"Thank you." Jessica replied to the receptionist, giving them an appreciative nod as she walked off. Finding the tablet, she went through the information she could find on it, skimming through it all as she looked for a facsimile of a 'want ads' section, as she was hoping to use it to find some way to make some money.

OOC: @Saltyk. Well, at least I know I'm on some sort of track. But I definitely will keep looking around. I'm surprised I'm the only person interested in this mini-quest.

"We're pretty much in the town... We can just walk back to the Hotel we were staying at. I'm pretty sure they won't recognize you." Savranth replied.

The mechanic started up the engine. The entire process was remarkably quiet and the engine didn't even seem to shake. Or even give off much heat.

Jessica would find several help wanted ads, but they would likely require her to work for a long time to earn any money. As she looked through them, she may come across ads for the local bar's card game, Granite Pass Quarry work, or a Professor Howard Soto's lab assistant in Port Letosh.

"Why, yes. Yes, I am. How may I be of service, master?" The manager asked.

OoC: @Slenn: Hey, we tried. Seriously, this is about 30% script, 50% making it up on the spot, and 20% foreshadowing at this point. One reason we can do as much as we have as easily as we have is that we planned multiple paths and Nail and Zeph asked lots of questions as we went.

"I'd rather give it a day to cool off. If you feel you'd be fine though, go right ahead. Just avoid stepping on Xyleena as you leave. Now Marcus, did you have a copy of the report I requested on tge claymore?" Lyra asked, bringing up her bracer's display. Marcus nodded stuck into his work, and she quickly downloaded it from the ship.

"Fascinating... and you said this was only 45% energy efficient?"

"What I wish is as followed. I want twenty percent of this establishment's daily income henceforth. The only time when this is not the case is when you no longer have enough to keep this store open, in wich case I shall refrain from claiming anything until such a time this changes." Loki stated, then took another bite of his sandwich.

@Slenn: Well my character might have joined in, but unfortunately I had no opportunity to come along.

Of course...barely anything here worth noting. Jessica thought as she sighed over her limited options. Might as well keep these interesting looking ones in mind though. She thought as she looked at the ads for the card game, Quarry work and lab assistant job more closely to discern more details.

"As you say..." Savranth starts to walk off. "Let me ask you all one question. Why have you all come here?"

The Heavenly Honor 14 on the Rocks bar and grill annual card game.  Come try your hand at winning large sums of Credits.  Drinks are on the house, just bring you poker face and 150 Credits.  Ask for Hal, at the bar.

Come work for the Granite Pass Quarry Association.  Good pay, three meals a day, free board, and benefits.  

Looking for a new assistant after the last one lost their stomach for the work.  Great pay.  Dental.  Looks good on applications.

"Ya, it's 45% energy efficient. And I hear that the military has developed more efficient engines. The mechs have a 60% efficient engine, but I hear they are trying to make even more efficient ones. The Armored Valkyrie's exosuit supposed has insane efficiency. Or that's the rumor. A grease monkey like me will never get to work on that woman's suit." The mechanic replied.

"I came because the Long Fang requested it. Besides, its the Great Hunt. No idea what kind of tech or trophies we could collect here. Xyleena just came because she's hoping to find a kindred soul, the poor girl. Bit lonely being the only sentient Xenomorph." Marcus explained, slowly and carefully replacing wires in the voice projector.

"Yes. A question and a statement. Fistly, what is the currency of this nation called. Secondly, should anyone happen to ask what I came here looking to make a investment, but decided against doing so in the end, believing the investment to be too high a risk."

"Womans suit? What do you mean? What's the Armored Valkyrie?"

Jessica noted the details of each job. This card game could be promising. I wonder if any of the others managed to get some money I could borrow to get into it? She thought to herself. Out of curiosity, Jessica went back to the news section on the tablet and idly browsed through the articles to see if anything interesting had recently happened in the world.

"I see. So this is for sport?" Savranth asked for clarification.

War has been declared!
Following a brutal attack by Xiphatian forces some months ago, Legaia has officially declared war.  Forces are currently being amassed for a two pronged counter attack.  However, Xiphatia has already continued their invasion efforts and attacked Pewtercove.  Captain Astasis, the Defense Commander for the West Coast could not be reached for comment.

Prime Minister Sebastion Buche has officially decried the attack and vowed to avenge our fallen citizens.

Madiline, the Prime Minister's wife, has began taking donations for those hurt in the conflict.

"The armored Valkyrie. Don't they teach you kids anything? She's the Admiral of the Legaian navy. Idula. Even the strongest of Xiphatia fear her name alone." The mechanic replied.

"The currency here are known as Credits. Here, allow me to give you a card with some credits on it." The manager looks in his desk for a spare Credit Card and hands it to Loki. "That one has 500 Credits on it, sir. I shall transfer Credits to that card for you remotely from now on. And I will tell anyone who asks that you came looking to invest and decided against it."
