Joel paced the hangar, nerves going into overdrive. Something felt wrong. Maybe it was the locations, or maybe it was just his paranoia again.
"This guy has sent us to an Icelandic volcano, Africa hunting blood diamonds and Three-Mile Island, home to a nuclear plant in slightly better condition than the one in Chernobyl. Something is very wrong... I wonder if I could get Rugal's radio to start transmitting again without Miranda..." Joel mused. He focused his energy, and searched for Rugal. You won't find him! his mind taunted. It's obvious why not... Joel continued searching. Fine, I'll tell you! Only beings from OUR universe have auras. And even if this one's did, Rugal isn't from this world either. Joel thought harder. I'm from a universe parallel to this with only EVOLUTIONARY differences. Therefore, this world has the same energy. And I'll bet Rugal is using a transmitter from this world, or else the technology would not work. So, if I can just... "DAMN IT!" Renlen stood in front of the clothing store with an eyebrow slightly raised. "This is high quality?" he thought as he stood looking at the rather boring sign above the door set into the windowless store. "Well it's better than nothing." He quickly checked the bag of gold coins in his pocket, making sure of the amount that was still there, before entering the store.
20 minutes later. He exited, soot stained clothes in one hand and less gold weighing down his pockets. Renlen finally had some clean new duds. After removing his pair of sunglasses from his face and pocketing them, Renlen replaced them with a monocle he had decided to purchase at the last minute. Unlike the sunglasses that how covered his eyes previously, the monocle revealed two obsidian coloured eyes that had seen far too much. Now he looked nothing like he did when he first arrived in this dimension, which Renlen thought would help in disguising himself from the two he had encountered earlier as they surely took note of what he looked like as he ran. The only bad thing about this change of attire was that he still smelled of burning and ash. Renlen had started to become accustomed to the smell but knew if he were to encounter the Wolf Man again, the odds would certainly be in the beast's favour. Freshly clothed, Renlen took stock of surroundings and pondered what he should do next.

I'm actually lost at what my character can do now that he has some new duds. Anybody got any ideas? Oh yes and obligatory image of my character dressed in new dudes followed by avatar icon change.

I know I always seem to end up RPing my character away from the action and signing off when the story gets good. Though in this position I'm unaffected by Diablo's commands and have become the wild card in the story and have the potential to become the wrench in Rugal's machinations. At this moment, the only viable and sensible choices my character could follow through is returning to the clearing and setting up some sort of ambush/amusing trap in the hope that the only two people he considers adversaries were to return to that location and end up ensnaring everyone in a giant net. Well either that or he returns to the bar and waits/visits a hotel until something interesting to investigate happens on the TV.TrilbyWill said:

Although that would be fairly useful in giving my character something to do, it just doesn't seem like it would work out well. For example, if I was sent ahead to either location I would have no clue why I'm there. And if I happened to be sent to Africa and encountered Random and Venerated's characters the ensuing reaction during this reunion wouldn't be hugs, it'd be more along the lines of a bullet to the face and of my now armless character. Higly likely seeing as I wouldn't even know they were there. Plus if I got sent to Iceland chances are someone (Alek) would sooner squash me/shoot me than find out who I am. Especially if he recognises my character's 'voice' from the radio episode earlier.Knife-28 said:

My character's telepathic powers only extend to talking mentally via technology and that's basically my form of communication. It doesn't reach the extent of mind reading or mind control as that would make my character too overpowered. Though my character has suggested that the technology for such techniques exists in the dimensional... let's call it strata-sphere for simplicity's sake but he also stated that he had only encountered one person with the technology and he wasn't keen on meeting her again. Of course he didn't voice this knowledge so only he knows of it's existance at this moment in time. I was thinking if this RP carrys on till Feb than I may try and introduce that character as another antagonist and let someone RP through her. Alek thought, turning up the volume. "Inside a volcano." Came the response, the new voice definitely belonged to Rugal. Alek slowed down, he knew that wasn't right. Adamantium was an alloy, it wasn't naturally occurring and it certainly wouldn't be near the mouth of a volcano. Something isn't right here, Alek thought.
