Ness nods a bit toward Death. "I see. I have an associate you may want to speak with. ...She does things similarly to you, but she has no interest in sending those souls to the other side. Perhaps she'll listen to you, because I sure as hell tried to no avail."

She gives a bit of a concerned look toward Kyosuke. "Kyosuke... Is there something that's bothering you?"

Seeing that Ashley wasn't wearing one of the collars that exploded, Jessica sighed in relief. "You should get Ashley out of here. Before she has to see any of this." Hopefully she hasn't already... Jessica said to Felina. "Just something we gave you to make you feel better." She answered Ashley, putting on a pleasant tone to make the girl feel more at ease. Walking over to the table next to Ashley, she picked up the items that were on it and stuffed them into her coat pockets.

"That is a high probability. But that raises the question, what caused this?" Loki asked. As the wind blowed, some of the ashes that laid at the center of town were blown away, drifting on the wind. After looking around some more, Loki walking towards one of the burned out houses, treading carefully upon entering, looking up to the charred beams above him after each step. After finding that what remained of the structure wasn't going to collapse any time soon, he continued, moving at a normal pace. Entering over to what presumably was a bedroom, Loki walked up to the burned bedframe, a corpse laying in a fetal position on its right side on it. The corpse was burned beyond recognision, the skin and fat having been burned away, leaving only charred muscle tissue, clinging to brittle bones.

As the smoke died down, Rémy would notice ten soldiers standing on the balcony at the end of the lobby, their lasersights sweeping over the floor.

Ness shakes her head as they continue on. Fourside began to remind her of the city her lab was stationed in. She sighed a bit due to homesickness, the talk of Yukino only beginning to make it worse. "I've no idea. If I recall correctly, she said it was something about... keeping ties with the past, but I don't see why that would be so important to her."

Envy stumbled into Everwood, looking pretty beat up from the rock barrage. "Hello? Please, someone help me!" he called out to the town.

The soldiers would see that there was no evidence of any gunfire at all. No bullet holes in the walls, no corpses or wounded people and no guns.
