With Monsoon jumping up into the air, Sophia tried to see if she could land a couple shots with the plasma gun. It wasn't all that likely to hit given the distance and how small the target was, but with how many pieces there were it might be possible. When Victoria fell the second time, Sophia eventually noticed and approached her again.

"Hey! You look worse than a drunk right now, did you get hit in the head?" She asked loudly, turning Victoria a bit so she could see each other face to face.

Roland and X-9's bullets zipped by Monsoon's head, because hitting a head flying around at high speed in a cloud of other body parts turns out to be hard. However, a few other body parts were hit, knocking them out of sync with the rest of the parts a little bit.

Group One.

At maximum energy, Gwen was able to slow down the head and any other parts flying at her with a reverse gravity well worth 15 g's.

With the head slowed down, EMily took careful aim and gathered the quantum mechanical data for laser cooling water. Like a kid making a pistol gesture with their hand, she outstretched her arm and shot a laser cooler at the head. With the rain storm in effect, this would be throwing substantially cold water that would freeze like an ice storm.

Dace too let out several hurried shots at the body parts along with everyone else.

The parts flying towards Gwen were sent flying by her gravity field, sacttering them so much that Dace's shots flew past them. They regained cohesion and reformed into Monsoon's body, standing on the plaza wall. He raised his hand, and the parked APCs and helicopters lifted into the air, knocking together like snooker balls and shedding most of their armour, then flew at the group, being used as blunt projectiles.

Group 2.

Vicky was thoroughly out of it, with blurry vision, an intense headache, and a great case of confusion muddling her senses and keeping her from perceiving correctly. Sophia's speech was muddled in her ears and she couldn't make it out, nor could she even tell that it was Sophia next to her. Reflexively, she kicked Sophia away and slowly dragged herself in the opposite direction, assuming she was a threat. This would knock Sophia out of the way of a flying APC, leaving it to fly over Vicky as she laid on the ground, crashing into the building next to her and pelting her with debris.

My legs aren't working right, and there's a few tons of war machinery heading straight for me. And it's still raining. Not a good day.

[An APC smashes into X-9, effectively burying him under the shattered and crumpled remains.]

Sophia got launched off her feet from Victoria's kick. She got plenty of scrapes from falling to the pavement as she fell back, but at least she hadn't been winded badly with the help of the tactical vest.[footnote](The way that thing had been used it was more akin to a bunch of large pillows strapped to her.)[/footnote] She groaned as she looked up just in time to see the APC impact into the wall, her heart freezing for a moment realizing how close that had actually been. It then dawned on her Victoria was still in harms way, and while she looked to Monsoon to see what he was up to, she started generating a glob of chocolate, seemingly unaffected by the rain.

If she was able to, she would send out a tendril of the chocolate like a rope to latch onto Victoria's leg and pull her away from the falling parts.

Roland ran to the side as soon as he saw that Monsoon was preparing to throw the vehicles, so he was able safely avoid the projectiles. When he saw that X-9 was not so fortunate, he ran over to the pile of rubble and tried to dig up the robot.

Samus used the Screw Attack to shear through the APC headed towards her, making it explode in mid air, knocking her down so hard her landing made a crack in the pavement.

Sophia's tendril managed to drag Victoria away the moment before a giant block squished her face.

Monsoon jumped down to the ground, his faceplate having slid down to cover his mouth, and a cylinder pushed from the centre of the faceplate, glowing the same purple aura as his magnetic power. His entire body was now enveloped in a visible magnetic aura, separating and reconstructing instantly and seamlessly as he ran towards the group, sais slashing. EMily would detect an enormous amount of magnetic power coming from each segment of his body.


Group One.

Dace tried to run away but was too slow in trying to outrun or dodge the huge vehicle hurtling towards him. He's pretty dead.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen activated Graviton Form in a purple flash of light.

Well... EMP's are out of the question. He seems to have some electro-countermeasures on him from the use of his electromagnets that also hold his body parts together. But enough of that, he sure is taking a long time. It's time to score a hit on this guy.
"You know what comes after a rainstorm? Sunlight." From both her palms extended forward she produced her solar laser at Monsoon's center mass.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Emily's solar beam sped towards Monsoon, but his torso split apart, letting the beam pass harmlessly through the empty air where his chest was a second ago. He chuckled as he reformed and jumped on her, pinning her down and stabbing at her face with the sais. This close, EMily would feel a spike of electromagnetic power coming from the cylinder poking out of his face.

Group Two.

Vicky tried to keep from getting pulled back, but lacked the strength and coordination to put up any sort of meaningful resistance. She tried once more to stand back up, but only wound up collapsing on the ground again in a coughing fit.

 

[Chungus]

After latching her chocolate tendril on to Victoria, Sophia began looking around for a escape route, although not having the best eyesight and the rainstorm further reducing vissibility, she couldn't spot the crack Joel had escaped through earlier. This left her with the option of simply dragging Victoria as far away from the battle as she could.

She occasionally cast a glance back to Victoria as she dragged, but for the most part, she kept looking around, not wanting to be blindsinded by one of Monsoon's bodyparts. This lead her to seeing the piece falling rubble coming. Yelping, Sophia released the chocolate tendril and jumped backwards, the tendril dissipating as she did.

Blowing a mute sigh, Sophia looked back to Victoria, seeing her try to stand up, only to fall down again. "Stop moving around!" She said more forcefully as she approached Victoria, moving at a quick pace. When she reached her, Sophia tried to scoop Victoria up, but huffed when she found Victoria was too heavy for her to lift, currently.

Roland found that the rubble covering X-9 was too heavy for him to lift alone, so he turned back towards the fight and saw that Dace was crushed as well. Roland holstered his gun and began walking to Monsoon, anger gradually showing on his face more and more with each step.

[color=01A9DB]"Monsoon!"[/color] Roland yelled at the top of his lungs. [color=01A9DB]"You have broken Ka-Tet! You will face me!"[/color] He continued walking towards Monsoon, not making a move to draw his guns or to try his hypnotism.

Samus struggled to stand, recovering from her harsh landing.

Monsoon turned to face Roland, seeing him draw closer. Not giving a damn about his challenge, he instead detached one arm, complete with sai, sending it off to slash at Roland by itself while he refocused on stabbing EMily.

Group One.

 

[Slenn]

EMily pushed back the sais with a powerful magnetic field coming from her forehead, preventing the weapon from piercing her. This was also assisted with a repulsive gravity field Gwen was generating in front of EMily's face. When Monsoon paused to look over at Roland, she seized her chance to think. She saw that the cylinder came out of his head during this special mode and contained a large amount of electromagnetic energy within. EMily made a finger snap to Gwen with her hands to tell her to lock his head in place with a gravity field. Just to make sure she wouldn't miss.

"Don't stare at the sun."

And her eyes beamed two burning solar lasers at the cylinder.
