Once Loki and Rita arived at the piers, Loki looked around to see if there were any ships that still had crew on them. While these were few and far between, one that stood out was a small fishing boat, as lights still burned in the cabin. Loki boarded the boat, motioning for Rita to follow. As he entered the cabin, the captain of the boat turned around when he heard the door opening. Before he could say anything, however, Loki placed him under his control, then revealed himself and Rita to the captain. "Set out to the Wild Lands." he commaned.

"Sure sure why you'd want to go there, but alright."

Ness looked over at her friend, confused by what she was muttering. Seeing as Jess had been given her pendant, Ness calmly moved it into her hands before tapping her own choker. After a few attempts, Ness managed to telegraph to her friend in place of their usual mental link. "...What do you mean... horrible?"

As the migraine began to set in, Ness dropped back onto the floor, wincing in pain.

 

[Chungus]

OoC @Dot: BTW, I forgot. Since Ness was de-MC'd, she'd be having a migraine.

 

[Furioso]

Rita hopped in the boat and found a place to sit.

Jessica looked at the necklace Ness had put in her hands for a moment before clutching it tightly. It took her a while to try and focus enough to respond to Ness, but once she finally did, she replied with, "...I did so many horrible things...so many people are dead because of me now...I...I even..." Her mind went to the moment where she brutally struck Ine, at which point she broke down into tears again.

 

[Kirke]

The Rookie saw Ness dropping back on the floor and sighed. After a moment, he got up and headed over to a nearby wall-mounted station. He picked a medpack from it and rummaged through it while walking over to Ness and Jessica. He handed the pack to Jessica, not sure why Ness was in such pain.

Still struggling with the migraine, it took a while for Ness to respond. When it did come through, her thoughts seemed pained. "...You didn't... do it willingly. ...We... both know that. He controlled both of us.. and you're not alone in that... I killed a lot... of people... even though... the time was so short..."

She kept clutching her head in the meantime, the pain in her arm and head beginning to subside a bit more.

 

[Chungus]

As the boat sailed towards the Wild Lands, Loki stood next to Rita and telegraphed to her. It would be beneficial to think of a coherent story, in case we are asked of it separately. What I suggest as followed: We set out towards the badlands, looking for a trace of those missing scouts, finding little, yet not wishing to give up so readily, we set up camp there. After two days, we noticed Jessica operating her pendant in a suspicious fashion, and when we asked her about this, she attacked us, utilising a loud noise. After we were rendered incapacitated, she teleported to we know not where. Anything you wish to add to this?

 

[Furioso]

After some thought Rita responded Not at the moment, can't think of anything else.

Then this much is decided.

Time skip.
Being hardly built for speed, the fishing boat arived at the Wild Lands after a long time. While Loki couldn't hear the captain call out that the had arived, he did noticed the boat had stopped. Leaving the cabin, Loki hopped overboard without so much as giving a second glance at the captain, then began walking towards the Xiphatian base.

Jessica looked up at the Rookie handing her a medical kit with bloodshot eyes. She wondered why he would do that, then looked over and noticed Ness seeming to be in pain. Sucking up her own issues for a moment, she took the medical kit and opened it up. She managed to find some painkillers, which she offered to Ness before clutching her amulet again and sighing. "...I'm sorry...I got you dragged into all this...You shouldn't have had to do any of that...I'm so sorry..."

 

[Furioso]

Rita hopped out of the boat and followed after Loki.

Ness popped a few of the painkillers before sighing a bit in relief and sitting herself up, still clutching her head a bit. "Don't be... Had I not been so stubborn... I would've been able to free you..." She sighed a bit as well before looking toward Jess. "So... those things you did when he had control over you still bother you... right? ..I-I mean... they'd bother anyone..."

 

[Chungus]

After a little while of walking, Loki and Rita reached the Xiphatian base besides the lake. Fafnir was roughly at the same place where Loki had left her, although she had obviously moved, having undone the knot of her reins with tearing them apart.
Loki walked up to the guards outside the base, saying, "It has taken us a while, but we have returned. If you would take us to the captain." Again, Loki pronounciation was off due to being unable to hear his own words, this making the guards raise an eyebrow. Regardless, he motioned for Loki and Rita to follow, which Loki did.

 

[Furioso]

As they walked Rita asked, her pronunciation also off "Oh, and we need a healer please."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Don't blame yourself...it's my fault for getting...controlled...like that to begin with..." Jessica thought to Ness as she placed her free hand on her friend's shoulder. Though after Ness looked at her and 'spoke' again, her hand slid off. "...Of course it bothers me...this is the first time I've had a clear enough head to think about what I've been doing..." She brought her knees in close and wrapped her arms around them. "What are we even supposed to do now?..."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness crawled to the side of Jess as she scratched the back of her head in response. "...We might be able to ask Tophat for help at some point. ...I don't think we'd be able to stop them on our own."

She paused a bit before bowing her head down. "...Maybe even letting them win might be alright... As long as you don't have to get hurt anymore..."

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica let her right arm hit the pavement she was sitting on. "...I don't care what even happens to me anymore...I deserve whatever injuries I take from here on out..." She started clenching her right hand, which started digging into and cracking the asphalt. "...I don't want what I did to be right...and I can't go back home until I've finished what I've started here..." After clenching her fist completely, she held it for a moment before sighing and releasing. "We need to find Tophat..."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness looked over toward Jess as she cracked the ground, surprised. "...You're... sure about this. ...Then like I said before... I'll help you see this through until the end." She smiled a bit to herself as she looked up at the sky. "Yes, we do... but how?"

 

[Chungus]

As he couldn't hear Rita, and was walking too far infront of her to see her mouth move, Loki had no clue she had mentioned needing a healer already, and thus repeated it. "And we will be needing a healer. I am afraid he have lost our hearing."

The guard that was leading Loki and Rita along stopped and turned around. That explains the wierd talking. He turned to the right and motion for the duo to follow again. Eventually reaching the healing ward, he motioned towards the beds, then turned to the healer present. "These two have gone deaf."

The healer present hmm'd. "Loss of one's senses is a difficult thing to restore. Next to imposible, in some cases. But I'll see what I can do." The healer first walked over to Rita, and after taking a moment to remember the anatomy of the inner ear, healed the damage done. The sudden return of hearing would make her feel uncomfortable as her brain adjusted to once again processing all the sounds. Once done, the healer walked over and healed Loki, who groaned when the procedure was done.
