EMily made a sigh.
"I suppose so. We have Shara back. Now all we need to do is to help her recover."

<color=purple>"It would sure be great to have her fighting again."

"If this thing is radioactive, then we should get out of here now."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Hell no, you are [b]not[/b] bringing that thing with us!"

Vicky protests to Medic's desire to keep the bug's body being fueled by Samus' statement that it was radioactive. She hustled away from the scene, and would leave the building if there wasn't anything to stop her.

 

[Wackymon]

Medic stared, and sighed, "I swear, ze things I do to keep alive..." he groaned.

 

[Slenn]

Although EMily and Gwen were substantially resistant to radiation, they started to move out of the room and out of the hospital.
"Let's keep going, we still have work to do."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus also left the room hastily. Even with her shielded suit, she would feel more comfortable away from that thing. Samus and Vicky would pass by a few figures in HAZMAT suits, one quickly scanning them with a Geiger counter.

 

[Chungus]

Scanning the room with the Geiger counters, the cleanup team would find the counters buzzing a lot, with the highest reading, naturally, occuring near the bug's corpse, where the readout was corresponding to what one would expect with materials that are just above the X-ray range.

 

[Drakmorg]

Vicky herself wasn't particularly radioactive, so assuming the HAZMAT folks would let her pass, she would head back to the space-ship.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

The HAZMAT folks let Vicky and Samus out without comment.

 

[Slenn]

EMily continued thinking.
"The geiger counters were going off against that creature. And I was picking up EM radiation in the form of light gamma rays from the bug. It must've been subsisting off of the radiation. Either that or it was a benign part of its bodily functions."

<color=purple>"Well, it's too much of a hazard even when it's dead anyway. Besides, we got our own non-human intelligences to worry about back at our own home."

 

[Drakmorg]

When Vicky made it back to Dace's space-ship, she laid Shara down on the softest thing she could find, then sat down on the ground with a groan. She ran her right hand through her singed hair a few times before falling down on her and completely lying down.

"Damn, I haven't been this tired in ages."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus had followed Vicky back to the ship, and stood near her as she collapsed, keeping an eye on her and Shara. "Are you well?"

Joel, who had reached the ship before Vicky and Samus, was already there. He was still topless, having removed his left arm and started cleaning it.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Are you all sure she should be out of the hospital? This lady still looks pretty ruffed up." I say as people stagger back into the ship with an unconscious woman. Shara, I guess.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus looked at X-9, deactivating her armour. "She'll be fine. The Medic can help her recover, probably better than that hospital can." She looked at Joel fiddling with his arm. "Need help with that?"

 

[Drakmorg]

Vicky shut her right eye and looked up at Samus with her metal one, scratching the new burn scars on her face as she replied,

"I'm fine. Just worn out is all."

She waved her left arm in X-9's general direction and said,

"Well she got attacked by some crazy, giant firebug back there, so she's probably better off being safer here."

 

[Slenn]

The sisters continued to look over Shara, fascinated by her tenacity to survive as long as she did.

"You got burned. You should get that healed." Samuus commented, sounding concerned.

"Maybe. I'm surprised you all put her life in his hands. I got the impression you didn't' like that medic guy."

[color=003399]"He's a fucking madman, but that healing gun thing of his works wonders."[/color] Joel replied, before blowing sand out of his left arm's elbow.

 

[Drakmorg]

Vicky's right hand froze as she heard Samus' comment, then dropped back to her side.

"It already [i]is[/i] healed. Fixed it myself."

She was about to speak up again to X-9, but ended up simply pointing at Joel with her thumb and adding,

"What he said."
