You say to those discussing the fight that you heard nothing about the parking being a problem and the only thing you heard about was a dispute over a glass of beer, which could not possibly have merited such a high payment. In fact, even if it was also about the roof, you could have sold your ship for far less than a million. You continue, saying that you have no problem paying for things, but within reason and that they didn't accept your credits anyway.
You then begin to talk about the actual fight. After she pulled a gun on you, you viewed her as an enemy. So while you did fire the first shot after the explosion, that was simply because it's a bad idea to let the enemy get the first shot off. She did try to surrender, but you had no way of accepting it since you were about to fall unconscious and you didn't see anyone else nearby who could have subdued her. If you accepted surrender, you might well have had your neck snapped.
You finish off by saying that you think sending in a collector who had a pistol in her hand when approaching was a really bad idea, since that's the reason you grabbed your blaster at all.

"No I'm saying after Tavish tried to kill that... thing in the water. There was a long pause where nothing happened. Why not stop the fight from having a chance to start again? I don't appreciate you twisting my words like that." Sophia retorted back, looking rather annoyed that Seras was trying to spin this away from the real issues. "What's your fixation on this anyways? I admit it's not something I'm very happy with either way, but with the way you're acting it seems like you're having more issues with what happened than I am. Why didn't you stop it then? Did you know her or something, is that why you didn't want to step in?"

You look over at Seras and say that it only lasts half an hour on highest power setting, if that, and you wasn't sure when you'd wake up or if it even had enough energy for a high-power blast. With nobody you know is skilled enough close, you didn't want to take the chance that you might get killed in your sleep, not to mention what would happen to anyone else. Perhaps, you continue, annoyed, if she wanted to complain about how you take care of situations she should get involved in them instead of hiding in your ship. You tell the group at large that you need to run some diagnostics on the ship and excuse yourself before walking back to your ship.

"And like I said in Japan, I don't know how to fight really, I've never been trained in anything more than basic defense classes. I said I would run if things got too hairy, and I wasn't about to have another situation like that last bounty with all those nightmares come about." Sophia crossed her arms, not liking the idea of bringing that sore memory back up but it was a reasonable answer. "On top of all that with how fast and how many bullets were flying, I thought I'd be more likely to get shot at that point. And with that medic not around at that time, who else would help Shara if I wasn't there?"
