Jessica would find a secretary at the desk frantically answering phones.

"Lucia. The scan has detected that the gem gives off Gamma radiation. In addition, they are not known materials?" The receptionist turned lab assistant told Lucia.

"Gamma radiation? No use for that stuff. We have more easily utilized energy sources and I've been increasing the efficiency of it. Try scanning the material for any similar matches. Steel. Mithril. Those sorts of things." Lucia said to the woman never once looking up.

Ness continues walking onward, her face seeming more determined and slightly angered.

Rex eventually walks into the shopping district of the town and starts looking around the shops and stuff.

"Um...Oh! We're looking for some bad guys that took a girl Kaka, meow." Tao explained the reason for her being there.

"Hello there." Echo repeated.

Well, this certainly seems promising. Jessica thought sarcastically to herself as she noticed how busy the secretary was. She sighed and approached the desk, waiting for a moment when the woman would lull enough in her activity to take notice of her.

Kyosuke gave a shrug at Savranth as he continued with Ness. "I wonder if we'll ever see those... Legaian soldiers with the swords in combat." he said aloud.

Noel hmmed at Tao's explanation. "Do we know what this girl kaka looks like?" She continued to smile at Echo.

"You shan't find anything of note this way. This artefact came not from this world, but another one entirely. In that respect, it could be said that it is similar to the sphere you are examining now." Loki interjected. And indeed, neither the gem, nor the staff itself matched any known material found on Alnilam. "Some of the functions are easier demonstrated then explained. So, if I may?"

Rita would find that the skeleton was a person 1.72 cm tall, Male, judging by the pelvis. The layer of dust and the corrosion the bones had suffered as a result of being exposed to the elements suggested that the bones had laid there for a long period of time. Furthermore, the position in which the bones laid suggest that the person was sitting against the wall upon death.

The soldiers stationed outside the armoury gave Envy an odd look when he walked out. "Hey, you, hold up. Where did you come from? I didn't see you entering the armoury..." one of the guards remarked, walking up to Envy.

Ness looks over at Kyosuke and nods slightly as she advances onward. "If we manage to make it to Fourside in time, we'll see those soldiers make their advance along with a large Legaian force. I'm curious to see them in action as well." Although I would've been a lot happier to see the construction process of the armor... or the soldiers themselves...

Savranth doesn't comment.

"I'm well aware of that. Yes, I know. I'm sorry, but I can't tell you anything. Hold on a minute." The secretary looks to Jessica. "Can I help you?"

Rex would find several shops, and outlets with plenty of people.

"Very well. Show me the functions." Lucia says without ever looking up.

The receptionist hands the staff back to Loki.

Tao let go of the two and thought for a moment. "Um...Tao doesn't really remember...Oh! But I know what we can do! We should go to every food place in town and look for bad looking guys, meow." Tao said with great enthusiasm as she formulated her master plan.

Echo facepalmed and Holly giggled.

Hmm, probably died sitting... a strange place to die like that. thought Rita as she turned to leave the area and started heading down the mountain.

Envy turned to the soldiers with a very confused look "...Where did I come from? ...I came from the armory... I'm sorry I don't really get what you're asking, you don't remember seeing me go in?"

Jessica walked slightly closer to the desk after seeing that the secretary had taken notice of her. "Let's see. I'm looking to get some information on people and vehicles that may have entered the city recently. Specifically a blue van and a young beastkin woman. Could you help me with that?"

"Hmmm... Perhaps. I'd like to see if they have any drive in them at all. Or just being told orders." Kyosuke contemplated.

Is she trying to leech off me? "Tao... I don't think it will be that easy." Noel said in a motherly tone.

Charlotte breathed in deeply being let go.

"We don't record the comings and goings of every person. But we do keep a record of vehicles. Can you tell me anything about the van?" The secretary asked.

Rex kept walking around, trying to find any sort of business or deals happening in the shadows or alleyways. Since she said rats, she was taken. Assuming these guys operate like I would if I had a hostage... They need to profit off of her somehow. This seems like the place to sell someone...

Ness puts her hand to her chin. "It would be interesting to see. The last we saw of them would be evidence to them just following orders..."

The cane back in Loki hands, he switched it back to its original form, the scepter. "Now then, the secondary function of this artifact is serving as a weapon, firing a potent blast of energy that explodes upon contanct. Of course, showing this here would be most unwise indeed, so is there a place where I can do so?"

Rita would find nothing noteworthy heading down the mountain.

"No. Because you didn't." the soldier answered. "I've been stationed here nearly all day, and I didn't see you enter."

"Most soldiers follow orders. To not do so is treason. What else would you expect?" Savranth said dryly.

Rex could overhear a conversation.
"Wanna go to the brothel?"
"How is that place still in business?"
"How should I know?"
"I'll pass. That place always gives me the creeps."

"She can show you to a firing range. I'll watch from here." Lucia told Loki, never looking up.

"If you'll follow me..."

"We might as well try, meow." Tao said with a large grin.

Rita started heading back to Fourside

"What is this, a prank? I just walked in a few minutes ago, how did you not see me?" said Envy. He made a mental note for if there were anyone else around them.

Jessica placed a hand on her chin in thought. "Well, like I said, it was blue. And it would have been coming in from Holadino." She told the secretary, relaying most of what she knew about it. She felt slightly embarrassed that she had so little information to give out.
