Although its own flames made it difficult to see, the bug could it had hit the people. It had meant for them to disperse so it could make itself scare rather them incinerate them, although it was no proverbial skin off its nose when the did get hit.
Stopping generating the fire, the bug hissed softly as its hands smoked, still being unable to actually diverte fire away from itself. Seeing now arivals through the smoke, the bug found its escape route cut off once more. By one who appeared to be mechanical, at that. That Samus' armour was, in fact, armour, the bug didn't know. What it did know, is that it had to take a different approach to the situation. Fortunately for it, its thought processes were as fast as its reflexes, coming up with a plan in less then a second, although it didn't think the plan through entirely, largely due to now feeling panic at being trapped in a confined space.
Seeing Victoria lunge at it, the bug tugged in its tail, leaned to the side, and leapt towards the wall to the right, evading the knife jab. It used its insect wings to adjust its trajectory, turning its feet toward where it would land, and as it did this, haphazzardly blasted a jet of flame at Victoria with its left hand.
Wherther it would hit or not, the bug colided with the wall, bended through its knees, then imediately pushed off it, lunging itself at Shara holding up the blanket. It tried to grab her throat with its right arm, and Shara's left arm with its left hand. It used quite a bit of force in pushing itself off the wall, possibly throwing Shara off the bed if it was successful.
