We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

Seras, Faro, and Sniper all walked out of the ship. Sniper told his mother to wait inside.

Sniper started walking away so he could have some distance between himself and whatever came out of the carrier, while Seras and Faro prepared their close range weapons.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"If you're trying to buy us out because of greed and money, you can forget it. You're wasting your time."

<color=purple>"There's four more carriers coming from the other side of the base. I can feel it." She whispered to her sisters.

 

[username sucks]

"I have files on ALL of you, you idiot! Were you even listening to me just now?" Grey responded to Joel.

"Oh? If money won't convince you, maybe the moral approach will work. What makes you so sure that the Administrator will be better than I? I doubt that you've even done any research on the people you're working for. If you had, you would not have been so eager to join them."

 

[Zepherus14]

Sophia had for the moment stayed in the base, watching the carrier from a window. With the carrier out front not moving, she was a little bit confused why she was still hearing a faint hum from behind her. At first she thought it was just the building's AC and such, but as it started to grow more noticeable, she started to clue in as to what it was. "Uhoh." She said as she got a bad feeling about this.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"You invaded civilian territory out of your own greed. That sounds like questionable behavior to me. What kind of morals are those?"

<color=green>"Also you made robot copies of these guys. That sounds like you wanted to wipe the original humans out."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

[color=003399]"Maybe we'll kill these guys, too, if they're so bad."[/color] Joel replied. [color=003399]"This isn't a black and white choice where we're either with them, or with you."[/color]

"I will be the first to admit that I am not some beacon of goodness, but maybe you should look into the people you work with now. I think you will find that I am the lesser evil of the two." Grey said.

The carriers on the other side of the base came to a stop, but only one of them opened. No robots appeared to leave it as it did.

 

[Slenn]

"Heavy didn't want to kill us on the spot when we first met him. Demoman didn't want to kill us when we first met him. And Miss Pauling didn't want to kill us when we first met her. They may not be completely sane, but compared to you, they're angels."

<color=brown>"Now you're trying to gamble on the ambiguity between you and the Administrator. You haven't demonstrated anything to sway our vision of you, other than your previous invasion. So what do you do with that Australium that's so important?"

 

[Zepherus14]

As Sophia heard the low rumble of the other four carriers stop, she made the golfball sized chocolate orb condense onto her finger. She then brought it up to one of her ears and cupped it much like a human would try to cup their ears with their hands to listen better. Shortly after that, a small amount of brown mist developed around Sophia's ear, her listening becoming far more acute as she listened to hear if there was anything coming from that direction.

"I thought that Pauling would have told you what I did with the Australium by now. I fuels my life extension machine. I haven't been able to stay alive for 192 years by my natural vitality alone. Anyway, Pauling didn't want to kill you because she believed she could manipulate you, which she has done quite well."

Sophia would be able to hear some metallic footsteps in the air vents above her.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"Ah yes, that. She did mention that. But why do you wish to stay alive that long? Isn't 72 years of average life expectancy enough? And if Pauling has done something of ill intention, it is within our power to shut both of you down. Don't think that we're easy."

 

[Chungus]

Hearing the footsteps above her, Sophia, fairly slowly, tilted her head up, looking at the vent above. Her hearing good enough to pick up on the noises without enhancements, she had the chocolate layer move away from her ear, and reform into a ball in the palm of her hand.

Taking a few steps back while keeping her eyes up, Sophia pulled the arm in which she held the mana ball away, holding a pose similar to a pitcher. She did nothing further, waiting to see what would happen next, a little anxiously.

The sound of the footsteps would go down the vent into a nearby hallway, and Sophia would be able to see what appeared to be EMily turning the corner, running straight at her.[hr]
"You'll find that I am not so easy, either. I have more forces at my disposal than you can even imagine. And while it is a shame that you will not join me, this conversation was still beneficial. For me, at least. It's funny how easy it was to distract you while I surrounded the base. Robots: initiate Assault Protocol." Grey said. At his command, all carriers began to open their doors, and the machinery inside began to build robots. The closest carrier was in the process of building Pyro-bots.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus fired a missile into the inner workings of the carrier as she saw it begin to move, while Kenna shifted her arms and grit her now sharpened teeth.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

Joel raised the Baby Face's Blaster and prepared to shoot any robots that came out of the ship. Matilda, meanwhile, drew her pistol and began focusing on enchanting the bullets.

 

[Slenn]

The sisters powered up, now glowing faintly.

<color=purple>"Yeah, whatever. I can at least do this:" Gwen closed her eyes and raised Graviton into the air. It projected a giant 2D hologram as to where every one of his carriers were. All of the spawn locales were exposed.

<color=brown>"We should split our forces."

 

[Outisakanobody]

Seras told Faro to help keep the robots at bay while she went back to the ship for some heavy fire power. Faro knelt down and took out his AWPer Hand, waiting for any robots to come out.

Sniper was not prone a few hundred feet away and prepared to shoot any robots he saw.

 

[Chungus]

Continuing the listening to the noise moving down the air vent, Sophia picked up one what sounded like a ventilation grate opening, and something climbing or dropping out. This was the first clue in she had that the EMily copycat wasn't the real deal. The second was that the copycat did not smell like EMily.

Thinking quickly, Sophia extended the arm in which she held she mana orb, and blew a reasonably strong wind at the copycat, taking on the form of a twist, brown funnel. The wind wouldn't be powerful enough to blow a person of average weight off their feet, but enough to make them stumble, and possible drop due to poor footing.

While she blasted the copycat with the chocolate wind, she began moving backwards, aware of the fact that there were more enemies in the base.

Samus' missile took out two of the machines building the robots, but the remaining eight finished producing the first wave. The eight Pyro-bots charged straight towards the Mason Sisters, firing their flamethrowers already despite not being in range.

Heavy and Soldier began firing at the robots, taking out five of them before they got close enough to risk friendly fire. Engineer began deploying a sentry. "Y'all go stop the other carriers! Heavy, Soldier, Pyro, and I can handle this one!" Engineer yelled.
[hr]The EMily impostor was barely slowed by the chocolate wind, and continued its mindless charge. Joel, Samus, and two Seras copycats rounded the corner, also charging straight towards Sophia.

Seras and Faro decided to do as Engi suggested and took their stuff along with them.
