So, it seems that your apparent surrender was a lie, too." He said taking a defensive stance.
"I don't want to hurt you, but if you leave me no choice, I will."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Oh-ho-ho! Now we're talking!"

Vicky commented excitedly. She didn't make any moves to help Tavish at all yet.

 

[Slenn]

While their target was occupied, EMily moved to the back of him, ready to strike if Tavish fell from the punch. Her hands still humming and giving a smell of ozone from the charge being stored.

"He swung a bottle at my head. Just because I surrendered doesn't mean I'm just gonna let him hit me." Darren pointed out.

Even as Tavish recoiled from the attack, he raised his grenade launcher using his free hand and pushed it barrel first against Darren's stomach. Tavish smiled, blood dripping from his nose. "I thought I told you not to move." Tavish said, pushing his weapon against Darren."Now, you gonna come with me quietly? The bounty pays the same whether I take all of you in or just your head."

"And all of the rest of you can stay outta this!" Tavish shouted at the group.

Samus paused for a second, but reholstered her Paralyser, activating her suit once more.

 

[Drakmorg]

"As if I needed more evidence that this guy was an idiot."

Vicky muttered to herself. She sighed as she kicked her right foot against the ground while leaving her left planted, causing her to slide back a good distance.

 

[Saltyk]

Goku looked to Tavish then to Darren, not dropping his guard for an instant, however. A moment passed before he spoke. "If you wish, I'll stand aside. But, I'd recommend this not end in violence."
He relaxed into a normal standing position before looking to Tavish. "That goes for you, too. There's no need to attack a foe who surrenders. We can bind him before turning him into the authorities to prevent any trickery."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Lead the way." Darren said, letting go of Tavish's wrist. Tavish would feel the bounty poster vibrating, like a phone.

EMily relaxed herself, seeing as how their target was complying with Tavish's demands.
