[color=006d5b]"Oz is kinda infamous for all the stuff that'll try to kill you."[/color] Matilda replied, a little too proudly given the subject. [color=006d5b]"Like the big spiders, and dive-bombing magpies, and worst of all, the drop-bears."[/color]
"Drop-bears?" Sophia repeated again, hesitating a little. "What are those? Moreover, why would you live in a place where everything wants to kill you? That can't be good for you."
[color=006d5b]"They're bears that drop out of the trees on your head, and eat you alive."[/color] Matilda explained. After taking some time to seriously consider Sophia's second question, Matilda replied, [color=006d5b]"We're used to it, I guess."[/color]
"Can't help you there I'm afraid... " Kenna remarked, thinking. "Joel has a sword, maybe you two can spar?"
"Yeah, I thought this would be a place to train, like, sparring and stuff. But I don't think I need strength training so much..." Alain complained, tired of just awkwardly sitting there while Húriel talked with the others.
[color=003366]"Well, Kenna and I are going to spar. You can join us too, if you'd like."[/color] Joel said to Alain. [color=003366]"And strength training couldn't hurt."[/color]
"Why would I need strength when I can just make my hammer lighter with magic?" Alain asked. "But yeah, I guess I'll spar with you."
[color=003366]"You won't always have your hammer."[/color] Joel pointed out. He then looked at Kenna and Huriel, and said, [color=003366]"I'd be up for that."[/color]
"I'm pretty sure I will always have it. What good is a hero without his legendary weapon?" Alain replied, spinning the hammer around a few times. "So how are we supposed to do this without killing each other?"
[color=003366]"A hero can still be good without his legendary weapon, if he can throw a punch. As for how we don't kill each other, we just don't go all-out."[/color] Joel said to Alain, before looking at Húriel. [color=003366]"I mostly practice back at our ship, but I think there are places like this, where you can practice swordfighting and archery. No idea how common they are, though."[/color]
[color=003366]"Well, my sword is back at the ship. Though, maybe we should do some hand-to-hand stuff first, just so we can be sure you can take a hit from my automail."[/color] Joel said, rapping his knuckles against his metal arm with a slightly clanking sound.
Joel looked at Kenna and asked, [color=003366]"You probably know more about that stuff than I do. Have you seen anywhere for us to spar?"[/color]
Sophia gave Matilda much the same 'your kidding' face she'd just given Winona about the giant spiders. "What the hell is trouble with Earth! Giant spiders and now bears that sit in trees to eat people!? Seriously, did you two cook these stories up or something while I was getting my bag?" She exclaimed, feeling like this was just getting too silly for its own good in many ways.
"Not with weapons, but I can help find a place if you want. If nothing else, probably a back alley or forest clearing with enough room.
