OOC: Ah, right. I...guess that makes sense?

OOC: If I found out that in another dimension they had made a video game about me, I think I'd feel slightly impressed. But yeah, at the same ime I see your point.

Legion nodded.
"Very well. We will not request further information."

OOC: knowing he's in a webcomic didn't affect Joel that much... *realises he picked the wrong example*... or Father Tim.

OoC: And Joe already knows where his existence comes from... If my understanding of alot of these characters weren't so patchy, Joe would have some moments like Knife.

Ezio and Wesker would be two they'd know partially.

OOC: Never really played Resident Evil, which is why he didn't recognise Wesker, and Knife never met Ezio.
'Phew, off the hook.'
"Well then, nice talking to you Legion." Knife says before walking out of the IA core, and past Jack Noir. "Oh, hi Spades Slick." He says off handedly.
"Spades Slick? Got a nice ring to it. But I know my own name. And that damn well ain't my name."
'Ack, your bad at this.'

OOC: May as well say that the Normandy reaches New York now, since nothing much else is happening. Anyone want to arrange some sideline incident to keep things interesting?

ooc: i Was planing on making New York the last stop for Grant and the rest of the refuges...and actually...

Grant asked for directions to the bridge of the ship and found Shepard there. "Sir, may I ask where you are planing on letting us off?"

Shepard turned to Grant, slightly perplexed.
"Is it customary in this time for soldiers to refer to female officers as 'Sir'? As for where you're to be let off, do you have any preferences?"

"Yes, actually, it is...sir...?" There was an awkward pause after Grant spoke. "Anyway, as for a preferred drop off location, well, most of the other soldiers and I were deployed from Fort Hamilton, but that was located inside New York City so that's not an option, considering the recent nuke activity...so the closes military instillation would be West Point, it's only 80km away from New York City I believe." he said.

"Um... ok. I didn't know that. Well, West Point isn't too far. We can be there shortly. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing my old academy in its historic state. Ok then, I'll have my helmsman set our new course."

On the Normandy Xanis, the two Banshees, the 4 Guardians and Rakanis waited in their alloted area. The Guardians had agreed to surrender their weapons and two sat together with their helmets beside them talking of the craftworld, a female Guardian was working on visual callibrations in her helmet and the other had produced a wraithbone puzzle box and began to play with it. The two Banshees had refused to part with their weapons and sat across from each-other cross legged in thought with their weapons layed across their laps as they meditated. Rakanis counldn't be disarmed as his weapons were part of his armour and he sat in frustration of the cramped conditions. In the middle of the room Xanis sat observing the runes which floated around him. He opened his eyes and snatched one from the air looking at it. Smiling to himself he spoke to their Guards. "I will see Shepard now."

"Hrmph. Figured you'd get bored eventually. Shepard, the sneak has had enough, he wants to talk to you." Shepard heard Grunt's call in her comms set and made her way down to the lower deck. On arriving, she stood in front of Xanis.
"Ok, same questions as before. Go."

Standing Xanis answered "When entering negotiations you hold one hand out in friendship while the other holds a dagger behind your back. Those devices you discovered were a precaution. Surely you understand that in a galaxy of uncertainty its helpful be certain of something for once."

After Royce had gone over all the solders and refuges he began wandering around the ship. He eventually ended up in the brig. He saw Shepard talking to a group of strange creatures. He walked in, curios as to what was going on.

Shepard shook her head in disdain.
"If you people had just been open and honest about your terms of the deal, then there would have been no need for precautions. I don't break promises unless the people I'm dealing with do, or unless they're the sort who clearly don't intend to treat us as allies in the first place. Hell, if you treated some of the people you deal with a little better, then you might find that the galaxy isn't nearly as harsh or cruel as you think."

OOC: Was Xanis accusing Shepard of planning to break her promise, or admitting that that is part of the Eldar's way of doing things?

"How naive Shepard, even if I was, as you say: 'Open and Honest', there was nothing to stop you and the Normandy from flying against us on a whim. The Eldar know too well the lessons of the galaxy human, what you have to lecture us on we have already experienced tenfold. Needless to say you and your crew are mentioned on the Runes but your purpose is not." Looking at the Eldar with him he said "I will give you some important information Shepard...it is rare that I reveal my intentions to a potential enemy. Indeed I needed to consult the runes again before I made my decision but it should explain my...secrecy."

OOC: He was admitting the Eldar way of doing things. When your civilisation is destroyed and the galaxy is now filled with a large amount of alien races that will kill you given the chance the Eldar cannot afford to simply 'trust' someones word. The 40k galaxy is a lot bleaker than the Mass Effect galaxy.

"There was always my sense of honour, and if you were as wise as you say, you'd know that you would have been able to rely on that. But never mind that, what's done can't be undone. Say what you have to say."

OOC: I know, the 40K universe has been thoroughly 'fucked over by twats', as it were. Thats one of the reasons why I never really got into it, far too miserable for me. And I always thought that certain of the races, such as the Tau, Eldar and Space Nazis, er, Marines, could solve a lot of their problems by being more diplomatic. If they formed alliances, then they would have a much better chance against the Chaos marines, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Orks, 'Nids, etc.

Omega Joe walked into the room with Shepard and the Eldar. "This ship is amazing! Is there the possibility for me to bring some of the Joes into the ship, they would love to learn about this technology."

Omega gives a discreet *wink* at Shepard. Hoping she would realized the Joes were capable of building anything given the time to learn.

After some quick thinking, Knife had wiggled out of the situation with Jack, and was now standing in the engine room, starring at the machine that turned this very expensive hunk of metal into a spacecraft.
