<color=purple>"Yes it is. She needs her strength back." She nodded with confident presentation.

Hans opened the door fully. "Agreed. She will almost certainly need it back, especially if I am to get her properly certified." he stepped out into the hallway, holding the door open for Gwen.

Henry, after some wandering, returned to the ship, looking none the worse for wear. The predator entered the ship, heading towards the kitchen.

Once battle was joined, the two warriors traded blows with a speed and fury that belied both of their weight proportions. The smaller warrior in yellow armour darted from side to side attempting to flank the walking wall of metal that he faced. His chainsword swept out in crude but vicious arcs, striking up a curtain of sparks on his enemy's thick armour plating several times but failing to do more than scar the paint. The more heavily armoured warrior for its part seemed to move with impossible speed and grace, always keeping the smaller warrior in front of it, keeping him at arms length with broad sweeps of the skull-headed mace and parrying most of the chainsword blows with its three-foot long claws. Long streamers of parchment fluttered about its armour as it moved, barely visible in the low light. Though few enough of the yellow-clad warrior's blows got past the giant's guard, it slowly began to give ground, taking slow and purposeful steps back in an effort to avoid being outflanked. The more nimble fighter, sensing the giant's difficulty, pressed the attack with renewed fervour, driving his foe back towards a massive gnarled tree trunk.

Gwen ever so carefully roll-stepped and kneeled down to set the dish by Victoria's bedside.

Sophia would follow Gwen into the laundry room, keeping a good distance just so she didn't accidentally bump into her. "You think that maybe one of us stays here and wakes her up, and another gets shower or something ready for her?" Sophia commented quietly, commenting on the filth Victoria had accumulated on her outing.

<color=purple>"You go ahead and wake her up. I'll prepare the showers." She got up gently and left the room quietly save for the 'click-clack' from the steps of her heels.

As the giant was driven back towards the trees, it threw up its clawed left hand arm again to ward off the unrelenting chainsword blows. Thhe wedged joint at the rearmost part of the massive armour struck the tree and the yellow-clad warrior uttered a roar of triumph, swinging his chainsword in a mighty two-handed stroke intended to tear into the underarm of his foe's armour through brute force and zeal alone.

Then the giant moved.

With a burst of speed that seemed ludicrous for such a mammoth construct, it darted to one side, away from the chainsword which bit deep into the knotted trunk and held fast. The warrior grunted and ripped it loose in a cloud of wooden splinters. The instantaneous delay was to prove fatal however. As he brought the weapon around to pursue his opponent, the giant swept its mace upwards, landing a solid blow against the chainsword's blade that smashed through it as though it were made of glass. Metal teeth flew into the darkness and the yellow warrior snatched for a bulky pistol on his hip with an exclaimed curse. Before his sidearm could clear his holster however, the giant thrust its clawed hand directly into the warrior's torso, four of the five long claws driving through the power armour with no more resistance than paper. Chuckling throatily, it lifted the impaled warrior above its gargantuan shoulders with ease.

Choking on his own blood, the warrior drew his sidearm, aiming it unsteadily down at the great tusked helmet.

"I give... my life gladly." He coughed, finger tightening on the trigger. "For I die... in service of... of the Emp-" His final word was lost as the giant threw him to the ground with enough force to shake leaves from the trees, an explosive bolt screaming off into the forest canopy.

"Come now, little brother." It remonstrated, mechanically augmented voice dripping with contempt. "He cannot hear you." Raising its enormous mace, it brought it down with a dolorous blow, and the yellow helmet disappeared beneath it with a sickening crunch.

Hans nodded, and approached Vicky. He began shaking her, trying not to be rough but probably failing.

"Woah woah woah!" Sophia said in a hushed tone as she slapped Hans' arm, trying to stop him from shaking Vanessa and let go. "What the bloody hell are you trying to do?" She continued to whisper angrily to him.

Raising its mace from the pulped remains of its opponent, the giant lifted it to the dim light, allowing it to reflect on the gore smeared over the weapon. Then it lurched around as the air was rent by a horrendous, disembodied howl, like the wail of a thousand damned souls. The portal through which they had arrived was pulsing spasmodically, losing cohesion and shrinking in the air.

"No." It gasped in frustrated shock. "NOOO!!!" It broke into a desperate, earth-shaking charge for the dying portal, but it was not built for acceleration and moved at what felt like an agonisingly ponderous lope. Moments before it reached the portal, the circle of eldritch light gave one last screech of soul-rending torment wrenched itself apart, drifting back into the shadows from which it had formed. The massive killer ground hopelessly to a halt, staring at the now empty space.

"So... the Imperial Fists still had power enough to slay my congregation... damn them. The Warp take them all!" It roared with sudden terrible fury, lashing out blindly with its mace. The tree trunk which had trapped the chainsword was demolished by that single blow, and came crashing down among its fellows in a shower of broken branches. The giant stood immobile for several minutes after the vibrations of the falling tree dissipated, before finally breaking its torpor and glancing around into the darkness. With a final growl of frustration, it began to walk, lumbering away from the sole patch of colour of the Imperial Fist's corpse.

Joel sheathed the sword again and returned to the ship interior. "I'm surprised it hasn't flooded yet, from all this rain." he said to nobody in particular.

"If you try and shake someone awake like that while their sleeping, you're just asking to be slugged in the face." Sophia quickly replied, giving him a look that said 'come on man, this isn't rocket science'.

"I could perform a radar check on the weather status to see how much we got left." She said to Joel.

"Do you mean you'll check the weather forecast, or can you find out how much rain is in the clouds or something?" Joel asked EMily.

Hans removed his hand quickly, and looked to Sophia. "What should we do then?" he asked, confused as to how one could be woken without being touched.

"Radar will detect reflected radio waves off of water particles in the air. So it will detect rain. I did this for my family a few times to find the incoming weather up to a hundred and sixty kilometers. Radio isn't that hard to produce."

EMily smiled and nodded as she left the ship. She climbed up the top of the ship with magnetic grabs on her feet and hands. She smiled and sighed from excitement as she got on the roof. She summoned Photon and pointed it into the sky at a 45º angle. She glowed brighter and brighter as energy was built up. Soon enough, with Photon in her hands, she was sending out radio waves with the standard power of a radar tower. She spun around and around with her feet pointing down like a twirling ballet dancer. Her eyes were closed as she focused on sending out the radio.

"Just let me do it." She said as she called Victoria's name and prodding her lightly. Shortly after Victoria would wake up, at which point Sophia offered her the food. Once she was done eating what she felt like, Victoria would wake up while Sophia switched out the quilt for her. Eventually Victoria would be back to sleeping on the fresh quilt, and hopefully getting a better sleep because of it.

"I guess you were already in here before, but would you like to come out for a bit and let her sleep more?" Sophia asked Hans quietly once it seemed Victoria was back to sleep.
