"I assume the current goal of these experiments is to have these thralls of yours as inteligent as they were in life?" Loki asked as he watched the Legaian zombie shuffle into a corner. "Either way. Far from perfect or no, little progress is progress still. Dismiss the small details by looking towards the grand goal alone, and sucseed you never shall. But of course, I need not explain this."

"You'll get used to the oddities a journey such as this bring. Or actually, it seems like you already have." Erica said to Rookie with a slight chuckle, then looked back to Tophat. "So, 300 years older, then. That's quite a significant amount. As for that sensation, needless to say I know it intimately. I've come close to dying so many times, I'm not even sure how many times it's been. I am quite suprised I made it in the end, however." she stated, then paused. "Not that that's a complaint, mind you! Anyway, the feeling is a frightening one, at first. Perhaps not so much the process of dying itself, but not knowing what comes afterwards."

Data looks around, and walks up to whoever runs the shoeshop.
"Hello, may I request info on how these shoes are made?" he asked.

(To Erica: My birth kinda showed me what would happen after death, so I don't really fear it. Though, the only time I have been close to death was when I didn't have emotions, so I am not sure how I would react.)

The Rookie grunted in response to Erica, not particularly happy about having the entirety of his world view torn apart.

OOC: @Salt: They don't trust people with tech. Seems prudent to be cautious around people like that if you use tech, since not every soldier in the army is going to know what he looks like or that he's offered to help their side.

"I prefer sleeping outside actually. Thanks." Marston said as he entered the base, tied up his horse, and then began looking for Jess or Ness.

"Um...Tao needs to talk to the guy in charge, meow." Tao said.

Jessica nodded to Athena, then looked at the door. She took a deep breath before opening it and stepping through.

"Intelligence is not the issue. I am a master Necromancer. My zombies are just as intelligent in unlife as they were the moment they died." Nybeth began to explain. He raised one of his hands towards the recently made Legaian zombie, at which point it began performing the exercise drills it had likely been doing days before its own death as a show. "The problem is the lack of spirit. I can resurrect the body perfectly, but without a spirit it lacks all will and personality. Once I grasp how to bring back both body and spirit, then I will have mastered perfect resurrection, and can truly bring people back from death."

 

[Saltyk]

Tiberius looked up at Jessica. "Can I help you?" He asked.

The man pointed down the hall. "Just go down that hall, and knock on the last door on the right. I'll let him know you're coming, Miss..."

There were 10 doors between the front door and her destination.

"The same way we make everything. A simple use of magic to create our wares." The shop keeper answered Data.

Tao walked down the hall and knocked on the door.

Marston grumbled a bit as he was unable to find the girls. He kept looking though.

"May I have a more detailed explanation? Just saying 'Magic' is insufficient to answer my question."

 

[Chungus]

"Why spend your effort attempting to do that? Would making it so that a spirit never leaves the body to begin with not be that much more simple?" Loki asked, his breathing now more shallow, as the chemical fumes and the stench of death were getting to him

"Neither do I. This isn't even because I don't age, as I can still meet my end by other means, but because I made my peace with the prospect of mortality so very long ago. It made life that much more pleasant, I can tell you. I wonder though. Is there such a thing as an afterlife? I would never dare say this in Skyrim, but I am skeptical wherther or not a thing such as Sovngarde exsists. What do you think?"

 

[Kirke]

(To Erica: From what I have seen, there are many different afterlifes and such. For example, I was created when a soul exited the body. There, the soul is immortal, and likely reused. This Sovngarde has shown itself to some degree, when Dromaeus came back from the dead for a short time. Honestly, I have no clue. The universes are grand, and have many wonderful things, but it is foolish to try and make sense of it all.)

"Possibly. I was wondering if there was anything you needed help with, General sir." Jessica answered Tiberius. "You see, my friend is being accused of something she didn't do, so I was thinking that if there was anything she or I could do for you that you might be able to put in a good word for her." She explained.

"Are you insinuating that I have not already looked into such a method?" Nybeth asked, almost seeming insulted by Loki's words. "I have actually managed to achieve such a feat. Yet it is not by my own true hand, and it is still imperfect."

 

[Saltyk]

"Well, according to the letter, she would be cleared of charges once the escaped prisoner is captured. Beyond that, you could assist in the war effort. We'll be moving out, soon enough." Tiberius explained.

"Come on in. I was already told someone was coming." A voice said to Tao from inside the office.

"To do that would be far too complicated and I don't have the time to explain that much. Simply put we use magic to put the shoes together. It's not any different than what anyone else would do. We just do it with magical tools."

Tao entered to office.

Marston entered the main building of the base and continued his search.

"I see. And would it be possible to create an exact replica of a pair of shoes using your tools?" he said.

Holly was already awake (somewhere around the college?), she was trying to practice with her wand a little, making a few bubbles around her.

Black was just sit from the rooftop, watching the people go about there lives.

Suuure all the charges will be cleared. It's not like they could just change their mind, or just be outright lying to me on that. "What could either of us honestly do for the war effort though? I can barely defend myself, and I rather Vanessa not be put into any overly dangerous situations." Jessica asked.

"It was but a suggestion. One that is much less alien to me then to attempt recall a spirit from where they might go upon meeting their end, I might add. But far be it from me to tell you how to go about your expiriments. Conduct them as you see fit. It is high time I get to what I wished to dicuss regardless." Loki stated, then paused, to place extra emphasis on the change of subject. "I aim to set out for Shaintio, the Xiphatian capital in the north this day. While I am there, I wish for you to be my eyes and ears on this continent, to see and hear what I might not."

"It's a thing to busy yourself with should you ever be incredibly bored." Erica jokingly remarked.

(To Erica: I'm fairly certain it also an exellent way of descending into madness!)
OoC: Off to bed, Tophat and the Rookie will stick with Erica.

Tiberius leans forward. "Well, what can you do? I can't offer you any sort of advice on that issue, if I don't know that much."

"Logically. We make plenty of shoes. It's not like every pair is different. We have general stlyes and such that we make. You'd be hard pressed to spot a difference between two pairs of shoes." The shop keeper replied.
"Are you going to buy something or not? I don't have all day to teach you about shoes."

"Yes?" The man said to Tao as she entered, obviously annoyed that she simply entered without making any effort to introduce or excuse herself.
