Lyra finally broke the medistick, and jabbed it into her, causing her to sigh involuntarily. "Sorry, wasn't concentrating that well. Some guy told me it was messing with his head or something, and that he'd pay me gold to kill it. Of course, it was a waste of time, now that that *****-" she points to Rita. "Stole the kill. Now all the credit goes to her, and she gets the trophy. Which I wanted, because the crazy guy offering a bounty on some magical creatures wanted it for confirmation. Damn, what a waste of freaking time." she sighs and pulls herself up.

"So it's like a bell then?" She looked at it curiously, her eyebrow cocked even though Jessica wouldn't be able to see it. Sasha eventually concluded it probably had some sort of spell on it like a rune tablet she'd heard of before.
"I thought getting answers would be important, but you can tell me about this... an-om-a-ly. if you want. I will listen, but... well." Sasha said to Jessica, realizing that much of this world, and the worlds of the others were unfamiliar to her.

Paprika looks up at Dal'Sheen and adjusts her bonnet. "Yes, sir. Just follow me, and I'll go get you a room key." She says with a smile, before looking back to her husband. "You'll be fine, right?"
"Of course, dear. Go help that gentlemen." Thyme replies and kisses his wife on the cheek. "I'll clean up the dishes since you worked so hard on the dinner and helped these late arrivals."
With a small smile, Paprika led Dal'Sheen back to the front desk and started looking for a room key, readjusted her bonnet as it started to slip.

"You're lucky no one was killed, but you still did property damage!" The merman replied. "This is why I want to go back to the ocean."
"Why that stone?" Athena asked as she approaches the merman. "Calm down..."
"Lerron." He identified himself.
"Well, calm down. As you said, no one was injured."

Yukino yawns as she arrives at the base, still following the smell. She'd give off a bit of a dark/evil aura as she enters the main building. Seeing no one else, she walks up to the secretary. A foxgirl of questionable sanity. Completely rendered insane after the shock of losing her entire clan of assassins, she is the sole survivor of the Nishida clan. Out of my hands now though, since That little midget, anime lookin', kill stealing sorcerer gets it." She sighs, and tosses it at Rita, not being to careful where she aims. "Better hope you don't need me anytime soon, kill stealer. You won't find me running to help." Lyra pulls herself up, and dusts off her pants, which had been caked with sand. the four drones came zooming out of the water, before adjusting themselves and docking on her belt. She then turned to the merman. "Why was no one in those buildings anyways? And how come no one had removed a giant sea monster living in the lake? Seems like something you'd want gone so the tourists don't get eaten."
Paprika recovers the key and hands it to Dal'Sheen. "Room 312, on the third floor. Can I help you with anything else, sir?" She asked adjusting her bonnet once more.

I'm trying to figure out what caused it, and am attempting to reverse it. Currently, learning as much about both nations as I can is my current goal." She paused for a moment to let what she had said sink in. "So what do you want to do? I can take you back to the others, or you can help me learn about Legaia."

"Nothing at all. Just tighten the straps on your headpiece if it's slipping so much." He smiled in good humor. "But thank you very much. Your own town reminds me of my own in some ways. Goodnight." He bowed his head and proceeded up the stairs. I guess that's why I'm handling this place a lot better than the mage city.
'Reverse this, and go back..?' Sasha thought briefly, almost getting her answer immediately. "I'm sorry Jessica, but I can't bring myself to help you with your quest. I don't wish to go back!" She answered as she grabbed her elbow with her free hand. "And even if that weren't the case, I want nothing to do with the Legaia and their cursed technology."
"Ah. Well, I feel terrible now. Wonder what the stones are for though, because it strikes me as... worrisome that you have multiple people who want the stone." she said, trying desperately to divert topics.
