"That would be an agreeable solution, but is has a flaw, and a term we couldn't agree to." Elm responded. "The flaw is that our means of detecting dimensional anomalies can detect points of entry and/or exit with a high degree of accuracy, but not movement after instances like that. Which is why we have ussage of native inteligence networks in our terms." It explained, then briefly paused. "The term we have a problem with in your suggestion follows as such; My ascociate and I are the ones designated to operate on this planet, and we're speciffically meant to operate together."

"That's a thing. But I'm wondering just who'll be calling the shots if this agreement flies." Sam chimed in, turning towards the representative, his tone notieably bored.

Steve walked out of the ship, apparently perfectly calm again after the encounter with Detective Stone. Scanning the beach, he spotted Sara and approached her.

"Hey, sorry for walking off on you back there." He said with a gesture back towards the ship. "That was turning nasty fast."

"I always have enjoyed such stories." Joanna said to Faro encouragingly.

"Oh, and I think it looks...nice." Seras added with a smile. "You must like the color blue." she after a small pause.

"Well...I was a mercenary, and then this woman came along...She's the one who turned me into a, well, what I am now." Faro started to explain, wondering how many details were really needed or wanted.

"It's still a bit sore."
Vicky replied to Joel. She finished her stretching and let her arms relax down to her sides.

Joanna looked somewhat confused by this especially brief version of the story. She opened her mouth as if to ask a question, paused as though rethinking that question, and finally just shook her head and shrugged helplessly. Clearly she didn't find herself any better informed that she had been to begin with.

In one of the rare moments that Sara was out of her dress, her physique would become apparent. It was almost that of an Olympic runner or javelin thrower. Some of her muscles were well built, especially her abdominals that were slightly showing through the one-piece.
<color=brown>"No. It's quite alright. There are things out there that can strike a nerve with us one way or the other. Depending on our past."

"If only entry and exit points are trackable, then quick movement on the planet would be vital. I believe a trustworthy candidate is available, one that our own intelligence network already keeps a close eye on." He paused, looking with calculating eyes on both Elm and Sam, then continued, "The two of you would be transported on Earth by this candidate, who would also serve as our observer. Otherwise, your operation would be unchanged aside from where you deposit the collected objects. Mission control would stay in your hands, but the entire operation would be the subject of regular review, to make sure the principles the UN is grounded on."

"So...do you swim often?" Seras asked Samus, wanting to continue the conversation.

Faro looked at Joanna silently, shifting awkwardly and messing with the zipper on his hoodie.

Steve's expression changed almost imperceptibly for a moment as Sara turned to face him, impressed at her physical condition. He remembered what she had said the previous night and wondered if that was down to artificial enhancement or simply diligent exercise and training. He shrugged as he reached her.

"Nothing in particular. I just don't like bullies, and Stone was way out of line."

After a few moments, Joanna broke the silence.
"Is it something that you are not comfortable with talking about?" She asked softly, before showing him a wry smile. "Or are you just not very good at telling stories?"

Once Sophia was done with the sun screen, she walked over to Winona to give it back to her. "Thanks for letting me use this, I really appreciate it." Sophia gave her a nervous smile. As Winona had already commented, Sophia was a fairly fair skinned woman, which was fair to say that her fate wouldn't fared well if she hadn't gotten some of the sunscreen on.[footnote]fair[/footnote]

Seras laughed, assuming Samus was joking.

"Uh, er, yeah...this isn't my first language after all..." Faro said, hiding behind an excuse that didn't really explain anything, but Joanna would be hard pressed to know that at this point, considering how glib Faro had been thus far.
