"Well, I'm immortal. I'm not really sure how it works either. All I know is, I can heal from anything. I've been shot, stabbed, drowned, set on fire, pushed off a massive building and, as you saw the other day, exploded. My body just... grows back."

"Lots more." The bazooka vanished, and Laguna looked around. "But I'd prefer not to show my entire arsenal right now, ok? Don't want to give people the wrong idea." He noticed a girl in a cat hood a way off scarfing down a mountain of food, and another girl near her. "More people, huh?"

"Tao's got her food already, meow. Thanks cook man!" Tao said as she stopped eating just long enough to say this sentence. She then went back to eating.

Echo watched Tao curiously.

"Well, the city that I come from is completely underground. The city itself is pretty spacious. But since it's underground, only the wealthier get large halls in their buildings."

As Noel ended her practice, she decided to grab something to eat before the day really started. Seeing Charlotte she walked over to her, saying. "I sense that you had regained something or other?"

"My name, and that I was taken by the UNC Government to be a Vanguard." she said bitterly. "You are a Warden aren't you?"

Noel simply nodded, as the two made their way into the mess hall. "Why the hell is this group growing in size?" she said aloud.

Noel's helmet popped up again as it retracting into the armor and hair clips.

"Incredible! The Elders tell stories of great hunters and warriors of olden times who were able to shrug off any sword blow or wyvern's bite even with no armour, but I always thought that was just a load of Popo crap!Cynane exclaimed, forgetting about her apprehension in her amazement. I... I never thought I'd actually meet someone who could do it! Does it still hurt? I mean, I know it must hurt when something like that happens, but does it last long?" She heard Dal'Sheed continue to explain and turned to him, well used to holding multiple conversations in a crowded gathering hall.

"A city underground... built in caves, I take it? They must be enormous! My people only build small holds, huts and halls. We use whatever we can gather from the land. They're usually cozy, but they'd only ever have one or two open spaces inside. None of these little corridors."

"Fine, I doubt it would have been helpful anyways." Rita looked over to where Laguna was looking "A bunch of people ended up here. Couple of weirdos dressed up in animal ear and tail costumes, some creepy girl who's really into hunting, and a fat, clueless knight just to name a few."

"Hmm..." Laguna was quiet for a second, then shrugged. "I got a feeling we're gonna be here for a while. Might as well, try and make freinds, right?" He smiled at Rita, then walked over to the girl in the cat hood.

"The pain only lasts as long as the wound. I barely notice small cuts and bruises now, they heal so fast. Getting a limb chopped off, or being tossed into a fire... that hurts. The big problem with losing body parts is that you have a massive wound until the whole thing is regrown. And that can take a while." the man explains.

 

[Saltyk]

One of the soldiers on the wall, working on the turrets, looked to the side, and stared off in the distance for a moment. He stood and shouted into the base. "RAID!"

As he did the wall below him, exploded. And several more of the mechs the group had seen before raced in, with many more soldiers coming in behind.

With the sudden attack, the Xiphataian soldiers and Golems quickly moved to repel the attack, but due to the lack of warning and low number of soldiers, this would prove even more difficult. Already some of the mech opened fire on a Wind Golem decimating it with their heavy fire.

Savranth awoke for the sound of explosions and gunfire. He absentmindedly grabbed the pistol and holster as he ran out to meet the attack

Noel took two rather large courses of food as she and Charlotte sat a few tables away from the group.

"You know that if you don't eat, you'll get headaches."
"I only gained back alittle of my memory, not the entire thing."

The two started eating silently.... Until the raid call was heard. Immediately getting up, the two dashed towards the battle.

@Salty: I'm up.

 

[Slenn]

"It's been that way for at least 4000 years since our exodus. The main city is inside a giant cavern that's surrounded by a lake of water. The only entrance is a giant archway. Much of the residences are crowded."

He heard the alarm.
"Looks like you're going to have to get clothes quickly. Go ahead and get them before you get into combat!"

He sees the mechs, and equips the fire marble launcher.

@Salty: I am. Just to get my bearings, what direction are the barracks in (north, south, east or west?)

At the sound of fighting, the man looked up.
"Shit. Anybody got a weapon? Or a book?"

Tao leaned down on the table in front of her and gave a deep sigh. "Ahhhh. That was really good, meow. Now I'm all full!" she said with a smile. "Say, why is this place all noisy again?" she added with a frown.

Echo left what she was eating and got under a table when she heard the gunfire..

Cynane shuddered at the sound of combat.
Oh no... more of this?" She glanced at the immortal.
If you mean to get stuck in, come with me. I could lend you a weapon... and a few things to take care of any big wounds you might get."

As Laguna walked away Rita shrugged Friends? Why? she thought
When she heard the explosion Rita took off her necklace and set it on the table "Damn, not now..." She waved her hand over the gem imbedded in the necklace and a small projection of a keyboard and screen appeared in front of it, displaying symbols and words that would be foreign to everyone else. She began typing furiously.

On route to the stranger, Laguna heard the sound of gunfire. He ran outside to check it out, summoning his machine gun.

The man looked at Dal'Sheed as he prepared to run for the barracks.
"Good plan. And, if you really need my help, just call out my name."
He began to run, then suddenly realised, only people from his world would know that.
"Which is Adam, by the way."

Awakened by the sound of the Xiphatian soldier shouting "raid!" Loki quickly climbed out of bed and walked towards the exit of the barracks. As he walked, his clothes once again shimmered with an orange glow, and once this died down, it was revealed that his sleeping clothes had been swapped for his regular attire.

It would seem the other soldiers are out for vengeance. Mortals and their petty squabels. But at least it is slightly amusising to watch
Before Loki reached the exit, he turned invisible.

Seeing Adam decline to follow her and pick up the items that she had offered, Cynane shrugged and sprinted off through the corridors, bursting out into the open area in front of the main building. Heading for her tent she kicked open her chest and pulled out a beautiful lance and shield that looked as though they were made from the fins of some giant lionfish. At the end of the spear's shaft and around the rim of the shield, the fins and spines formed a pair of sharp, jagged discs. A clear liquid coated the spearhead.

"Plesioth, who glides silently beneath green waters. Drag my enemies helplessly down into sleep." She muttered to the weapon, before turning and slipping the shield onto her left arm, then dashing off to find the enemy's flank.
