Shepard was examining her Collector particle beam in the armoury. She wanted to be sure that it was it perfect condition before the assault on Preginald's base, and it calmed her to do so. She had seen Garrus enter and place an old fashioned shotgun inone of the cabinets earlier, but when she asked about it he just gravely shook his head. Now she was interrupted again by one of Xanis's guardians, and after he explained his orders, Shepard followed him.

OOC: Jaguar, Kilo's body would have been dumped from the airlock during the flight, not just left to rot. And Shepard isn't in her quarters.

OOC: Hey, literally every time I leave I say 'feel free to land the Normandy while I'm gone.' No one ever does.

OOC: shouldn't the Normandy have landed by now? Just... just saying...

Vincent continued walking through the dome with the robot. What goes on here? It sounds worse than Professor Hojo's experiments.

Alastair was still on his way and bumped into Shepard. "Where is Garrus?" He asked without telling her about Kilo's body. He removed his armour and saw his old clothes, Right where he left them. He took them and ran into a room. He changed whilst waiting for her answer.

Shepard watched Alastair run off after asking her a question.
"O-kay..." As she began to move again, Joker spoke over the intercom.
"Arriving at our destination in a few minutes, Commander. Better make sure everyone is ready to go." Shepard nodded and went on to the cargo bay, where she found Xanis waiting.
"You wanted to see me?"

Xanis looked at Shepard, his warhost around him all prepared for combat, even the Wraithguard stirred slightly. "Commander, I wanted to see you about you plan to deploy. If our strategies were to work in tandem then any coflict would surely be in our favour. At what distance do you plan to land the ship?" Xanis asked.

OOC: Nile Ive got pictures of what all the Eldar look like back on 244 if you want to check it out.

"My typical strategy wouldn't involve landing the ship at all, we'd fly overhead and perform a tactical insertion, then use the Normandy as air support. We can land it further out to drop off your team and anyone else who isn't comfortable jumping out of a moving ship. Where would you like us to land?"

Alastair came out and was ready for whatever plan was in play. He gave his armour to Tali for safe keeping. He ran to Sofia. "DAD! Your face!" She said indacating his now visible skull. It was covering a quater but now a half. He shushed her and picked up his katana and walked to the door. He was ready for jump.

"Your manner of assault is similar to the Eldar's. If you do not land beforehand, I will insert my host in a differant location to yours to divide their forces." Xanis was suprised of the surgical manner Shepard's attack, a human strategy usually reserved for Space Marines. "My warriors are ready just inform us when we may deploy."

Alastair looked out the window to see the country of Ireland. "Ah time for the guiness." He laughed as he opened the door knowing when to jump.

Shepard nodded.
"Fair enough. Get ready." She activated her comms system and linked it to the Normandy's intercom.
"Alright everyone, report to the cargo bay." she said, her voice echoing through the ship. "Preginald's base is almost directly below us. Shore team, you know the drill. Legion, Grunt, you're with me, we'll take the Mako. Garrus, you take command of the rest, take them down in the Hammerhead. All you passengers who want to join the fight, the Normandy can drop you at a fourth location. We're going to divide their forces, keep them turning. Preginald's army may be powerful, but each and every one of you have proven your strength and skill. I know that you won't fail when your time comes.

We've heard what it is that Preginald is planning, and it sickens me to the core. He's going to take away from the people of this planet everything that makes them individual, every reason for them to survive. We can't let him do it. We won't let him do it. Now, lets get down there, and show him exactly what organic life is worth." When she finished, she turned to Xanis.

"Time to do what we do best."

 

[Drakmorg]

The robot led Vincent into the perfection center and gave him the tour. Vincent saw a woman strapped to a table. The arms descended from the ceiling and drilled a hole into her skull. She instantly stopped screaming in terror and agony once the second arm planted the chip in her brain. As the table unstrapped she got up and politely curtsied to the robotic arms before walking out.

Major Gibbins approached Preginald in his office, "Sir! All the defenses are in place. If we are to be attacked here there is no possible way we could give them a harder time in doing so."
Preginald responded, "Excellent. Now we play the waiting game."

Alastair couldn't contain himself and jumped out and landed gracefully. "What the?" He said in the sight of fire and brunt tree's.

Xanis motioned to the Eldar behind him and they formed up. Draug, Inaeun, the Wraithguard and the Shuriken Cannon would cover their deployment while he advanced with the Guardians, Rakanis and the Banshees. "Strike swift and true. maintain the initiative and keep them guessing, even the mightiest shield will crack under a rain of blows." Xanis turned to stand at the head of the small warhost which had readied itself uniformly and quickly.

OOC: Now well get to see the full fury of the combined arms tactics of the Eldar. Am I going first?

The Normandy flew in low, picking up speed as it descended.
"Approaching the first drop zone now, Commander." Legion and Grunt arrived and quickly prepped the Mako for a jump. Garrus and the rest of Shepard's team piled into the Hammerhead shuttle and readied its engines for a quick, short flight. The cargo bay door opened, letting the roaring wind fill the bay and providing everyone with a view of the blasted terrain whipping by below them.

"Ready now? Team 1, prepare to jump!"

OOC: I'll assume Royce will be part of the attack, so I'll just put this in.

Before the deployment, Garrus approached Royce in the cargo bay, and handed him his shotgun and revolver.
"You're going to need these. Stay firm down there Corporal, your chance at redemption begins now. Don't make me regret taking that gun from you in the first place."

OOC: Outis, if if this interferes with your own plans at all, feel free to disregard it.

OOC: @Venerated; Yeah, take it away.

As the Normandy came into view the base's automated defenses spring to life and begin peppering it with heavy machine gun fire and artillery shells. "Looks like that's your cue Gibbins." Preginald said as the alarms began sounding. "Sir yes Sir!" Gibbins says as he leaves to rally Preginald's forces.

Vincent looked around. "I'm going to tell you a story about a scientist named Hojo and a man named Sephiroth. Hojo found the DNA of an alien called Jenova, and implanted it in Sephiroth's body before he was born. It made him a deadly soldier. But one day, Sephiroth found out about the experiments performed on him. So he tried to destroy the entire planet." Vincent said. "Seems applicable here. Have the others arrived yet?"

Alastair was amazed at the mass amounts of men. Alastair turned and screamed on his way out. He tripped on the stairs and began to run to the Normandy.

Xanis leaps from the open doorway along with the Guardians and Banshees. Rakanis warps down and begins tearing the automated turrets apart with his Power Blades, warping from one to another in the blink of an eye. Draug stepped forward and launched a salvo of Krak missles at remaining defenses, the rapid fire missle launcher stichting the base with white explosions, after the salvo he lept down also and continued his barrage, switching missle types appropriately. Xanis bolstered the resolve of the Guardians as they set Wraithbone devices on the floor which sprung up into large energy fields which prevented fire from passing through but allowed the Eldar shots through instead. Inaeun and the Shuriken Cannon also leapt down, the two Guardians manning the gun powering it up and its distinct shriek soon filled the air with a suppresive storm of blades. Last to drop was the lumbering Wraithguard which lands with a crash before slowly rising and preparing to fire its deadly weapon at any hard targets. Not a single Eldar fell in the initial deployment due to the practiced precision of the Eldar and their incredible ability to work as a machine of war far greater than the sum of its parts. The Eldar manned the various energy fields as cover and Xanis observed the tides of battle, waiting for a shift.
