The whispers of the Warp are all but silent. The lust and depravity in this planet's scent tastes of mankind, but it is different. More indolent. More... savory.
The armoured giant stepped cautiously into the street, towards the buildings across from the woodland reserve.
"But what does it mean? This is not a place that should have been on the other side of the portal. It feels like realspace."
Yes... the people here know nothing of war and death. They merely play little games, oblivious to what waits in the stars that they can only gaze up at with avarice. There was a time when humans were so soft and innocent Many millennia in the past...
"Millenia... you cannot possibly mean..."
As the behemoth held still, listening intently to the absolute silence, a cheerful babble broke his concentration and he glanced to one side as a small cluster of tipsy college students danced around the corner, laughing and cajoling one another. They fell into an abrupt silence when they caught sight of the massive warrior, before fear overcame their shock and they hurriedly crossed to street to flee, the more sober among them herding their inebriated friends as their laughter was replaced by panicked cries and sobs of fear and confusion. The hulk watched them go, and when he spoke again it was with dark relish.
"Soft and indolent... indeed, I see. Perhaps, as I am stuck here, I should play my hand slowly, and try to let them see my more generous side. If they are willing to reach out to me, perhaps I can bring something of the stars to them."
