Joel changed back into his usual clothing, including the large coat and gloves he used to hide his prosthetic arm, and weapons. He then went over to the group, trying to pick up on what had happened from the conversation. [color=003366]"What's going on?"[/color] he asked Kenna.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Some new threat. Going down to the police station to find out more."

[color=003366]"What kind of threat?"[/color] Joel asked, looking around for any sign of trouble.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I didn't hear all of it. Something about lizards."

 

[Kirke]

Húriel turned and walked backwards in order to reply to Joel. "I don't fully understand it, but I think the gist of it is that a people not of this world are trying to infiltrate and take control over it. We're on our way to the person who warned us in the first place, hopefully he knows more." Despite walking backwards, and not once looking over her shoulder, Húriel kept up the same pace and did not stumble.

[color=003366]"I hope so."[/color] Joel said to Húriel.

 

[Demonjazz]

After maybe half an hour of walking or so, the group arrived at the police station. It looked about like any other police station, a drab building with cop cars parked out in front of it.

 

[Kirke]

Húriel stopped and looked at the building, remembering what the guy in the gym had said about weaponry being illegal. "I'm not too sure I should go in there, at least not openly. They might take offence to my weapons."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Kenna looked at the station, expecting it to look more like the Met. She looked at Húriel. "Maybe you can disarm yourself at the door?"

 

[Kirke]

Húriel looked back at Kenna with a smile. "And you think they would give them back to me afterwards? If what I heard earlier is true, carrying weapons is illegal. I am carrying lots of weapons." After another moment of consideration, she said, "I might be able to sneak past the guards, if I can find somewhere to put my backpack in the meantime."

OoC: Alright, at this point I have to think about how I want to do the stealth ability. In-game, you stealth with what seems like a smoke bomb, then can move unseen even in daylight. Not sure if I want to do it that way here.

"I'm not sure that doing a B&E on the place where the cops are is a good idea..."

 

[Kirke]

Húriel frowned in confusion. "A what now? I presume cops are guardsmen?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Oh, right, sorry. Yeah, cops are police, the guys who stop crime around the city. And B&E is breaking and entering, which is illegal."

 

[Kirke]

"Yeah, I know it's illegal. So is carrying weapons, apparently. In that regard, I'm in trouble either way."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"...OK, I hadn't thought of that." Kenna admitted.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"Well, you have to get a permit to carry a concealed weapon. At least that's my guess for here. People usually get that for firearms or guns."

After a few more blocks they arrived at the police station. They would also see lots of police vehicles in a parking lot behind a chain-link fence.

 

[Slenn]

Sara opened the door for everyone, letting them inside.

 

[Demonjazz]

A security guard was sitting at the front desk. He was having a cup of coffee, and a doughnut, when he looked up from his large cup of of coffee at the people walking in, all he had to say was "Oh God, not these guys. You guys have any idea what kind of paperwork we've been having to do cause of you? And don't even get me started on politics. It's practically a riot over at the U.N."

Kenna walked in, raising an eyebrow at the warm welcome.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"Are you referring to the bounties in the UK or the havoc at the gym this morning? I'm not sure what else I can do for you but apologize for the ruckus. Regardless, we're here to see a man about some reptilian aliens."
