Once Ness was free from the crowd of guards, Nybeth chanted, "Now rise once again, o breath of demons buried deep within the ground, bring writhing pain and twisted death!" Casting his Poison Cloud spell, he focused a burst of toxic gases to appear in the midst of the group of guards, intending to thin them out or sicken them to make them easier to pick off.
Seeing Rita's raising of the ground underneath the guards, the zombies that were previously engaged in melee switched to using a method with more range, and hurled bolts of fire and lightning at the guards. Meanwhile, the Legaian zombies simply kept up their fire, though most were having to pause and work on redistributing ammo, as quite a bit had been spent and not all had enough on hand to reload their weapons.

As they were launched upwards, the guards were in no position to fight back. When they hit the ground again, two landed in an unfortunate fashion and broke their necks.
While Nybeth's poison gas cloud didn't prove fatal to anyone, it did sicken them, as intended. Hacking and coughing, the guards began moving out of the cloud. A total of ten more guards parished under the gunfire of the Legaian zombies, and the spells of the few remaining Xiphatian ones.
Ness' RPG blew up a total of eight more guards, while the noise left a good deal of other too desorientated to get up and spread out. It also destroyed a good portion of the floor already damaged by Rita's spell. Eleven of the guards fell through the hole, one of them breaking his back upon landing.
The Black Knight made another swipe at the guards that still stood, while some managed to duck beneath the swipe, nine were cut in half.
Valentino threw two cuncks of debris at two induvidual guards. Although neither of them were killed, they were bowled over.
As he tried to get a responce out of Jessica again, Loki fired an energy bolt at one of the guards that had been thrown off his feet by Valentino. With still no responce from Jessica, Loki telepathically spoke to his subjects. For some reason, Jessica is not responding... Nybeth, dismiss your thralls. Rita, Vanessa, dispatch of what guards remain still. We will have to wait, then escape using more conventional means.

Nybeth nodded, then set about ordering his zombies to gather up. Once they were all within a small area, Nybeth held up his hands and began focusing to cast a spell. Though he noticed that the numbers of his zombies seemed to have significantly dwindled, he didn't seem to care terribly much. Once he was finished casting his spell, a circle of purple light appeared on the ground surrounding the area the zombies were crowding into. The light on the floor eventually began shining brighter until it started to extend upwards, forming a pillar. Once the pillar completely obscured the zombies, it maintained itself for several moments, then disappeared in a flash, taking the zombies with it.
Ness' shots killed seven of the guards who were still on the floor the battle had been taking place.

One, he manoeuvred the blade beneath the helmet, and sliced open the guard's throat, and with that done, he leapt at the second, stabbing him through the visor. Loki the blade of the sceptre clean on the leather armour the guard wore beneath the mythril armour, then looked towards Valentino. "You. Use that thing to create a blockage infront of the door."

Ness complied by focusing and snapping her fingers. As she did, a grey portal opened up and appeared on a nearby wall. Ness poked her head through and looked around confused that Jess wasn't there. She brought her head back out before telegraphing to everyone around her. We're clear to pull back, whenever you're ready.
First, time to claim to spoils of war, so to speak. Lend a hand in collecting the corpses. Loki answered Ness, then began picking up the corpses of the palace guards, carrying two at a time, one under each arm, and tossing these through the portal as if throwing a sack of potatoes. Rita helped move corpses too, but could only manage one at a time, and even then just barely managing to drag them.

Nybeth noticed Loki and Rita taking corpses through the portal and joined in with a noticeable degree of enthusiasm. He couldn't hear Valentino either, and thus didn't answer, instead going over and picked up Alexander's corpse and tossing it through the portal with roughly the same amount of lack of respect as Loki, though he was slightly more gentle about it. After that specific corpse was done, he joined along in carrying more bodies through the portal.
Once all the bodies had been tossed through the portal, Loki turned around to look if some had been overlooked, seeing Valentino speaking, looking rather annoyed as he believed everyone was ignoring him. Right. You still live. With a shrug, Loki stabbed him in the heart, then tossed his corpse through the portal as well. With that done, Loki and Rita stepped through themselves.
Ness walked on through the portal, stretching out a bit. As she emerged not seeing Jess, but seeing the trail of her nosebleed, she shook a bit in place as she put two and two together. ...Son of a... Someone kidnapped her....

Nybeth followed through after Loki and Rita, barely even batting an eye at Loki coldly stabbing Valentino like he was crossing off something on his to-do list. Once on the other side, he immediately went about dragging the corpses over to his claimed corner of the temple so he could work on them later.
Once at the temple, Rita found a place to sleep, far, far away from Nybeth's corner. Seeing Nybeth begin to carry the corpses, Loki lended a hand, carrying one under one arm, and reaching for his pendant with the other. How long will it take you before all these will be in working order? And, if you have need of it, I assume you can reach a healer to restore your hearing yourself? he telepathically asked Nybeth. As the floor was littered with bleeding bodies, Loki didn't link the small trail of Jessica's blood trail with her disappearance.
"It will take me a decent amount of time to get these bodies functional. There's nearly as many to work with as our last haul. Though considering I am unsure as to what our next move is, I can estimate they may be done by the time we have another plan in place." Nybeth replied to Loki, using his necklace as well. "And yes, I can see about dealing with this auditory issue myself." He either didn't seem to take notice, or didn't care about Jessica and Vanessa's absence for the time being.
Given that our next move would be one of a more diplomatic nature, before then striking Legaia, that estimation is likely a correct one, if the time it took you to reanimate the ones from the last big haul were something to go by Loki answered, dumping the corpse he was carrying in Nybeth's corner, then looked around the temple. With his hand still on the necklace, Loki contacted Ness, wondering where she had gone. Where have you gone off to?
"Very well. I have no interest in such matters, so I would prefer to remain here and work until we have reached the stage that provides me with more materials to research with." Nybeth replied to Loki. Having moved all the bodies, he went to work on sorting them out into two separate piles.
