"There's one West of this location, sirs. Lakewest, located on Lake Tora. There's also a Legaian town on the Southern shore.... Pewtercove I think it is called." The Raccoon beastkin replied. "I'm not sure either is wise to travel to right now, and if you don't mind, I'd like to close up here. It's late."

"Ah yes, the night cycle has started hasn't it? Well, it appears that I won't be doing much more in here. You said there were others who came recently? Do you know where they went?"

Sasha looked around the shower area, or at least what looked like what could be showers. The idea of a nice hot shower sounded so good, yet, she looked over at the doorway, half expecting someone to just walk in at any moment. Too many 'What Ifs' were going through her mind. She eventually decided to just use the faucet and wash her face, using a towel she'd found in the bathroom.

She then went off to find a bed, she found a smaller bed room which seemed to have no one in it. She slipped into the room, locked the door. With a deep sigh, she got undressed, wincing as she had landed on her tail bone funny when she'd first entered this world. She then curled up with the sheets of the bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Yatjua? What's that? Some sort of hunting order?" Jessica asked, her curiosity overcoming how unnerved she was by how much of Lyra's outfit consisted of dead animals. She breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing what Lyra said about the skulls. "So what are they then? The skulls I mean? They're fairly convincing if they're replicas."

 

[Chungus]

"Then I will refrain from doing so for the time being. Is there a place where I might find sone bedding? I would rather not sleep out in the open, on the dirt."

Volarian entered the Main Building having finished getting the Barracks cleaned up for the visitors.

Seeing him enter, the Secretary addressed him. "Sergeant Volarian. Can you tell these men where they might sleep for the night?"

He stopped and looked a bit confused. "I Thought the General would have told them that he had me prep the Barracks in the back of the compound for them."

"There you go, sir. The Barracks at the back of the compound can be used to sleep. There should be plenty of room. Please try to make yourselves comfortable."

OoC: @Sable: I'm going to have to work out the bugs, but if you check the second post of the thread there is a Codex. It includes a map of the compound.

"Yatjua is... Its a little difficult to explain. They started out as a race of hunters, the greatest in the galaxy. But, as they grew they encountered other species that were skilled like them, so they invited them into the folds of the hunt. It's mostly just the original Yatjua race, but a few humans and other species are a part of the group." she then reaches down to her belt, and removes one of the skulls, before lobbing it into the air. Small afterburners built into the skull's base activated, keeping it aloft. A small barrel protruded from the skulls grinning mouth. "Nice hidden gun turrets. I can remotely control them from my sniper, and they have a firing range of 2000 meters before they need to get closer. If I select a target, they'll hunt him down and take him out."

ooc: @Saltyk I saw the map, it seems to work just fine

"Sergeant is it? I've no need for sleep, and since you seem to be the one with the most authority in this room, I wish to inquire what I may do to help while the others slumber."

"Once more, I thank you for your time. My appolagies that my curiousity has kept you from your duties for so long." Loki said to the reseptionist with a slight bow, then left the main building. Looking around, he spotted the road that he saw leading to the baracks when he first entered the base, but didn't go there just yet, rather, he approached Jessica and Lyra, but kept his distance and silence for the time being.

 

[Saltyk]

"There's no need for that. We have sentries posted to set the alarm should anything happen. If you want, I suppose you could help them, but that is not something I think the General would ask of you. You have no need to assist us, if you are not from our nation. Though, you weren't with the others when I met them. How did you get here?" Volarian replied.

"Sergeant..?" The Secretary asked him rather plaintively.

"Yes, go on to bed. You're here past your shift, as it is."

"I came here via a trans-universal portal housed in the barony of Castlewood, Sergeant."

ooc: @Saltyk Which thing? I see the character bios of the characters, and I skimmed some of them, and I see the base and world maps, which I see the town she was talking about on. What did you want me to quote and look at?

Jessica nodded her head as she listened to Lyra explain the Yatjua. "Interesting." I wonder if she'd know any of the Migrant Races? She seemed considerably less interested in the flying skull guns. "I suppose that is somewhat clever." She commented. Remembering something from before, she asked Lyra, "Earlier I remember you mentioning something, a 'Great Hunt' or something like that? Can you tell me more about that?" She either didn't notice Loki, or didn't seem to care about him being there for the moment.

 

[Saltyk]

"I see. Well... I don't think I caught your name, but if you don't mind I need to take my leave and go to bed as well." Volarian replied.

OoC: @Sable: It's bigger than the post shows. Also includes space for Plot and terms of interest. And it doesn't show anyone past Furi so I think Outis and Slenn are not seen.

"My name is Sir Sable, and I unless you have something else you wish me to do, I shall return to Castlewood and be back tomorrow."

"Oh. Yeah, that. Basically, the Yatjua who recruited me had been part of a great hunt, where people from across time and space got pulled to an Earth where all of humanity had been killed by this guy. They took care of the monster, humanity got returned to life, and most of the people in the hunt got sent home. Long Fang talked about it on occasion, seemed hung up on this one girl who had been part of the group who broke down and couldn't keep with them to the finish. it was very similar to what's been happening here. Kind of weird, actually, how similar." she tapped at her bracer, and the skull returned to her hand and she attached it back to her belt.

 

[Saltyk]

"That sounds good. Good night, Sir Sable. I'll see you tomorrow." Volarian replied.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall take my leave." He said as he walked into the facility.

OoC: Time for sleep. See you guys tomorrow.

Sable portals back to Castlewood "I need you to track the locations of each of the anomalies in that area so I may return when their day cycle begins. Do you understand monk?"
"Yes baron, I'm on it"

Jessica scratched at her chin with her left hand, as she listened to Lyra. "You know, that sounds an awful lot like what I'm here to study. Our people call it a Dimensional Anomaly, but if my hypothesis is right, they could pretty much be the same thing. People brought from different universes by some force to fulfill some purpose." She replied to Lyra. "Say, would you mind if we kept in contact? I'm actually here to study the Anomaly, so I'd be willing to share anything I learn if you'll do the same for me."

Listening to the conversation between Lyra and Jessica, Loki had to force himself to not chuckle upon hearing Lyra mention a being called long being "hung up over a girl", as she called it. Sentiments. What petty things. Many a time have I used it to my advantage. But only mildly interested in what was being said about the dimensional anomaly, Loki continued to listen in the hope of learning something that he could use at a later date.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"Yeah, that'd be no problem. Too bad the darting dagger isn't here, it has Long Fang's official report on the event. Oh well, I'll just have to recall what I can and hope for the best. Well, I'm off to bed. See ya tomorrow." Lura turned and went into the barracks, grabbing a spot on the floor and curling up, quickly falling asleep.
