Noel and Charlotte would pass many houses, all full of people. Parents, children, family pets. There were probably a lot of happy and sad stories in those houses. Heartbreak and hearts melted.

"Sounds good, that will be 30 Gold. Will there be anyone staying with you?" Paprika asked adjusting her bonnet.

OoC: Saya and Tao are walking to find the others right? Not in a city anymore?

Yukino notices the ground changing and pauses for a moment. [color=bb66bb] I don't think... this is the way toward that little skirmish that prick Blake told me about. Well... whatever, hopefully there's something to do at this Rockbyrd place... [/color] She shrugs and continues on the path, barely phased by the rocky terrain.

Ness waved back at both Jess and Echo as they did to her. "Then I trust we're all set to go then, correct?"

Loki frowned in annoyance upon hearing the responce of whoever it was in the building. Although he wished to kick down the door and demand to be heard, that would be quite the opposite of keeping a low profile. Instead, he turned and looked around. Most of the buildings he could see from the steps leading up of the Department of Forestry's door were small, presumably houses. There were two other larger buildings near the DoF, built of either side of a clearing. Loki decided to first check out the building on the west, wich he soon noted was a bar. Seeing people inside, and much to his suprise recognising someone, Loki entered also.

"This is quite the coincidence. I had not expected to meet any familiar faces." he said to Rita, walking up to her.

In Lakewest, Chafla was stood near the inns, shouting about how the lake was cursed, and that it was spawning monsters like he had been before. As the citizens of Lakewest passed him, no one paid him much mind apart form the occasional annoyed grunt.

The woman turned around, then spotted Jessica, Echo and Ness, and simply stared. After a few moments, she raised her left hand and said, in a very serious tone, "I have now found... a catgirl. This is officially the bestest day ever. Please mark the calendar."

"Nope, it's just me in that room."
He handed over the sum of money.

Charlotte sighed with a bit of sorrow in her tone. Charlotte could really care less. Still, they continued to just walk around the area, seeing things.

"Simple, you are speak direct to my consciousness directly by sending your ideas through the magic link I'm using to contact your consciousness. To put it another way, as my companion said, it is 'telepathy'"

Tophat searched its memory for a few minutes, then spoke again.
(To Makoto: Aha! Yes, that was about 700 years ago, give or take. Sorry, it takes time for me to think back so far.)

Saya gave a 'tsk' and shook her head. "uptight...humans..." Saya commented to Tao.

Makoto took Tophat, then looked at Cynane. "Thanks, but he probably allready has someone carryiong him around." She looked at the hat. "700 years?! Wow, youve been around a while, huh?"

In time, Yukino would see the city of Rockbyrd in the distance, sitting at the base of a mountain. If her eyes were really good she might spot a large white building slightly up the mountain.

"Very well then, sir. I wish you a pleasant stay." Paprika walks over to select a key from among many and brings it back to Dal'Sheen. "Room 222 on the second floor."

Noel and Charlotte may notice that each house was a different color, but there wasn't much else particularly special about them besides the occasional strange lawn ornament. Like one, rather expensive looking house had a wooden statue of an angel, a winged woman on it.

OoC: @Hatch: Sorry about that. Are they still in Winterhorn? I'll point them in the right direction if you want me to.

(To Makoto: Yes. I've been using magic I learned at the college of Winterhold to keep myself in relatively good shape, though sadly I can't do that anymore...)

Lyra eventually spotted Chafla, and approached him, shoulders back and looking pissed. "You know, you should mention something when the target is a religious deity." she said as she closed with him.

Noel tilted her head at the winged woman ornament as Charlotte frowned at it. "Why the grandeur?"

"Hmmm... Maybe it means something for the locals?" A part of Noel's helmet, primarily the visor part, manifested at her eyes as she zoomed in to see if there was any significant writing or anything on the ornament.

Jessica nodded to Echo as she came out of the back room. "We should be now." Jessica replied to Ness. She glanced out the window and noticed the woman in the black trenchcoat staring at her, holding her hand up, and talking to herself. "Good thing too, that lady out there is giving me the creeps." She stepped outside the store, indicating she was ready to leave when everyone else was, and did her best to not make eye contact with the woman who was staring at her.

Cynane grinned.
"Yeah, apparently the guy in the weird armour there is carrying him. And his name is James. Huh. This is kind of comfy, actually." Cynane clasped her hands across her waist, locked her feet into the saddle and relaxed, listening to what was going on as the Aptonoth's swaying back rocked her. Beside Makoto in the cart, the wild man had fallen asleep, his hands and face twitching restlessly.

OOC: That's it for me. Well, that was the first time I've really gotten going properly in this thread. I'm looking forward to expanding on my feral hermit now.

"Thank you most kindly." He says with a smile. He walks up the stairs to go to his room.

He takes off his suit to wear some basic clothing and lie down on the bed.
"By the maker I've needed a lie down." He sighed as he opened up his journal to sketch the room he was in.

The woman walked over to Jessica quickly, trying to suppress a grin, and hide the two massive revolvers on her belt.
"Are... are your ears real?" she asked as seriously as possible.
"That may be a bit rude to ask a stra-" a voice started to say, when the yellow glow around the woman's hand vanished, cutting the man off.
