"Most of the spells I know use magicka as a fuel, if you will, yes. Not all, however. The wind spells I know work differently. But those too, I can't simply use without end. Quite the opposite, in fact. If I use my wind spells to much, I over-exert myself and lose consciousness." Erica explained, looking back up to Sophia, then paused. "This glyph neutralizes magic, doesn't it? If that's the case, why is it glowing right now? I'm not casting any spells, and there isn't anyone in the room one besides us. Or do this glyps simply glow all the time?"

Rex ran up to the mech and promptly punched its head with his arm. His punch seemed to distort the wind as swings his gauntlet hand up.

Ness looked over at Marcus and sighed before turning back to Jessica. "Sure... it may not be worth it, but if that thing were to get out and raise a havoc, we'd be to blame. It's best to end this threat now than to wait." Since she had gotten to the battle late, Ness was unaware of the whole sword fiasco. She brandished her no scope rifle again as she looked toward the temple.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Your wind magic works differently? But how does that work? Shouldn't it all be one source?" Sophia asked. When Erica asked about the glyphs, Sophia grew silent for a few moments. "...Yes they do glow constantly... [sub]'Or at least when I'm around...'[/sub]" She answered.

 

[Saltyk]

Approaching a box with a green glow Savranth thrust the sword in channeling wind magic through the blade as he did. in response, the box seemed to slowly open giving off a gust of wind. As the box split, it revealed a large deep hole that seemed to glow with a slight green hue.
"Okay, anyone have any idea what we should do with these things? I can't use Earth magic!"

Grace's efforts only seemed to annoy the mech as it turned to face her. It's tail came up to take aim at her, but as Rex punched it, the aim was thrown slightly off as it fired a magically charged shot.

 

[Chungus]

"No. My wind magic doesn't use the same source, as it isn't from the same dimension my other magic is from. This hasn't been the first time I've traveled to a diferent dimension, afterall." Erica explained, not going into full detail so to not go on a tangent. "I see. I suppose that's only logical." she stated, following up on her previous question. "Are you alright? You seemed like you sort of zoned out there."

 

[Wackymon]

Grace quickly claws at it's face, before diving under it, sliding between it's legs, and continued to run around the mech.
"LEARN!" she shouts, landing right in front of the yellow forge, taunting it to come charge at her.

OoC: Oddly enough, a spell would probobly have popped up in El Goonish for this situation...

Rex looked over at Grace and sighed a bit. "Neither do I... and I don't think just shoving rocks onto your blade will help. But it's either try that or wait for this thing to lob 'em at you... Heads up!" He winds up and punches the mech in one of its joints.

Ness calmly fired a shot into one other joint.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Not your first time? You;ve done this before?" Sophia asked, actually a bit surprised by this, she hadn't thought that someone would travel from dimension to dimension. Although in hind sight, some of the others did seem to be more accustomed to this situation than she had.

"No no, I'm fine, don't worry about me." She said, as the glyphs grew slightly slightly brighter. "So you were going to teach me some healing magic or something?" She tried to switch subjects.

 

[Drakmorg]

"If we wanted to just do that, we could just reseal the ruins." Jessica replied to Ness. Sighing, she walked back over to the doorway of the Antechamber and looked inside once again. That looks an awful lot like... Noticing the recently opened hole in the ground in front of Savranth, she got an idea. She picked up one of the many bones littering the floor and chucked it into the hole, muttering, [small]"Ew."[/small] to herself repeatedly as she did until the bone left her hand.

 

[Chungus]

"Indeed I have. Not on a regular basis, however. The trips I made to and from this dimension aside, I've traveled to other dimensions... twice. I think." Erica answered, trailing off near the end as she tried and failed to remember the number of times she had traveled to diferent dimensions. "But, yes. I can help you to improve your healing magic, I think. You said you can't do it at all?"

 

[FPSfanatic]

Marcus charged forward, swinging out for his fists to connect on the robots nose. If the hit lands, it would be superhuman in strength.

 

[Wackymon]

... Mind reach max sleepy level, I go bed now. Control grace.

 

[Saltyk]

A single ray of light shoots up in reaction to the bone being thrown in. And then, it shoots back up out of the forge. A slight green glow about the bone.

"... What just happened?" Savranth said as he watched.

The mech ignores Grace, but waves it's tail and sends a gust of wind, threatening to send her flying into the yellow forge.

As it started to approach Savranth, Rex hits one of it's joints, as Vanessa hits another, causing it to stumble a bit. Rebalancing itself, the machine swats him away with one of it's legs before continuing on after Savranth.

Stop.  You are not fit to wield that weapon.

The joints were slightly damaged, but not enough to be dangerous yet.
As Marcus hits the machine, it stumbles back a touch.

This does not concern vermin like you.  Begone.

One of the laser barrels aims at Marcus and fires.

 

[Zepherus14]

Sophia nodded as Erica restated her understanding of where Sophia was with her healing training. "No I can't get it to work, no matter how much I try, it just doesn't feel right, yet at the same time deep down I know I can do it. Here goes."

Sophia took a deep as she raised her hands outwards a bit, not facing Erica. As she concentrated a veil of brown mist appeared around her hands. It seemed very dispersed at first, but then started to condense towards her hands. This was then met with the magic starting to reject how it was being used, spurting out from the field it was in, sparking, and swirling violently where just a few of the things it did. Sophia although calm at first, did look like she was trying as hard as she could for it to work, but her magic simply refused to cooperate.

The glyph shone quite bright as she did her spell, until they reverted to their regular glow when she ended it. "See what I mean? I know I have the technique, I just know it! But I can't get it to work no matter how much I try." She sighed.

 

[Drakmorg]

That was quite a bit different from what I was expecting. Jessica held out her right hand to the now-glowing bone and focused. The bone disappeared in a flash of golden light and reappeared in Jessica's hand with a similar flash. "I don't know, but maybe I can find out." She shouted back to Savranth as she examined the bone thoroughly with all of her senses.

Rex slid back and coughed up a bit more blood as the mech swatted him away. He blinked a bit before putting two and two together as he saw the bone through slightly blurred eyes. "Hey Sav, you should totally shove that sword into a forge you opened. " He coughed before dropping to one knee.

[hr]

Ness cautiously moved toward Rex as she fired another two shots from her rifle into the mech's joints. She calmly went about reloading as she kept an eye on the machine. ...An enchantment center?

As the laser blasted Marcus, it scraped away the skin over his face, revealing cold steel and red orbs. He swung again, adding even more strength into the swing then before, aiming at the things head again.
OoC so a human that thinks she's a predator, an ultra smart, independent Xenomorph, and a Terminator that thinks its human walk into a bar...

Erica carefully examined Sophia's displayed, trying too get an understanding of how Sophia's magic worked. When Sophia finished, Erica wrapped her left arm around her waist and ressted her right elbow on her left wrist as she brought her right hand to her chin. "Hmm... Well, I don't know how magic here works, so I can't say all that much just from watching a single display. However, when I was a student and tried to use Conjuration magic, and kept failing at it, I was told to go over the process of casting the spell step by step so to identifying where I was going wrong. So, you should do the same thing. So, where did you go wrong? I assume the sputtering that sphere you conjured up is when the spell failed?"

OoC @Drakmorg: All of her senses? Including taste? Eww.

 

[Saltyk]

"I'm not sure what effect that would have..." Savranth replied to Rex.

Jessica would sense magic coursing through the bone. It seemed to be enchanted with Wind Magic.

Vanessa's shots cause the mech to buckle as Marcus punches it knocking it to it's knees.

Main Cannon:  Cool Down Complete.  Beginning charging Main Cannon.

Great Winds began to swirl around the mech as it started to generate powerful winds strong enough to qualify for a tornado.

"Yes, it's supposed to condense around the hands and then the spell is complete and ready to use." She answered. "But it simply won't go through, it's like a square peg in a round hole. If I can get passed that one part I should be finished." She stated, frowning a little. "With almost all the spells I've learned here, I've had to adapt at least something by myself for it to work, but this. I just can't figure out what I'm missing." She said, Erica could tell that she was winding herself up.
