We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

[Slenn]

"Excellent. This'll be a piece of cake." EMily went off to man the guns and figure out their electronics with Photon.

<color=purple>"I can maintain it as long as I can concentrate. Although I cannot channel it forever so I'll need some extra energy if I'm to match the speed of the ships."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I can stay in the air as long as my suit holds out. I'll need a safety net if it gets damaged though. Do you have a radio?" Samus asked Gwen.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"My computer can be used as a radio. I can obtain energy as well, so the drain shouldn't be too bad as long as we share from each other."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Don't worry. It's gonna be alright."

Victoria said to Sophia calmly. She turned her attention over to Dave and asked,

"Where would be the safest part of this place at a time like this?"

 

[Outisakanobody]

Since Seras and Faro didn't have a means to fly, they decided to stick with Sophie.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus nodded in thanks to Gwen.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Probably the bathroom. Less likely to hit your head on anything. Not a likely thing to get hit. I really don't know anymore tell you the truth. I think that engineer guy somehow ended up lost in this ship and just kept building on too this place."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Thanks metal guy."

Vicky said to Dave. With that, she led Sophia over into the bathroom.

 

[Outisakanobody]

Seras and Faro followed Vicky and Sophia, but didn't go into the bathroom, thinking it would be too cramped. They waited outside instead.

 

[Zepherus14]

Sophia followed along with Victoria, ducking into the bathroom as she opened the door. "Do we know how many are coming?" Sophia asked, looking back to Victoria once she entered.

 

[Drakmorg]

"You two keep an eye on things out here. No idea what these bastards are capable of, so I'll keep an eye on Sophia from in here."

Victoria relayed to Seras and Faro before entering the bathroom.

"I don't think I heard anyone mention any numbers, so don't know."

She answered Sophia.

"But don't worry, I've killed dozens of people like them before, so there's no way they're gonna get you, alright?"

She added, sounding confidant.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"Then I'll go look for the breathing mask and apparatus. Since I can't strain energy too much, I can't focus on wind resistance and acceleration. So I want to save as much energy as possible for traveling through fast winds."

<color=brown>"So that just leaves us then. Do we know if these knights might try to board the ship? Winona and I aren't exactly the gifted ones when it comes to flight. But we're quite skilled in hand to hand combat."

OOC: I thought we were in the upper atmosphere, not necessarily outer space.

 

[Zepherus14]

"A-alright." Sophia's eyes trailing downwards somewhat. "I-I believe you." She added, keeping her hands close to her, and her tail already getting fluffy. She then went to sit on the toilet with the cover down, ringing her fingers through her hair with her head tilted downwards.

OoC: Ya We'd be in something like upper atmosphere/medium atmosphere, definitely not space.

 

[Kirke]

You finish putting your suit on, breathing in and out slowly to calm yourself. As you step into the airlock, you wonder to yourself what exactly you are doing. Still, with the magnetic boots and jetpack, you should be relatively safe. It doesn't do much to assuage your racing heart as you think about how far down the ground is.

The two interceptors, noting that the knights were not backing off, fired one missile each at the main chariot before breaking off. At the same time, the two other interceptors turn to face the incoming foes, they too locking on.

OoC: Probably medium atmosphere, not quite as far up as airplanes regularly fly.

 

[Zepherus14]

As the missiles were fired, so too did the pool of mana the four knights in the chariot had accumulated. The ball of light crackled and split apart as dozens of what appeared to be hawks of light flew forth from it. Luckily for the pilots the knights had come from the west, so the sun wasn't in their eyes allowing them to see the shining birds in advance, but they would also note they were chasing the two interceptors that had fired the missiles.

The birds that headed for the missile would impact it, causing the two to detonate prior to hitting their target. Any remaining light hawks that had flown towards the missiles but hadn't been detonated, flew to the lone knights on horseback reincorporating themselves back into their glowing armour.

 

[Kirke]

You cycle through the airlock, holding onto a handhold to counter the heavy winds. As you climb out, you are grateful that your jetback helps counteract the winds, as you could not stay upright without them. Even so, as you struggle to a position on the wing closest to Dave's ship you are nearly doubled over. You sit down beside the engine, cautious not go too close to the incredibly bright flame jutting out the back of it. Drawing your blaster, you wait for the knights to come closer.

The two interceptors that were now themselves under attack flew away from the scene, trying to outrun the birds. However, at the same time, the next pair of interceptors fired their missiles, and also let loose a short burst of gatling gun fire before breaking off.

 

[Slenn]

EMily had prepared the guns with Photon. The tool itself was still being handled by EMily, but it was now attached to the computer ports on the gun. Now that a quantum computer was attached to it, its electronic efficiency would be maximized, and cooldown times would be minimized.

Gwen came back to Samus after she had acquired a face mask and air tank. It was strapped to her back. <color=purple>"I'm ready to go whenever you are. Let's hurry up." She turned to Dave. <color=purple>"Dave, could you open the airlock for us please?"

OOC: My post for now. I'm going to be debugging some stuff today.

 

[Zepherus14]

The birds themselves were swift but not fast enough to catch up with the interceptors, slowly lagging behind the jets as they tried to outrun them. If the interceptor tried to turn to return to the fight however it would witness the birds were far more maneuverable. Darting through the sky as they continued their chase, the fighters would have to deal with the birds before trying to reengage.

As the two new ships approached, the two lone knights fell in front of the chariot close to each other, bringing up their shields as a barrier of light and fire swelled in front of them, the glow from the birds disappearing as they did this. The missile fire and most of the gattling gun fire had been blocked. Some of the bullets did get through, one such bullet impacting one of the lone knights legs, temporarily causing the horse he was riding to vanish as he fell down.

Their shields however were glowing excessively bright from the action, and once the two lone riders were on horse back once again, they sped off to deal with the latest interceptors.

The two knights that hadn't summoned the birds readied a bow each, they were still a ways off from Dave's ship but EMily would probably be able to start firing on them soon.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus nodded to Gwen, then headed for the hatch, standing near the large door and waiting for it to open. "Ready."

 

[Kirke]

The interceptors stayed away, although the first pair did a couple attempts to veer around, they quickly aborted them. The Skyranger changed position, placing itself twenty metres above Dave's ship. Inside, the soldiers yank at the cables holding them to the craft to make sure that they will not break. They all look very doubtful, but considering the interceptors have been driven away, there is not much else they can do.
