The man slowly wandered around the base, looking at each building. To a casual observer, he would seem to be merely memorising the locations of the different buildings to find quick routes around. However, upon closer inspection, one might have noticed that he was paying less attention to signage and other identifying markers, paying more attention to the walls and doors, looking for structural weaknesses, as well as trying to locate hiding places and blind-spots, and looking for signs of heavy foot traffic and patrols.
Those big rock things are probably going to be a problem if shit goes down. People, I can kill. Them... no fucking clue how to do it. But first... I really should find some clothes.

"From what I've been able to learn its another world entirely. Since you don't know where you are I can assume the same is true for you. This is some kind of military base."

OOC: I'm back as well.

Cynane was sitting outside her tent in her simple hide-tailored clothing, watching the guards and golems mistrustfully as she looked through a sheaf of maps tattooed onto vellum sheets. The Aptonoth had lifted its head and was also gazing peacably around the camp. Noticing the man with the handcuffs from the night before, Cynane tracked his progress, intrigued by the man who had survived impossible wounds.

"A millitary base..." The man was quiet for a second, as if thinking, then he turned and looked at Rita suddenly. "Oh, my bad. Almost forgot to introduce myself." He held out a hand. "I'm Laguna."

Laguna was once a soldier for the imperialist nation of Galbadia. However, when he was wounded and declared Missing In Action, he was nursed back t health by the residents of a small village. Deciding to stay, Laguna became one of the guards patrolling the town, protecting it from monster attack, eventually marrying a local and adopting a small girl. When the girl was kidnapped, Laguna went on a year-long journey around the world to find her. Despite getting her back safe, Laguna never returned, due to becoming president of another nation during his trip and having to stay there. At some unknown point, the Goddess of Harmony Cosmos pulled him into another world to serve as one of her warriors.

Spoiler: Personality

Laguna is good through and through. He avoids fights if possible, and acts very fatherly to his allies, trying to help them at all times. When pushed however, he will fight long and hard to protect what he cares about. Despite seeming idiotic and being very goofy, he is quite cunning and perceptive. Sometimes, if he is nervous, his leg cramps up and he needs a second to get it back to normal.

Spoiler: Abilities

Tactical Gunner: During his time serving Cosmos, Laguna gained quasi-magical abilities. He has the ability to almost instantly summon and dismiss any firearm he?s previously used at will, along with a stationary energy shield, grenades, various rocket launchers, sticky bombs and unlimited amounts of rope.
Look, the Faeries are here! : While it is unclear exactly how it works, Laguna poses the ability to, at certain times, upgrade his gun-based magic. His weapons gain a gold glow, and he can summon and dismiss them even faster than normal or even during mid-attack. This supermode also gives him access to his ultimate attack, Desperado.

Assault Rifle: While he can summon any firearm he has used previously, he favours his Galbadian assault rifle. It is fully automatic with a 30-round clip. Due to his gun-based magic, he can summon and dismiss it at will, it never breaks or jams, it is hardened enough to be used as a club in melee combat, and it never runs out of ammo.
Ragnarok Cannon: Laguna?s most powerful weapon, the Ragnarok Cannon is a large laser cannon capable of destroying almost anything. It as three firing modes: a concentrated laser beam, an energy ball that fragments into cluster of smaller homing energy balls, and a laser blade. The cannon is very heavy and requires two hands to operate, slowing Laguna down considerably.

OOC: I noticed. Good work, soldier. Now, if only I still had time to RP at my leisure. I've got a few hours now, but after that... I have about a week where I'll have to focus on retaking lost ground, college-wise.

OOC: Eh, I always get almost nothing done in the first few days, until people start to warm to my characters more and II find it easier to start up decent interaction. Since Cynane is outside the main building now I guess there won't be much interaction coming, so I guess I'll just fill ou that character sheet you put together.

"...You know you seem to be taking all of this pretty well, does this happen to you often?"

Dal'Sheed woke up and got himself dressed in his Maintainer Suit. He had his own food to eat from his pouch. Something to eat that's familiar at least.

"Now where is everyone..." He said out loud. He wandered outside of the Barracks an into the Main Halls to see if anyone was there.

"Well..." Laguna was quiet. "...come to think of it, I have a feeling something like this has happened before, but... I can't remember anything..." His smile dropped for a second.

The man finished wandering around the base, and spotted two figures from the other day, just outside the main building; Cynane and Dal'Sheed.
"Eh, may as well try."
He jogged over to Dal'Sheed and tried to get his attention as politely as possible.

Rita closed her book "Really? Mind telling me what led to you coming here?"

 

[Slenn]

"It's the miracle regenerator." He half joked. "How have you been?"

"I dunno... I just woke up on the floor." Laguna put his hand to his chin, thinking. "Kinda weird."

"Just trying to find my way around. Don't want to accidentally walk into a restricted zone on my way to the bathroom. Anyway, I was wondering... do you happen to have any spare clothes that might fit me? My last set... well, you were there."

Watching the man follow Dal'Sheed into the great block that was this town's great hall, Cynane sighed and got to her feet, leavingher maps on top of the large chest outside her tent.
"Might as well check it out, huh?" She said to Stripe, who only lowed in response. Grabbing a large hunting knife and slipping it into her belt, she went after Dal'Sheed and the handcuffed man.

Tiberius was in his office, contemplating the report from the previous day.

Volarian walked around the base conducting an inspection of the soldiers on duty. Making sure those that on duty were conducting them to the fullest. Eventually making his way to some soldiers that were working on some odd floating contraption, shaped sort of like a ball on a platform.

"Are the turrets operation, yet?"
One of the soldiers who was supervising the work, looked to him. "No, sergeant. They won't be up and running for a while longer. We had to shut them all down due to maintenance concerns, so..."
"Yes, I know. Someone was not performing their duties properly. Any idea how much longer till they will all be back up?"
The soldier looked a bit sheepish and then said, "Well, sir, I think they'll all be back up within a day."
"Make it half a day."
"Y-Yes, sir." He said with a salute.

With that, Volarian continued his patrol.

"You heard the sergeant. Double TIME!"

 

[Slenn]

"Ooooh yes, that's right." He thought for a bit. "Well, we could ask the receptionist. I'm sure theres some stuff in the Barracks. Do you at least have something to cover up whatever you don't want to share with the world just yet?"

"Shorah, Cynane." He said, a common greeting among his kind.
