"There's metal particles in the atmosphere. It's scattering my sense of EM fields."

"There's metal in the what?" Sophia looked back at EMily. "That's bad right? Metal shouldn't be just floating around like this." Sophia let out a nervous chuckle, reaching into her bag as she pulled out a piece of cloth which she put to her face.

Tavish did as he was told, using the small bit of overheal to sticky jump on top of one of the pillars.

Roland listened closely, trying to find the source of the ringing noise.

 

[Outisakanobody]

[X-9 suddenly falls to the ground with a heavy thud and a metallic "clank", his red eyes very dim if anyone looked.]

[color=003399]"Hey, the whole 'WE'RE MASSIVE FUCKING BITCHES' thing is really getting old!"[/color] Joel yelled, his temperature rising once more. Seeing the other electronics fail, Riko played a few chords on her bass. Finding it worked normally, she sighed with relief. Then, she took a scarf out of one of her pockets and wrapped it around her lower face.

 

[Slenn]

"It's usually used to block radio scanners." EMily said to Sophia. "Cover your mouth with your clothing."

<color=purple>"I can still feel the masses around me just fine."

 

[Zepherus14]

"I thought it'd be like smoke." Sophia replied back, sounding a bit muffled. "Looks like I had the right idea then." She added.

When X9 fell over with a thud, Sophia looked back to him, not understanding what had happened. "What happened to him?!" She said as she ran over, still holding the cloth to her face.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

There was nothing for a while, until a voice spoke.

[color=grey] "Greetings  soldiers." [/color]

It was robotic, and seemed to come from every direction at once.

 

[Slenn]

"I'm no soldier. I'm a scientist." She said, her hands behind her back. She waited patiently for something to come out.

<color=purple>"Same here."

Roland used his right hand to tie a bandanna over his face to protect from the metal in the air. When the voice spoke, he quickly drew his gun and looked around before speaking. "[color=01A9DB]Show yourself, robot![/color]"

Tavish pulled out his grenade launcher and looked around from the top of the pillar.

 

[Zepherus14]

"What did you do?!" Sophia raised her voice as she stood up from X9, getting no response out of him, and not understanding it was the dust causing it.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

There was nothing for a moment, until a chainsaw came into view, cutting through the pillar Tavish was standing on and making it fall on Emily and Gwen.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen could still feel the masses moving around her.
<color=purple>"EMily, get out of the way!" She screamed. Gwen grabbed EMily's arm and sprinted out of the way of the pillar falling.

 

[Wackymon]

Medic watched as it fell.
"Vhell. Zhat is not good." he said.

Engineer nodded, now left with only his pistol.

The sectoid stared around, and tried to see if there was anything Psionic going on.

Tavish was knocked unconscious and was probably seriously injured after landing on his face when the pillar fell.

Roland held his fire, and instead waited for a better shot at the cloaked robot.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Eventually, the robot uncloaked, standing on top of one of the pillars. It was the wolf robot from Damascus, chainsaw mounted on a holster on its back.

[color=grey] "I am IF Prototype LQ-84i." [/color]

It proclaimed.

OoC: Mind holding fire for a sec? It's a Metal Gear boss, it has to talk for a bit.

Sophia having been looking the other way at the time turned around as she heard the rev of the chainsaw, and was alarmed to see the pillar fall, albeit relieved that Gwen wasn't going to be smooshed. Seeing Tavish fall on his head however was another thing entirely, Sophia quickly looked over to Medic. "Aren't you going to heal-?" Sophia started to say before the robot wolf started speaking. "[small]him...[/small]" She managed to peep out.

Jona began redirecting his stream of fire towards the bug, however he was unable to block the liquid sprayed at his face. Jona cried out in pain, then began laughing. [color=ce2029]"Good shot!"[/color] he shouted at the bug, as the stream of fire receded to his hands. Jona used the front of his shirt to wipe the liquid from his face.

[color=003399]"Get down here so I can kill you, you stupid metal dick!"[/color] Joel yelled.

 

[Slenn]

EMily and Gwen looked up at the robot.

"What is it that you'd like to say to us?" She said to it.

<color=purple>And I thought I had anger issues when I was younger. She thought in response to Joel's outburst.

 

[Chungus]

Having flown over Jona after spraying the irradiated liquid at him, the bug couldn't imediately follow up with another attack as Jona began drying off his face. It considdered turning and flying towards Jona, but decided against it, figuring the chances of Jona generating another wall of flame by the time the bug would reach him were too high. Instead, the bug tilted its wings forward slightly to slow down and began descending, flying two blocks away from the rooftop Jona stood on.

Lacking any ranged attacks that could do real damage without its guns, the bug opted to take a hit-and-run approach.
