Jessica breathed out deeply before turning and facing Ness. "Thank you...it means a lot that you're still willing to help me...Are you feeling alright though?...I don't think you should push yourself..." She put her necklace back on so she wouldn't have to keep holding it, then tried to stand up. She was still a little dizzy, so she was somewhat wobbly and had to brace herself against the wall. "First thing's first...we should find out where we are...I don't think this is the same dimension..." She looked over at the Rookie and was about to go over and tap him on the shoulder, but then she remembered something. "Um...Could you maybe ask that guy where we are?..."
"The discomfort you're feeling should decrease in twenty minutes, and it should be gone in the next hour." the healer remarked.
Loki hopped off the bed, a bit wobbily. "I thank you for your time." he said to the healer, speaking with a strained voice, then turned to the guard. "I think it will not be necessary to meet with the captain. For we have not anything to truly report, save for the fact that we wound not a trace of the missing scouts."
The guard hmm'd. "Alright. I'll have this passed along. Thank you for the effort anyway." After a pause, the guard turned around, and began healing out of the ward. "I'll be escorting you back outside now then."
Loki said nothing as he followed the guard. Once outside, he walked over to Fafnir.

The Rookie was standing a few meters away with his back to Jessica and Ness. He appeared to have thrown away all military protocol, as he was standing in the open upright. He wasn't carrying his SMG, which laid next to the datapad. Instead, he was clenching both hands, the lightning and fire reflecting in his armour. The datapad was on, and a UNSC logo accompanied the military report detailing what had happened above New Mombasa.
Ness shook her head as she stood up, wobbling a small bit and squinting, her eyes still not adjusting to the sensitivity to light. "I'll be fine... Just another thing I need to adjust to... Right... we need to get your hearing fixed as soon as we can... I can't do anything about that sadly..."
She nodded toward her friend's question before walking toward the datapad Rookie had thrown. She picked it up and began to read it. "It looks like we're in the Corporal's home dimension... and things haven't gone well..."

"Them? No. I would have if ask what had caused our deafness, but this was not so. Instead, we shall tell the story to one higher up. After all, we did not conquer a nation, only to refrain from using its connections. We shall have them do what we originally intended to do when we murdered Garzic. That is, spread the news of a being intending to bring down the nation. Or in this case, a group, rather then a singular entity. Should either Jessica or Vanessa return, they will find their reception to be chilly." Loki answered, turning to Rita. He raised an eyebrow upon seeing the state she was in. This seems familiar. "You do not look well." Saying this, Loki's voice carried a hint of something that could be interpreted as worry.
Jessica sighed as she heard Ness response. "I don't think there's much that can even be done about my hearing...besides, I don't want to waste time on something like that..." Jessica was still incapable of hearing Ness' speech. She turned herself and leaned up against the wall so she could look at Ness. "Find anything yet?..."
"Sorry... I keep forgetting... We're in a place known as New Mombasa... and it's in the Corporal's dimension since it seems reports of what happened here are being displayed here. I'll ask him more about it... And if all else fails, I can use the clip to get us back to that world." Ness telegraphed to Jess before walking over to the Rookie. "Excuse me, Corporal... You know this place, right?"
"Your complexion appears to have lost some of its vibrance. In addition, you have dark rings under your eyes, much like what has happened to myself. And, this was not so but a few hours ago." Loki explained, although his tone had returned to normal.
"Had I known this, I would have remedied it already. But, if you feel well, then whatever ails you, and what does me are likely not the same things." Loki answered Rita, mounting Fafnir after stroking the dragon's nose as a greeting. Once in the saddle, he held out a hand towards Rita to help her up.
The Rookie grabbed the datapad quite violently and pulled up the amount of people who lived on Earth. Several billions, a large majority of them civilians. He zoomed out the map, and Ness would see that of the hundreds of systems once owned by the UNSC, precious few remained. The Rookie let the datapad drop to the ground, and he pointed up in the sky before making a slitting move across his throat.
"Oh, so this is that guy's home..." Jessica looked around at her surroundings a bit and sighed. "Not in great shape...Is he gonna be coming back with us?...I can understand either way to be perfectly honest...Could you do me a favor and tell him I said 'thanks'?...I don't want it coming out all weird like it probably would if I said it..."
