"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying." Sophia nodded. "Although I already know that Gwen and her sisters like to wear their maid outfits in the future, they have been very quick to point out it isn't the norm for their time, isn't that right Gwen?" Sophia asked as she looked over her shoulder in Gwen's general direction.

Samus would be able to tell that the food they were making seemed to be a single serving, most likely not even enough for the two of them to share, although there might be some soup leftovers.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"The Victorian style was revived roughly 100 years before I was born. The outfits themselves have their origins in Victorian dress as well as dresses in the 1950's. It is, in fact, the norm of the R.E.A.T. as well as the E.A.U.. The outfits that we wore during our duties as maids of the Mason manor, are more closer to their official origins. The ones you see us wear have far more color to them and are modified to suit our interests."

 

[Demonjazz]

"It must not be all that great if you got slashes while inside the armour. I only have one scar and I've been adverturin for a couple years by now.

 

[Chungus]

"In that case; it was something of an odd experience." Yeul answered, resting her hands on her knees. "I have never done it before. I generally found the selection of clothes on offer to be strange. Much were the styles unsees on my homeworld, even in the cities. I would not know how to discribe them, other then... different.

As for the store itself, it made me think of an odd blend of sights one would see in the cities of my homeworld, and the tribal camps. This applies many things I have seen on this world, thus far, actually. But, overall, I liked the experience." She answered.

Caius looked at Samus with a raised eyebrow for a moment, then shook his head. "I do not know what gave you that impression, but I am fine." He stated.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus saw they were just making food for one, and lost interest, not wanting to intrude on anything. She nodded to Caius in understanding, then looked at Eric. "It is strong, but most of the foes I face have armour piercing or energy based attacks."

 

[Demonjazz]

"Oh. You should get a cool shield like mine. It's near indestructible and has cool forcefields."

 

[Zepherus14]

"Really?" Sophia looked back to Gwen, a bit stunned. "Sorry about that, I must have misheard you before." Sophia chuckled awkwardly, her tail still wet enough that it didn't fluff up much at all.

"Well anyways, the important part is that you are having a good time and that the clothing is similar enough to what you're already used to." She said back to Yeul.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Really?" Samus sounded interested.

 

[Chungus]

Yeul gave a more heartily nod in response to Sophia. "I do miss my home, but I can appreciate the oppertunity to experience the new things this world has to offer." She stated, then in a more joking tone, added; "If only there were more flowers."

Caius said nothing further to Samus, looking away from her, back to Yeul.

 

[Zepherus14]

"You like flowers then?" Sophia repeated, before grinning slightly. "Well to each their own, I guess." She said with a small shrug. "As you could probably guess, flowers aren't so interesting to me." She winked. "But at least they smell nice."

 

[Chungus]

"As you said, to each their own. Personally, I like the different shapes and colours. And indeed, the smells are pleasant, also." Yeul responded, a smile that was a bit more pronounced then the half-hearted smiles she usually gave appearing on her face. "I am especially fond of making bouquetes."

 

[Demonjazz]

"Yeah! Try and hit my shield with anything! You won't be able to even scratch the surface of it!"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I wouldn't be so sure." Samus said with a small smirk.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Nah! This thing can take huge missles. I wouldn't be surprised if it could survive a nuclear bomb!"

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"Sophia? Should we take the food to Vicky now?" She asked, putting the bowl of soup on a saucer.

 

[Random berk]

As life in London Bristol went on around the group, something was stirring in Epping Forest Leigh Woods. Deep in the most overgrown copses, far from the wandering eyes of Londoners locals spending their day on the well maintained walking trails, pools of shadow among the trees began to coalesce. Branches swayed in a nonexistent wind, cracking and twisting as they were drawn in to a single point in space. Small rodents and birds in the forest squeaked once in panic and then fell, their miniscule hearts freezing mid-pulse. The darkness in the forest seemed to physically gather into an undulating, dark purple sphere, before suddenly dilating into a wide circular portal.

A moment later, a hulking figure was hurled through the portal, landing hard on its back in the leaf litter. The figure was humanoid, 7 feet tall and incredibly broad across the shoulders, and clad in massive bulky power armour painted in bright yellow. The sigil of a clenched fist was outlined in crimson on its massive pauldrons, and its eye lenses glowed a dull green in the gloom. The figure scrambled to his feet, snatching up a bulky sword edged with a bloodstained chainsaw blade. Glancing around in confusion for a moment, the figure took in the unfamiliar surrounding, before tensing up and whirling back to face the portal.

"Sure thing." Sophia nodded to Gwen as she plated the sandwich and looked to Yeul. "Hopefully we will get the chance for you to show me."

Sophia then followed along with Gwen back to deliver the food to Victoria.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen worked her way towards Victoria, carefully roll-stepping as she walked; a movement pattern she learned during her time as a maid used to avoid shaking of hot and fragile dishes when transporting them to and from places. If one were to notice, Gwen's head level was almost at the same height and almost never bobbed up and down during her travel.

When she arrived towards Victoria's abode, she knocked gently at the entrance.

 

[Random berk]

As the power-armoured warrior turned, he was driven back to one knee by a hail of gunfire erupting from the portal, his armour splintering and sparking as the shells engulfed him in a cluster of fist-sized detonations. A mechanical groan emitted from the grim faceplate of his helmet as he struggled to regain his feet, and his aggressor lumbered from the rift in the air. While the first warrior was large, the new arrival was enormous. Standing at over 8 feet tall, it appeared more like a walking tank than a living creature. Long curving horns sprouted from a helmet nested in a boxy chassis painted in dark crimson with gunmetal trim and flanked by enormous slabs of metal only vaguely reminiscent of the yellow-painted warrior's own pauldrons. One of the figure's stout arms was tipped with five long, bladed claws. The firearm that it had attacked with was mounted behind these blades, the twin barrels still smoking. The other arm ended in a gauntleted human fist, clenched on the handle of a hefty brass skull-headed mace. The soft ground subsided beneath crushing footsteps as the behemoth approached the warrior, who revved the chainsaw blade of his sword with a roar.

[color= brown]"You've come here for nothing, bootlick!"[/color] The giant growled in a voice even deeper and more mechanical than the first. "Our 'brothers' are in no state to seal the rift, and you will not get back to slay my disciples while I still stand!" The wounded warrior drew himself to his full height with grim determination and assumed a guard position.
[color= Orange]"You are no brother of mine, traitor. And if my battle brothers are dead, then I will join them before I abandon my duty!"[/color] With a harsh war-cry, he lunged, roaring chainsword teeth meeting the bladed claws of the giant in a flare of sparks.

 

[FPSfanatic]

Instead of Victoria answering the knock on the door, a man in full military uniform, complete with gasmask and helmet, answered the door. Hans looked to Gwen, and took a breath. The gasmask would amplify the breath, as well as his question. "Is the food for Serg- private first class Victoria?"
