"Well it's not just an ordinary rock, it's a rune. Like the ones on my armor and hammer, but for a different spell." Alain explained to Yeul before he realized that she might have thought he was talking about the rock in his hand. "Oh, not this rock. This is just a normal rock. For now at least."

The aircraft, making its decision, drifted to a landing in front of the ship. It presented its rear to the vessel, where those watching would see a hatch. The engines would deactivate, and the craft would sit, cooling.

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"You're free to help yourself as long as you save stuff for the rest of the people that want to eat. And you make tea, spelled t-e-a, by taking a tea bag." She picked up a green tea bag and a mug. <color=green>"Putting it a mug like so and adding hot water. You let it sit for three minutes to let it cool off and brew and then you have tasty and relaxing tea. Your world doesn't grow tea leaves?" She made a humorously confused expression as she put her hands on her hips.

"So these stones, and your equipment? They are endowed with magic?" Yeul questioned. "I have never heard of anything of the sort. How does this work...?"

Presentsly​

"Comunal meals? This is starting to look less liks a band of temporary companions, and more like a tribe." Caius commented in a matter of factly manner, although the corners of his mouth curled up ever so slightly. When Victoria made her way into the kitchen, Caius cast a glance at her, briefly looking her over, then looking back to Winona.

Yeul, too, looked to Victoria when she entered, although kept her eyes on Victoria a bit longer, looking over her animal features and imediate vissible prosthetics. That was, until she caught herself staring, where she blinked pronouncedly, and looked back to Winona, also.

"I see... What would you say goes well with what?" She asked Winona, picking out a seat and sitting down, resting her hands on her knees.

 

[Knife-28]

The low hum of a ship's engines jolted Knife from his slumber, and he paid no heed to the fact the world was upside down before he attempted to leap to his feet....only to end up in a crumpled heap infront of the bench. Now that, in his eyes, the world had resumed its proper alignment he lept to his feet and rushed outside the warehouse. Luckily what he thought was the ship taking off was intact another one landing.

Knife breathed a sigh of relief and walked back through town to the ship.

<color=green>"Well, pancakes usually go well with a side of meat. If you want there's also milk and fresh fruit in the fridge over there. It's a cold containment."

Joel decided to investigate the smell of cooking, and inform the others of the other ship. [color=003399]"Morning. Some weird ship just showed up outside."[/color] he said.

"The bounties are on the walls." the faceless figure stated, indicating the bounty sheets.

after a delay, the ramp lowered. Exiting the craft was quite the strange sight. 2 humanoids, one pale as death, coated in dried blood, and wearing nothing but boxers, the other an 8 foot tall brute with short trimmed dreadlocks. The giant also had a mask covering his face, waxy skin, and armor secured on a fishnet shirt. he also had a number of cloth bands wrapped around his arms, ranging from faded gray to bright blue.

The near naked man covered in blood approached the craft with ramrod posture, moving mechanically.

<color=purple>"Good god, is that guy okay?" Gwen presented a confused look as she finished her plate and rushed over. <color=purple>"Are you two okay? You're caked in blood?" She distanced herself a few meters away from the two.

<color=green>Please tell me this guy knows what a pancake is. "Good morning Joel! There's breakfast ready for everyone. There's milk and fruit in the fridge. Everything has been restocked." She sat down in one of the kitchen chairs to eat her breakfast with a fork and knife.

 

[Chungus]

"Well... then I would have a 'pancake' with 'bacon', please." Yeul stated, then paused as she thought if she would preffer tea or milk. She settled on milk, not sure if the tea would be any of the flavours she was accustomed to and liked. The thought that the milk would come from a different animal the the ones that produced milk on her home world, but thought the taste would probably vary less then the different tea. "And milk to drink. I do not need much."

When she saw Winona sit down, Yeul cocked her head slightly. "Oh? Am I to get it, myself?" She asked as she stood up. "I had thought that would be impropper to do."

Caius looked to Joel as he entered the kitchen, cocking an eyebrow upon hearing his anouncement. He thought on what it could mean for a moment, then figured that if the craft was hostile, it would've attacked already, and that it wasn't mean it wasn't anything to concern himself with.

"I just got done explaining it to someone else..." Alain complained. "The fast version is that you put some mana in 'em and it makes a spell for you to cast. Much easier than casting the spell yourself."

Presently​

At the site of the giant and the man covered in blood walking out of the ship, Alain silently picked his hammer off of the ground and assumed a combat stance. "Wh- Who are you?" He stammered, a terrified look on his face.

Joel looked at all the food, and specifically looked for things he could eat one-handed. [color=003399]"Wow, did you do all this yourself?"[/color] he asked.

The blood coated man looked to Gwen. "I am looking for Sergeant Victoria. I believe she is traveling with you." his eyes would appear to Gwen to be glazed over, with no animation or indication of creativity. He looked to Alain. "I must speak with Sergeant Victoria first."

The giant looked to Gwen. "I broke him out of a prison. He wanted to come here and talk with you lads. I tagged along to have a giggle."
The giant's voice was heavily modulated, but hinted at an older man speaking.

 

[Drakmorg]

"No, we don't. Any plants like that on the world we got seeds from probably went extinct. Either that or the people that knew how to use them did."

Vicky replied stone-facedly to Winona. She began scarfing down breakfast meats, picking singular strips of bacon and sausages off the piles and eating them in one bite.

"And I heard ya made cake too? Have any more ingredients for that left over?"

She added to Winona in between mouthfuls. She waved over at Joel as she noticed him come in, then seemed to notice Caius and Yeul.

"Oh hey, you guys are new."

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"Oh, my apologies, I can get plates and cups out for you guys so you can go at it like a buffet. I'll get started on your pancake then. Meanwhile you can serve yourself some milk. Don't worry about me, I'll be continuously eating my meal between requests. I just needed to get started on my own breakfast." She chuckled after smiling. She finished up her pancakes on her plate and settled it on a nearby small table. She settled plates and cups on the counter.

<color=green>"Sure did make this all myself. My sister, EMily, may be the queen of lunch and dinner, but I'm the queen of breakfast. I worked as a maid in a manor, you know." She said while making the pancake. In a few moments the pancake was ready and served it on a plate for Yuel.

"Truly? Making use of magic is an easy enough task. So much so that even the less fearsome wildlife can do so." Yeul commented, sounding a little puzzled. "But I assume on your world, this is not so? How tasking is casting a regular spell, and how does it compare to the method you use?" She asked further.

Caius, meanwhile, crossed his arms, and leaned against a wall.

"Yeah, casting spells normally takes great concentration, so much that most mages choose to focus their entire lives on mastering a single spell. I've never even bothered with direct magic like that." Alain explained. "The reason it's so difficult is because to cast a spell, mana must be manipulated into a specific shape by the spellcaster to form a spell. Even the slightest error will result in the spell failing, which usually just means that nothing will happen. But shaping the mana alone isn't enough for a spell, as it then needs to be given direction. Giving direction to a spell: for example, making the 'fire' spell do different things like shoot fireballs compared or warm up a room in the winter, is relatively easy, but the mana must be kept in the shape of the spell the whole time or it will stop."

Alain paused to take a breath, then continued. "Runes are stones that are carved in the exact shape of the spell, so that removes pretty much all of the difficulty of casting spells, as then the spell only needs to be given direction. Use of runes is considered to be amateurs though, because most of the mana is lost in the process of being brought to the physical world to fill the rune for the spell. But I plan on changing some minds about the 'amateurs' part."

"Okay I'll just go find Sergeant Victoria for you bye!" Alain said before he half-ran inside the ship.

"I just thought you guys should know that two...uh, people, are outside looking for someone named Sergeant Victoria." He said, still looking back over his shoulder as if he expected them to chase after and eat him.

[color=003399]"How are you feeling?"[/color] Joel asked Vicky, as he began moving sausages to a plate with a fork. He then sat down and began eating his sausages, holding them with his fork while biting pieces off to make up for his inability to use a knife.
