Joel moved his arm back out of the way of Armstrong's fists, and headbutted the senator. If Joel's headbutt was successful, it would feel like Armstrong had been hit with a sledgehammer, and the force would be quickly followed by a quick but intense flash of heat.

With Gwen's help, Joel hit Armstrong before he could knock the blade out of his hand, stunning him for a moment. However, he shook it off quickly. He jumped back, then hit the ground again, creating a wall of flame around himself to stop anyone getting close and obscure his attacks.

EMily welded together, with the use of an industrial laser, a large body-sized sphere of metal with various spikes on it. With Gwen's help, they hurled the object towards Armstrong like a cannonball. If the fire was there to obscure his attacks, it would also obscure attacks from the party on him.

The ball of metal plowed through the wall of flames... And stopped as Armstrong caught it. Evidently he had been waiting for someone else to make a move. He threw it at Joel, laughing.

Gwen could feel that the ball's mass was headed for Joel after Armstrong caught it and threw it. She sped upwards through levitation towards the metal sphere and rebounded it back at Armstrong with a gravity slingshot.

EMily generated a molecular shield from the atmospheric gas around her.

Armstrong hardened himself, standing his ground and tanking the huge metal ball. It split apart as it slammed into his hardened skin. The firewall was gone now, but he charged up for a second, stomping on the ground and covering it with glowing cracks that fanned out across the battlefield. When that was done, he charged at Seras, looking to grab her and crush her.

Gwen created a gravity field worth 7 g's directed 45º downward and against Armstrong's path of motion.

EMily raced for ideas on how to tackle this guy. She went ahead and tried to salvage the broken parts that Armstrong broke apart with magnetic tugs.

Emily would be able to salvage the metal.

Gwen's gravtiy tug pulled Armstrong to the ground, short of Seras, though he slowly stood.

The spiderweb cracks on the ground exploded into pillars of flame, one after the other, making getting around the battlefield difficult.

Gwen put her hands in a praying position and kept her eyes close as she levitated anyone nearby. This would be just enough so they could get traction when moving while Gwen could still have enough energy to pull off a 7 g pull on Armstrong directed downwards.

EMily forged together what looked far more like the spiked end of a morning star with longer spikes, roughly 20 cm. She dispatched it with a magnetic tug that would send it careening like a highway vehicle. This would also make it somewhat magnetized like a rare-earth magnet. This spiked magnet would only significantly pull on things if they were ferromagnetic (iron, nickel, cobalt) and they were at most 20-30 cm away.

Joel moved on Armstrong from behind and, if he had an opening, would attempt to stab the senator's heart with the Murasama.

Armstrong hardened himself as Gwen pulled him down, trying to tank out the damage until she ran out of power. Seras' slash did little, but Emily's makeshift morning star slammed into the metal skin of Armstrong like a car into a barricade. He tried to shake off the stun from the heavy blow, but Joel managed to run in and stab at him, the stab breaching the armour and piercing the skin but not reaching the heart. Armstrong charged another blast, this one taking a little longer but the resulting explosion would be much larger and more damaging.

The man finds himself on his back staring at the sky. No conscious memory exists of his fall though he chalks it up to his immense blood loss. He rises to his feet in time to catch the barrage of attacks against Armstrong and resigns himself to the fact that if he can't hurt Armstrong directly he can at least distract him long enough for those who can.

He breaks into a run, covering the distance between him and the senator in remarkable time for someone missing an arm. When he gets close enough to se the whites of Armstrong's eyes he pulls back his left leg and sends it screaming towards Armstrong's crotch.

Joel pulled out the blade and backed off. "Can anyone think of a way to get rid of his fucking armour? I can barely scratch the ****!" Joel yelled to the group.

You look up over the rubble for a moment to see how the fight was progressing. You then sit back down again, dreading what you will have to do once it is over. Glancing over at Samus you ask her if she has ever had to fight a friend.

Samus, a bit less out of it now but still not in fighting shape, sat up, leaning against the rubble. "A few times. It was never easy."

"It's metal. I thought there was something peculiar about that skin." She thought out loud. EMily produced a whopping microwave beam from both her outstretched hands at Armstrong. If it didn't melt the metal skin, it would boil his flesh.

Gwen let go of the pull but put a time-haste field around Joel to increase their reaction time by a factor of two.

You grunt and say that you have been fortunate up until now. With a sigh you come clear, telling your fellow bounty hunter that Seras will soon be an enemy of yours.
