"May I look at your map?" Savranth asked Dal'Sheen.

Tophat may sense various things about them. They certainly weren't human, but not natural either. It was almost like several of the trees were alive.

@Tribly: Yes, I suspect future threads may adopt it as well. If nothing else, that came of all this.

He hands over the map to Savranth.

Rita shrugged and left, heading towards Rockbyrd. She knew it would be dangerous, but she hadn't spent her life researching magic without learning defenses against it.

 

[Kirke]

Okay... Living beings all around. What am I looking at here?
Tophat tried to enter one of the beings mindscape, to examine it closer.

 

[Saltyk]

Savranth looks over the map and points to a spot on it. "Right here there's a Legaian base. It's not too far. I find it hard to believe that they would leave Pewtercove defenseless." Savranth explained. " Besides, I know it has a relatively small defense force stationed there."

Rita would find the trip down a little easier than up, but still cold.

Tophat would find the creature's minscape simple. It was concerned with water and soil, showed a fear of fire, but also it was weary of the two strangers in it's midst.

(To creature: Don't worry, I hate fire as much as you do. We mean no harm, and were just passing through.)

"I'm not sure... He maybe seeking to gain a foothold into enemy territory to facilitate a continued assault into enemy territory. That seems like a logical move... Especially if we are on the brink of war." Savranth answered. "I know little of this Blake personally, but from what I have seen... He's not the kindest person."

All Tophat got in return was the same response from the simple minded creature.

Rita continued towards her goal, she was very cold since she owned no warm clothing, but there was no one around to complain to.

"He did seem very aggressive yesterday when we met him at the school. You think we should wait and see?"

Tophat left the creatures mind, wondering how it had been created.
If that is a product of magic, it is troubling indeed.

The Rookie exited the forrest, and saw the mountain on which Winterhorn was built.
(To the Rookie: Come on, not much further.)

 

[Saltyk]

"I'm not certain. Should we go investigate? If we accompany him, we maybe able to help, or we maybe able to prevent him from doing anything drastic. What do you think?" Savranth suggested.

Rita would slowly reach the base of the mountain as Rookie reached it at roughly the same time.

 

[Random berk]

Cynane was back in the library, browsing through the shelves and searching for books on the subject of the world's ecology.
"Damn it, this place is too big. How the hell are you supposed to find anything?" She wondered out loud as she searched.

 

[Slenn]

"That sounds fair enough."

OOC: Got around an hour before I need to head out for a dentist's appointment. So I'll put him on autopilot when the time comes.

Noel and Charlotte had continued to just enjoy the cold day as it was, but Noel had gathered a pile of snow for herself as she started to lazily lift her hands as the snow pile melted and became a blob of floating water.

The Rookie saw Rita, and tried to discreetly go around her.

Rita saw the Rookie but kept on going. Whatever he was up to was none of her business

"Then, shall we gather the others, and go see what we can find out?" Savranth asked Dal'Sheen as he walked to the training room's exit.

"Are you a water magic user?" Anna asked Noel as she came up behind her, seeing the water.

Rookie would continue climbing up the mountain, eventially coming to the school, after a time.

As Rita continued her treck, she would come to a fork.
