"This is Lyra Reed, Long Fang of the wolves, with my last message to any clansmen who could hear this. Let it be known on this day, the last days of my life, that I nominate Mortimer Brown, second fang of the wolves, as my successor. May he lead you all well, into the halls of greatness and pride. Let the ship, Striking dagger, the tool our Long Fang Dancing Blade used to rebuild the clan, be his own personal ship, as it was mine. Let any who swear fealty to me know that your fealty can be offered to him in good faith, as he served me well during my time as long fang.
I near death, due to the actions of many. I can not lie and say that I did not cause my own death, as well as any other. I trusted the wrong people, and I suffered because of it. I would ask that you do not blame them, as they failed me in ways they could not help. Unless you learn they deliberately left me here to die, do not hunt Vanessa or Jessica, or Erica or Grace. They were never the most attentive of friends, but I believe they did not choose to let me simmer in poison and pain of their own volition. If anyone should be blamed, blame the Venomous fangs, who poisoned me. They sit above this world I transmit from, weak and alone. They cower in the hope of taking this planet as their own, to grow strong again.
Do not let them. Bring all you can to fight them in this endeavor. They were willing to commit genocide because they refused to allow themselves to be weaker in their forefathers eyes, to allow other species to join them on the stage of the galaxy. Punish them for these crimes, but do not seek vengeance.
If you can however, come and recover Marcus and Xyleena, the fangs who came at the beck of my call, risking and losing all in the service of their Long Fang. I will forever be in their debt, and hope Mortimer take on that debt with pride. Recover them, if at all possible. If not, honor them as our greatest soldiers, who fought during the most difficult battles, fighting for a humanity they were never a part of but felt a kinship with. They earned their humanity in these days.
That is all I can say to you, fellow brothers and sisters of the Wolves. Remember Terra. Remember the Betrayal." throughout this, Lyra had spoken with a clear voice, but here she hesitated. [sub]"Remember me."[/sub]
The message would repeat.
