Upon ariving in the place where he had left Fafnir, Loki found that she was no longer there, the dragon's maternal instincts telling her to go check up on her young. "Well... This could be inconvinient." he said to himself. Leaning against a tree, Loki waited for Rita to arive.

Tophat's way into the city would be unhindered. When it reached the gates of the palace, however, it was stopped.

Before reaching the gate, Tophat removed the pistol from its belt and shoved it in its backpack, deep down.
"I have come to offer my services to the king, and thus came here." - It said with a voice that both seemed ancient and young, while being very authoritive.

"It is one that is simple, yet effective. Once we entered the room of the princess, Jessica is to use whatever means she has at her disposal to kill her. I had not asked what means these are, exactly, but neither would this matter. All I needed to know is that it would leave a bruise." Loki began, then paused for a second. "Once the deed is done, you are to uplift one of the tiles in the bathroom adjecant to the room she currently is in. It is to be raised just enough that one is able to trip over it. You are also to uplift another tile, smash this over the head so that it leaves an imprint, then insert it back. Once all this is done, we will move the body into the bathroom, placing it in such a manner that it would seem she tripped and hit her head on the stone floor." after explaining, Loki paused again, this time longer, to indicate a change in subject. "As for where Fafnir has gone, I know not. Posible she set out to hunt. It has been quite a while, afterall."

Tophat stopped looking at the guard's mind and returned to its own thoughts.
Jessica was clearly strained for some reason, and yet was able to create a portal without issue. I wonder, what could she have been doing? Telepathy perhaps, but with who? I've got a feeling it has something to do with this city, so staying here is a given for two reasons, now. I do wonder why the king is not available.

After a while, Loki remarked, "A thought has struck me. We know not who those with royal blood are besides the princess. While I know their names, I have never seen them. How do you propose we learn this? Simply asking is, naturally, out of the question."

"Well, the one who called that Grace person "filth" is assuredly a prince, as for the rest I'm sure we could figure it out with a little snooping, we could even ask if we word our questions right... I could ask some townspeople what they think of each of the members of the royal family under the guise of doing some research." replied Rita after some thought.
"Ah, yes. That little amusing instance..." Loki said with a slight smirk. "You are right in the assumption he is of royal blood, for if I recall, he did say "Get out of my garden." As for the suggestion, yes, I do believe that would work. In a city this large, few would know you had actually been to the palace, nor would it be likely that word gets out you have been asking about the royal house. I am also reminded we still need to learn what institute is responsible with spreading news in order to frame the "Destroyer"."

Eventually, the guard lead Tophat to a room with a rectangle table, surrounded by various chairs. At the head, sat woman with short blonde hair, wearing a Xiphatian officer's uniform.
"Ma'am." the guard said as he entered, saluting.
"You may take your leave now." the woman answered with a nod, then looked to Tophat. "Take a seat."

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tophat, one of the so called outsiders you no doubt have heard of. I've been travelling to different dimensions for over half a millenia. I have travelled on this continent for a few weeks now, and have decided to offer my assistance to your cause."
