Although Shara was trying, it would take a lot more than a single pep talk to boost Sophia spirits any noticeable amount. Regardless, her efforts weren't unnoticed as Sophia looked to Shara's hand around her and then to Shara herself. "[small]I-I don't really drink, but t-thanks.[/small]" She replied meekly, still looking quite melancholic. "W-Why are you here? I thought were going elsewhere?" She eventually asked, not sounding bitter about just surprised.

The odour even with Sophia's unstable demeanor wasn't very potent. Shara would be able to smell that it was chocolate, but no where near as pungent as it had been last night.

 

[Kirke]

You say that you've been travelling the planet for a while, doing a few small jobs to earn some money. Most recently, you were employed as a transport pilot. Lowering your voice, you say that you work for a military organization called XCOM, which was created due to the extradimensional activity. You say that the broadcast a day or so ago caused quite a stir there, and it was decided you should make sure Sophia was safe and sound while a team of soldiers went after the knights. You add though, that you'd have come regardless of what XCOM told you to do. The odour in the air, which you can't quite place, is annoying you. But for the moment you ignore it, with more important things to worry about.

Alain backed up against the wall as Silence confronted him. He slowly reached for his hammer only to remember that he left it behind the crates in the cargo bay, then chuckled nervously at Silence. "Well, it wasn't a complete lie, so it's not that bad, right?"

Sophia listened to what Shara had to say, her eyes widening a little as Shara mentioned how there were soldiers already after the knights, her mouth slightly open like she wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. Hearing Shara's last comment at the end was just enough, even for a moments time, to get a smile on Sophia face. It was small, but grateful someone she'd only met a few weeks ago would takes such lengths for her. She then brought her hand up to hold onto Shara's arm, holding it close to her, thinking maybe things might just work out. "Thank you." She finally said after a while. "That, really means a lot to me."

Her head then tilted down again like she was thinking, before looking up to Shara again. "H...How much did you hear of all that..?" She eventually asked.

"How do these artificial vocal chords function?" Yeul asked Victoria, her eyes moving over Victoria's scarred throat more. "Do they react to air passing through the throat, to thoughts? Both, perhaps?" While her usual neutral expression showed signs of interest, Yeul spoke carefully, not wanting to upset Victoria, even when she showed little emotion when retelling what happened.

Presently:​

"Silence" saw Alain preform a motion that seemed like reaching for a weapon, but didn't move to stop him, as Alain was only reaching for empty space. They stared Alain down for a moment longer, then took a step back, feeling they had intimidated Alain enough, now. That, and Alain's talking made it more difficult to record the things Shara and Sophia were saying to one another.

Walking down the hallway, Caius found Yeul as she just moved out of the kitchen with the plant in hand. He wasn't very pleased by how long she had been gone, but as there wasn't any reason to worry, decided not to say anything on the matter.

"You are free to keep Sophia company as you please." He informed her. "Just be mindful to distance yourself from her if you start to feel dizzy."

Yeul nodded in response, giving Caius a faint smile. "I will. Thank you."
Reaching Sophia's door, Yeul glanced to Alain and "Silence" standing outside, but didn't pay them much mind. Approaching the door, Yeul held the plate with one hand, lightly knocking on the door with her freed hand.

Sophia's head perked up a little as she heard the door knock, before glancing to Shara to exchange a glance. "Y-You can come in. The door should be open." She answered Yeul, not knowing who was behind the door.

 

[Kirke]

You say that you haven't really heard more than the broadcast, and ask if she wants to talk about it.

 

[Chungus]

With it conforned she was alowed to come in, Yeul open the door and stepped inside. "I have brought you the food." She stated as she approached Sophia, noticeably less on edge then before. "Although I am not certain it is something you can eat." Reaching Sophia, Yeul held out the plate with the two slices of honeyed toast on it.

Caius waited outside the room as Yeul entered.

Sophia watched as Yeul opened up the door, and at first thought she might just set the plate in and leave. When she instead went up to Sophia to offer the toast, not looking so adverse to be near her, Sophia was a bit more relieved. "It's better than what I have now, so don't worry." Sophia replied, reaching a hand out the take the plate from Yeul. Although the honey was a bit sweet for Sophia's normal palette, she didn't complain as she nibbled on the toast, her appetite not quite with her this morning.

"A-although I'd much rather leave all this behind... it would probably help you to know what's going on." Sophia said as she looked over to Shara, a look of reluctance on her face. "Y-you can listen if you want too Yeul, although I don't want Caius to worry about you." She added, glancing up to the doorway.

 

[Kirke]

You nod to Sophia, then stand up to greet Yeul. You introduce yourself as Shara, Captain of the Sworder.

 

[Chungus]

"Hello. I am Yeul." Yeul greeted Shara in turn, bowing her head to Shara. She wanted to ask how Shara knew Sophia, as she figured the two couldn't be strangers to one another, but decided to wait until later to do so.

When Sophia spoke, mentioning speaking the details on what happened, Yeul looked towards her. "I would like to hear." She stated, wanting to know the speciffics of the situation, herself. "And do not worry, I have been allowed the choice of wherther or not to stay with you."

Caius looked to his left, to the door opening, as mention of his name was made, but didn't speak, not seeing a reason to do so.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Alright." Sophia nodded, seeming a little absent minded for a time before taking a deep breath. "The knights are after me because of the bloodline I apparently have, and it being connected with a large war that happened about 100 years ago back in my home universe. Because I have chocolate magic, that means I'm as good as cursed to them." She stated simply, not entirely sure what to talk about specifically to the two.

 

[Chungus]

"So, it is just as Victoria and Joel thought, then." Yeul mused aloud after Sophia finished speaking. "But what is this 'chocolate magic'? The smell you exude is part of it?"

 

[Zepherus14]

"It's a bit like regular mana... but with some, added effects..." Sophia answered as she rubbed her arm. "The smell as far as I understand is because of the mana I have in me... I've never smelled it myself, but it always seems to come when I get anxious or distressed. I probably don't smell much now because I panicked so badly last night, and probably used most of my reserves-" She paused as she yawned. "Ya that's probably it."

"W-what did they say about me?" Sophia asked finally about Victoria's and Joel's comments.

 

[Kirke]

You internally snap your fingers when Sophia mentions chocolate, finally able to connect the vaguely familiar smell. You are surprised to learn it is emitted by Sophia, but you do not say anything.

 

[Chungus]

Listening to Sophia's explaination, Yeul cocked her head in mild confusion. She had no idea what 'mana' was, or how a person being in a negative disposition would affect it, but decided not to ask. "Nothing negative." Yeul answered Sophia's question. "They--with small variations in how they got to this conclusion--thought that these warriors, these knights search for you because they have an aversion against your kind, rather then a more personal vendetta."

Although the food seemed to be helping her, Yeul would notice that Sophia was still looking out of it. Her response time was sluggish, and her eyes looked a bit heavy. "It's... the magic aspect that has them after me, nothing else, but..." Sophia said as she paused again for a yawn. "I-I'm just feel exhausted, can I talk later?" She asked Yeul and Shara.

 

[Chungus]

"Of course." Yeul responded with a nod, giving Sophia a small smile. "Rest well." With that said, Yeul turned around and left Sophia's room.

"If you are finished speaking to her, then let us make for the bounty store." Caius said to Yeul after she left the room.

Yeul looked up to Caius, a little suprised. "I thought you believed her innocent?"

"I have little reason to doubt it, no. However, I would still wish for more information on the matter." Caius responded, begining to make his way to the exit of the ship. "And possibly, exploring this may lead us to the knights so that they may be questioned."

Yeul responded with a soft hmm, and followed after Caius.

With Sophia mentioning she would be resting, "Silence" stopped their audio recording. They had gathered a fair amount of information now, and sa fit to relay their findings to those above them. They moved after Caius and Yeul, to the exit of the ship.

"The way they explained it to me was that the replacement lets me vocalize my thoughts. I just think wanting to say something, and it makes sounds to communicate that thought. It was actually kinda awkward getting used to it at first, I kept saying everything I was thinking out loud."

Vicky explained to Yeul, having a slight chuckle at herself. She scratched at the back of her head as she went on to say,

"Technically I just have to hold my mouth open to make it audible, but I figure that would probably freak people out, so I make the movements like I'm speaking anyway."

Samus noticed the group heading out of Sophia's room, and followed them outside. When out, she noticed Victoria standing nearby, and went over to her. "Hello. Are you well?"
