"There are no curses here. That fool only wants to alter nature, and I will have nothing to do with that." Persephone said to Yuki as she walked away from the crazy guy.

"No, I haven't. I vaguely remember them, but have seen hide nor hair of them in a long time. No idea what they have been up to." Savranth answered. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by that much, though."

The general followed Envy, and called out on comms "first blazer to hit that northward bound bird gets a week off patrol duty."
Laser beams began crisscrossing the sky to hit the bird from the soldiers patrolling on the ramparts, strange plasmacasters on stilts they wore spewing out a constant bean to cook the bird. If they impacted, they would apply the heat of a sun's core against the target.
OoC so, turns out there was an AvP strategy game, and this weapon was there colossi-esque unit. 'I found my heavy unit to counter mechs' I said to myself after reading the wiki.

Yuki smiled wide as she walked along with the muse. "Right... dude's a fraud. I don't think anyone will miss him if he disappears, right?"

OoC: @FPS, suns core? Pretty sure that would set the forest on fire just by being vaguely close to it

Envy put himself in free fall to avoid the blasts, skirting the tree line as he headed northwest, vaguely towards Winterhorn, before diving beneath the treeline.

[sub]"So...what should we do now then?"[/sub] Jessica asked Savranth. [sub]"Should we try and find them to work out the details of what we have to do, like you said?...We can't exactly ask the King about what we want to know until we finish doing what he asked us to do."[/sub]

"I am rather at a loss also. Logic tells me a submergable base would be unlikely, as this would surely be discovered when it was constructed... But then again, where would those ships have disappeared to..."

OoC @Furi *shrug* from what the wiki says, it applies it on impact, and only lights the object it touches on fire. Maybe there's a second beam that sheathes the first, keeping its damage to the target area?
The beams cut off when Envy dived lower then the shooters could repress there weapons. The general watched the sky for a moment, before shrugging. "Good of an excuse as any to wage war against them." He said, walking back to his tent, rubbing the plate over his stomach Envy had dented.

That's...pretty insane man. That seems OP to me. I mean, I'm no @Slenn, but I would think something that hot would vaporize...anything really, unless some kind of magical immunity is involved. And if they are firing lasers, that makes it near impossible to dodge. Hell, I don't think would even slow down a beam like that. It should just keep vaporizing stuff and keep going and going, right?

"That may be the best course. Though, I am curious as to why you didn't ask the King about the 'Divine Authority'. I would have expected you to ask about that." Savranth says to Jessica.

The General's wrist device would start to sound an alarm. A screeching and painful sound even to his own sense.

OoC: @Loki, I dunno
@FPS, I think suns core is more likely a colorful exaggeration, otherwise those shots would be a one hit kill on any substance they touched

"Maybe they have some kind of technology we aren't aware of that allows them to hide?" suggested Rita

Envy began the long treck back towards Port Letosh, taking the long way back.

"Well...that's that then...I guess..." I say to the general. Not good times...Not good for anyone...

[hr]

"You really are an assassin. That man is a loon if I have ever seen one, however...I will neither condone nor condemn any action you take against him." Persephone said to Yukino after some thought.

Yeah, unless these guys have Imperial Storm Trooper level aim, those things are walking instakillers.

OoC @Furi yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think thats the right call. Okay, they simply light stuff on fire then, like normal flames. Sounds fair for everyone?

Yuki continued to smile as she nodded toward Persephone. "Glad to see we're in some sort of agreement for once. He's basically been shunned by this town anyway, I'd be doing him a favor."

[hr]

The clone would continue to watch and stalk Chafla, cloaked, from its perch up top.

But that's less like a laser-beam-shooter-thingy and more like a flame thrower, isn't it?

@Salt: Edits.

OoC: @FPS, well I know they can blast holes right through squishy people and stuff, so I'd put it a bit above setting them on fire, just not the core of a star

OoC @Outis well, its got a hell of a lot more precise aiming then flamers, and a much longer reach. I'd say its a good improvement of an old combat method to inspire fear in the enemies. Besides, these are aliens we're talking about here. Mildly implausible weaponry and tactics are supposed to be cup and tea with them, aren't they?

[sub]"I didn't ask because I didn't expect him to answer."[/sub] Jessica explained. [sub]"He probably wouldn't say anything about that to total strangers, so I figured I'd just ask him about it after we did this task for him...You must have been thinking the same thing, or at least something similar, right?...Otherwise you would have brought it up to him."[/sub]

"I'm just touched you would think to ask my permission for something like this." Persephone said, smiling and pulling Yukino a little closer her. Yukino would probably smell a sort light, smoky and moist fragrance coming off of Percey. She hair would also get a little staticy and she would feel a little tingle.

OOC: @FPS: I'd just keep them laser beams, but keep the actual power level sort of ambiguous, but still below star-core heat.
