What a nuisance... At the very least, they were taken after a point where the had outlived their usefulness. Loki thought, keeping his thoughts to himself. Reaching for his pendant, Loki first contacted Nybeth. That, most unfortunately, it has been. On the plusside, this does little to hinder us ultimately. You can return to your work now, you have been kept from it long enough already. Having said that, he contacted Rita. While he couldn't hear her, he did see her mouth move. Now, we continue as normal. A convinient means of transportation aside, nothing of value has been lost here. First, we return to the Wild Lands. To do this, we will comandeer a vessel in that Port town. Then, we return to Shaintaio, have the issue of our deafness seen to, then deal with this incident.
Having taken some time to compose herself, Jessica managed to unsteadily reach into her coat and pull out her canteen. She took a small drink from it herself, which helped to dull all the pain she was feeling, then poured the rest down Ness' unconscious throat, which would help in healing her arm and dealing with all the unpleasantness of having been smacked across the head.

This should be avoided until we return to Shaintaio for the same reasons as before. As you recall, we are believed to be in the Wild Lands still. What do you propose people think if we suddenly and inexplicably are seen elsewhere? Loki answered as he began walking towards Port Letosh. Soon after he telegraphed this, however, a small smile crept across his face as a thought struck him. Actually, we can have our hearing restored in the Wild Lands, as we return to 'report back' to that base. Our lack of hearing can be explained by the fact that Jessica had "defected", and before she made her escape, attacked us with a loud noise. This way, we raise no suspicion, while demonising her in the process.
Ness choked a bit as Jess caused her to down the canteen. Due to being freed of the mind control, her eyes hurt a bit as she opened them, wincing a bit as she tried to move her arm. [small] "That thing... still tastes bad... but thanks.." [/small] She said, keeping her eyes closed for the moment.

This is a minor nuisance. You will need to use your control over earth to elevate us to a point where we can jump over the wall. Having said that, Loki backed off a bit, and looked around, eventually pointing to the east side of the wall. There would be a decent place to do so.

The Rookie sat back against a wall and sighed, looking up at the night sky. He took his datapad, and checked the UNSC network for intel on how the battle was going. It wasn't pretty. The Covenant had brought in another fleet right after the event that sent the Rookie to another dimension, and this fleet had begun glassing the area around the city. Due to heavy Covenant presence, and failing infrastructure, the coms couldn't cut through in the city. Therefore, not much was known about what was going on in the city.

Jessica couldn't hear what Ness had said to her, but still smiled a bit when she started moving her mouth, taking it as a sign that she was at least conscious once again. She sighed and sat down next to Ness, still generally feeling and looking beaten up and terrible. She winced a bit as Rookie threw his datapad against the ground. Having finally reached a moment where she was somewhat capable of composing her thoughts, she started quietly sobbing to herself.
After Rita was done forming a hill that rested against the wall, Loki climbed it and jumped over, bending his knees upon landing to dampen the shock of the fall. Then, he stuffed the scepter under the belt that ran over his chest and held out his arms to catch Rita when she would jump down.
Ness simply continued to lie there, moving her arm and wincing a bit at the lingering pain. Seeing that Jessica was crying, her friend blinked a bit before struggling to reach up and hug her, trying to help her friend out the best she could in her current state.
Setting Rita down, Loki turned around and retrieved his scepter, then looked around for a moment to see where exactly the ships were docked, having largely forgotten this from the last time he and Rita were in Port Letosh. It being hard to miss, Loki began walking towards it.

Jessica leaned in closer to Ness as she noticed she was trying to hug her to give her an easier time of it. She then buried her face in her palms and started muttering, "...Horrible...I'm just horrible..." though her pronunciation sounded off on account of not being able to hear herself. She started to shudder as she cried even harder.
