Alek cursed. So much for waiting him out. He had no illusion that Joel was bluffing. The man was crazy. Slamming on the controls the stormwalker took off at a gallop, bursting out the entrance and vaulting over Joel. Alek wondered whether or not it was worth risking Rugal's treachery to get away from his own insane allies.

Joel arrived at the hotel and sprinted into the stairwell. "Hey guyssswhere's Joe?" he said. He suddenly because aware that tears were rolling down his cheek, which he hadn't notice while bent over the handlebars.

Thinking back as he 'spoke' to this nade man who was presumablely called Michael, Renlen 'explained' "Back in Ireland, I had just awoken from nearly being killed by a burning forest to find a strange scene. The wolfman and girl. Doing what any sane person would do I immediately placed myself in a better situation than the beast under the assumption he was assailing her. After trying to talk the beast into leaving the girl, we quickly ended up in a stalemate which you walked in on. Of course you know what happened up until the flash. The flash actually wasn't produced by any type of grenade. Instead my spherical companion presently behind you was it's source. Of course, the purpose of the flash was a test to see whether you would react violently or adopt a clueless stance and we both know what came after." and he 'added' on "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Michael Connor and Joe number 73. I'm quite certain this introductions would have happened much earlier if it hadn't been for the turn of events in Ireland."

Alek turned to Joe. "I think Joel is trying to kill me." He said, stopping the walker and staring down at Joel.

Renlen noticed Joel's return and immediately clammed up. He wasn't talking when Joel was around. The guy caused enough chaos without anyone addressing him whilst he lived his life.

Deciding to assume that Renlen had simply made a very bad decision, I took the kuri away from his neck and lowered it to waist height, releasing him as I did so.

"Regardless of what produced the flash, it would bloody stupid to use it at all. I'm going to assume you'd never been in a Mexican standoff before, but any fool could figure out that sudden movements and attempts to blind the other participants don't usually end with handshakes and introductions. But, putting all that behind us for now, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Renlen Deadeye."

Joel looked up from the scarf at Joe. Just... just shoot someone. One of the guests. The mother. Just... in the face. "No, Joe. I didn't. Go into my bedroom, in Matt's bag you'll find a pack lunch with my name on it. Have that. There's probably five in there, you can share them out. ALEK! You want tuna sandwiches?"

Adjusting his hold on the building Swiftrunner kept listening. Seems everyone was all friendly now except for Joel. Micheal's mention of Swiftrunners lack of honour stung but he suppressed a growl, he wasn't going to be found out because of that again.

Alek sighed. He was stuck with the psychotics. For now. First chance he got, he was going to leave, Rugal and the others be damned. "Sure."

Joel threw his room key to Joe. "Matt's bag is the small blue one with the skirts in it. My lunches are in paper bags with 'Joel' written on them."

Grateful to be finally out of danger of having his throat cut, Renlen rubbed his throat gingerly. He looked warily at Joel and was just barely suppressing the urge to punch him in the face. He turned and looked at Michael and quickily assessed him. Setting up a mental channel, he wordlessly agreed that his actions in Ireland could have been better thought out and promptly holstered his revolver in order to present a handshake to show bygones were bygones.

Joel sniffed and looked at Joe. "Matt. I left him with some... Doc Sparkle. I haven't been able to contact her, so I can't get Matt back... OH SHIT! Doc Sparkle gave me a blueprint... that I put in my overcoat. Damn."

Joe #73 walks back into the hallway/room with Joel, Michael and Renlen.

"There WAS one with ribs!" *munch munch munch*

*looks at the hand shake Renlen gives Michael*

"Oh come on, I want a hand shake too." sticks out a hand covered in BBQ sauce.

Sheathing my kukri, I grinned and shook Renlen's hand. Then my expression turned grim.

"So, what now? Not only do we still have Rugal to deal with, but this new lackey of his, Kazuya as well. And Swiftrunner. All three of them are a threat to the innocent people of this world. How the hell do we stop them?"

Alek got back to the hotel. "So, there's food?" Alek asked entering. "Also, considering recent events, does anyone have a new plan?"

Renlen and Micheals converation was useless but Joels mention of a blueprint and 'doc sparkle' grabbed his attention. He quickly peeked through the window before returning to clutching onto the wall.

His arms were getting tired and he would have to leave soon and he needed to know where they would be heading next, if anything he could tell Rugal and at least not be killed by him when they next met.
