The stormwalker lurched to life once more. Well, Alek thought, here goes nothing. With that he lifted the walker's right foot and stomped. The impact broke through to the floor below, which, upon contact with the falling walker, collapsed itself. That went on until Alek had reached the bottom floor, fortunately, with the floors slowing the descent the walker was mostly unscathed by the action. Now, it was time to leave.

Joel heard the building shudder as the stormwalker stomped, and heard Joe's radio transmission. "Joe! Thank God, someone who doesn't hate me... Come to the stairs, I want to introduce you to a friend. Oh, and make sure you have the adamantium. We need it to beat Rugal."

I held Renlen tight, the blade firm against his thoat. A single drop of blood ran down his neck.

"Against my better judgement, I'm going to re-extend the truce I offered before. If you answer our questions."

At least that's what Renlen was going to do. But suddenly as Renlen's punch connected with Joel's face he sensed someone behind him. The kukri coming to his face confirmed the fact someone was there. He then heard "I've got a bone to pick with you." and immediately realised the guy with the Kukri was the one who liked chucking grenades. Grinning slightly, he commanded GS to stop patrolling and to return to the stairwell as he silently lowered the revolver still clutched in his right hand towards his captor's lower regions.

"Now, first of all, I'd like to know why the bloody hell you threw that flashbang at us back in Ireland. I offered peace! I told you I didn't want to fight Unless it was necessary! Are you always that treacherous, or are you just stupid.?"

I glanced down as I spoke.

"Well, that puts us on even ground. Make no mistake, if you fire, this blade will sever your carotid as I fall. Now, explain yourself."

Joel stood in front of Renlen.
"I'm offering a truce again as well. On one condition." Joel suddenly became violent, his teeth growing and eyes turning red for effect. "WHEN I SAY STAY THERE, YOU FUCKING STAY THERE! IF YOU HAD LISTENED, THEN WE WOULDN'T BE IN A BLOWN-OPEN HOTEL, AND THE FUCKING RUSSIAN AND ISRAELI GOVERNMENTS WOULDN'T BE CALLING ME EVERY FIVE MINUTES ASKING WHAT THE FUCK TO DO ABOUT THEIR TWO OPERATIVES YOU GOT KILLED!"

Renlen then felt a graze on his throat and frowned. He mentally projected to GS to get his ass in gear and return to the stairs. He then felt the hotel shuddered and heard the nademan say "Against my better judgement, I'm going to re-extend the truce I offered before. If you answer our questions." Renlen wasn't sure if the man knew he had a revolver pointed at his crotch yet, but remainded silent. Because thats the problem with being a mute.

Joe walked over to where Joel had mentioned in the radio message, he was still a bit peeved at Joel for what he had done to Alek, but he was never really the person to hold a grudge.

As he turned the corner he saw Joel, "Wow what happened to you?!"

Joel looked at Joe puzzled, Joe seems shorter than I remember, and why is there an eye on his forehead?

Joe continued to approach Joel and finally caught a glimpse of Renlen, "Oh hi there, what's your name?"

Joel glared at Joe. "This is Renlen. Let's catch up. He's a mute, Mike. Also, he flew here and ruined my plans. He forced me to reveal myself to Rugal to save his ass, and all our asses. That is why the hotel is mostly destroyed. I will forgive him, if he ACTUALLY WORKS WITH US!"

What now, the others had regrouped at the hotel and he could not attack again while they were together. He doubt he could return to Rugal without a single one of the group dead.

He contented himself to remain in the surrounding area and watch to see what transpired in the aftermath of the attack.

Renlen was slightly annoyed at the position he was in. He had three people throwing questions at him and no way of answering in the first place. There was a kukri to his neck but a revolver at the balls of the guy holding it and GS was being a lazy fuckwit. "Today could've have gone better he thought."

Kazuya lands back at HQ as New watches the Action at the Hotel from a UAV.
"Wow...they did a real number on that place..." he chuckled.

Alek left the hotel and dashed down the street. There weren't many places one could hide out with a stormwalker in the city, he thought. If subtlety was out of the question, then he would have to settle for somewhere more defensible. There! It was just a parking garage, but it was concrete and would fit the stormwalker and not collapse. At this point, that was more than enough. As Alek settled the walker into a vacant corner of the garage he began thinking. What was he going to do?

Joel's ears pricked. "Be right back. I have to talk to the heir to the now-dissolved Austro-Hungarian Empire." he said and sprinted for his motorbike, driving after the crashing sounds of the stormwalker.

Renlen looked at Joel and briefly wondered how he was in charge, when he heard a small ring indicating GS was outside the stairwell's door. "Finally!" he thought. He then immediately commanded GS to silently melt the lock on the door.

"So going to the printing press wasn't the best idea I ever had? Well that was a mistake, I could have helped..."

"So 'Mr. the Mute that nearly got everyone killed apparently, that is actually named Renlen', you any good with charades?"
