Jessica watched the other students as she waited for Sasha to begin, briefly pondering if the students who practiced Earth magic had to bring their own rocks to practice with. When Sasha began, she watched her intently. "Well, that's something I haven't seen before." She muttered to herself as she watched Sasha go. When Sasha was finished, she curiously asked, "So, why's it brown?"
"But why 20 years later? Mom here told me that the conflict started after some city of both sides blew up, and they blamed each other. Why wait 20 years? Should have just done the war to get it over with from the start. Or even better, see who really did start that up."
"Well..." Lucia turned around, to one of the desks and with movements of her hands, brought up a map of the area surrounding Fourside on the holographic screen. Around Fourside, there were several energy readers present, shwown as dots on the map. The ones that were still operational were blue, while the damaged ones were red. Three red dots were to the south-west and west. "If you're offering to look into it, this area is where you'd want to go." Lucia explained, then turned back to Rita. "In the event you learn something useful... I suppose I could give you a little something for the trouble..." she stated, then paused for a moment. "You're intrested in the sphere, no? Should you learn anything, I suppose I could share a few research notes about it."
Sophia dispelled the orb, it seemed to slowly peter out as the runes seemed to glow significantly brighter. "It's brown because... um..." She said trying to come up with the right words. She sat down with Jessica. [sub]"It's... chocolate..."[/sub] She whispered quietly, sounding almost ashamed.
Even after the orb disappeared, other than the occasional glow of the runes from someone launching an attack, they seemed to keep a dim glow.
