"Oh." Fantastic... Jessica replied to the pedestrian, keeping her sarcastic thoughts to herself. "Well, I think I'll still check it out anyway. Thank you very much! Have a nice night." Jessica then made to follow the pedestrian's instructions, finding whatever looked most like the main road, then following it north.

 

[DotSlash]

Ness nodded a small bit. "Right... I'll be sure to tell you and Ms. Valentine about what I'm doing then."

 

[Chungus]

"This isn't a hotel. If you want something to eat, there are plentiful restaurants in town."
[hr]
"You too." the pedestrian said as Jessica walked off, then continued on his way.
[hr]
"Thank you." Erica said, and yawned soon after. "I think I'll be going to bed now. Good night, Vanessa." after giving Ness a slight smile, Erica entered the hotel again, and went to bed.

OoC: I'm off now. Loki will follow Rita.

With a sigh Rita walked away and started to wander the town.

Ness waved goodbye to Erica before sighing and teleporting herself into her hotel room and going to sleep.

The next gravestone read:

Lenard Jerome Tanner

Similar to how the text on the previous stone had been enlarged, this one's had smaller typeface to take up roughly the same amount of space on the stone.

Tophat sighed, looking down on the ground.
You've gotten far less credit than you deserve, Tanner. You were a good man. I'll be damned if I can remember how you died though. Rest in peace. - It stood up and walked over to the next stone, crouching down once more.

 

[Chungus]

As she followed the road, she passed the palace. Following it further still, Jessica would eventually see the abbey, and the damage done to it. The surrounding area had hardly fared better, with many of the tiles having been shattered, and the ground beneath them made uneven. Around the abbey, steel fences had been erected. A sign on the fence read "under construction".

The next tombstone in line read:

Unlike the others however, this one had dates written underneath the name in a smaller type font:

May 10, 2012 - June 11, 2012

Jessica hummed to herself in annoyance as she found that the pedestrian had been right about the state the Abbey was in. She took some time to examine the perimeter, looking through the fence to see the state the Abbey was in, all while maintaining the air of a curious sightseer.

 

[Kirke]

I hardly knew you, but I know you shouldn't have to carry that name. Whatever Four says, Conall was a fucking monster. Rest in peace. - Tophat went over to the next stone, its mind made heavy by sorrow.
OoC: @Drak: I don't remember how he died, though I guess I hardly remember him at all.

 

[Chungus]

Jessica would find that the abbey had sustained severe damage to the roof, as well as some of the walls, some of which had partially collapsed.

OoC @Kirke: Conall 2 died by Vargering.

The next headstone, which was also the next to last one, read:

Despite the length of the name, the type was broken up into three separate lines, unlike the previous headstones.

Jessica continued humming to herself, then strolled off a short distance from the Abbey and found a bench nearby to sit on. Reaching up to her chest, she started rolling the pendant of her necklace between her pointer finger and thumb once again as she attempted to mentally contact Loki. This is Jessica. I think I found the place, but it's pretty wrecked up. I can't even just walk inside. What should I do now?

 

[Kirke]

Tophat chuckled as he read the name.
"Thought you'd be buried somewhere in Castlewood. I always had the feeling you had survived far more than anyone else of us. I guess death comes to us all, sooner or later." - After a moment of silent mourning, Tophat continued to the next stone.
OoC: Gonna go buy some things, I'll be back in 20 minutes or so.

 

[Chungus]

Whilst shrouded, Loki had returned to the palace. He was following servants around, trying to find where the royals were. Upon hearing Jessica's mental transmission, Loki reached his his pendant whilst keeping up what he was doing, although his pace slowed. Can you see if there are any people inside from where you stand now?

The last black marble gravestone read:

Incidentally, the grey stone that seemed to correspond with the last black marble stone, as the black marble stones were on the opposite side of the tree as the grey stones and were lined up in the same pattern that the grey stones were, seemed somewhat less weathered than the other six grey stones.

Just a sec. Jessica glanced up from her sitting spot on the Abbey. She kept all her senses alert for detecting if people were currently inside, looking for them, listening for movement, as well as smelling for the possible trace of magic being used to indicate people working within the wreckage.

 

[Chungus]

While she wouldn't hear much within the abbey, Jessica would occasionally see people in ocnstruction garb pass by a window or one of the holes int the walls. She would also smell the usage of magic, although these traces were faint at the time.

 

[Kirke]

Winter. I never regarded you with anything else than the respect I believe you deserve, and so it shall continue. However, I will take it upon myself to make sure you are not forgotten. - It glanced over at the other stones as it stood up.
That goes for all of you.

Tophat walked back towards Ray, with heavy but determined steps.

 

[Drakmorg]

Yep. Definitely people inside. Probably a just clean-up crew. Jessica telepathically relayed to Loki. As she waited for Loki's response she started counting the people she saw, attempting to come up with a rough estimate for how many were currently occupying the Abbey.

Somewhere in the time that Tophat had spent the gravestones Ray had looked away off in the distance. Hearing Tophat approaching him, he turning back around to face him. "Ready to head back now?" In anticipation of Tophat's response, a set of blue glyphs formed in the air around Ray's head.

 

[Kirke]

"Yes, I've lingered far too long."
While waiting for Ray to create a portal, Tophat looked out at the horizon. "It is a strange feeling, this. You can count the people still alive from the time when the Tanner was used on one hand, just about. Of those, I know for sure two are alive and well. Of us three, only I have a good memory of what happened back then. It feels like I have a duty to remember all those who fell."

 

[Chungus]

I see. Would it be posible for you to teleport into a secluded section of the building? Loki telepathically asked. As he did this, Loki found having followed servants yielded results, as the paticular servant he followed had lead him to a room Ine was currently staying in. She sat by a window in a wing overlooking the western part of the courtyard, painting what she could see from there. Excellent... Now to think of a means that will spell her end. he thought, although inexpirience with using telepathy lead these thoughts too being transmitted to Jessica.
